There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Someone is banging at Brady's Malibu hotel room door. Tis Summer, who is stressed about all the stories he has been telling her. He gets her a glass of water, talks her down, and suggests she at least come home to Salem with them for the DNA test. She is nervous about being disappointed and dropped if the DNA does not match Maggie's. Brady believes in the power of Daniel's heart, however. Summer asks about Maggie. She finds out she was Brady's AA sponsor and acts surprised he was ever an addict ... At the dark park Hope stresses to Rafe about what Victor said of Deimos working with the dastardly Dr. Malcolm. That means she might have shot and killed the wrong man! Rafe scoffs at the notion of Stefano being an innocent man. Hope promises not to do anything ... Sultry Gabi has seen JJ's car at the nightclub, where he is doing his best to forget about his bad day. She joins him and gives him a pep talk about being a great cop. He saved her once and she will never forget it. JJ wants to slow dance. They get hot and heavy on the dance floor. Gabi is a girl who knows what she wants ... The beach bar is close to closing when Nicole comes in. Dario offers her a drink on the house. He assumes she will want hard stuff but all she wants is white wine. He teases she changed and they sit at a table to catch up ... Brady makes Summer promise not to try and die in the ocean again. She admits she felt like she was drowning anyway, at least until he came along ... Always a detective, Hope notes she would need something on Deimos to connect the dots. The commissioner calls. Rafe has gotten a text from Roman, summoning him to the station stat. He assures Hope he is on her side no worries. He looks deeply into her eyes before departing ... Dario airily admits he has not contacted his siblings since quitting his corporate job in Argentina. He is impressed when Nicole shows him Gabi's great modeling shots. Nicole notes it was Kate who hired her. Now she and Theresa have their own company called DJ Wear, named after the late Daniel Jonas. He is flabbergasted to find out Dan died in a car crash. Nicole cries she cannot get over it. Dario is sympathetic. They clink their wine glasses in memory of the mighty medicine man ... Nicole now gets down to business. She is after what she senses Dario knows about Dan's connection to Summer but has not said ... Brady gives Summer a pep talk and convinces her to take a chance, come to Salem for that DNA test. Her eyes light up when she learns the private jet is leaving at nine in the morning. She bearhugs him before heading home to pack her bag. Brady turns back to the bedroom as Theresa emerges in her colorful robe, her expression dark ... Beach boy Dario casually claims his only knowledge of Summer's association with Dan is that they were friends and he helped her. She never mentioned any kind of love connection ... Theresa sighs she hopes Brady knows what he is doing with that woman. Brady sighs he does too but he had to do it. Theresa questions whether the woman could be conning him. Brady quips he knew when she was conning him. Besides this could be Dan's very last thing to do. Theresa has now heard the theory of Dan suspecting Summer was his sister and Maggie's daughter ... Roman has summoned Rafe to the station. He has on his desk the closed case file of Stefano DiMera's murder and asks Rafe what else he knows of Hope's ... activities. He reminds him he already lost his badge once before. Rafe plays it cool. He reasons Andre is a crazy killer. Hawkish Roman agrees he is guilty of that in other cases and wonders whether Rafe has anything to add. Rafe declines to comment. Roman gives him an intense stare and states he is free to go ... Back in their Malibu room, Theresa asks Brady about his missing sobriety badge. Brady assumes it fell out of his pocket in the water when he went in to save Summer. He suspects it is lost forever ... In her room, Summer holds Brady's sobriety badge like a woman obsessed ... Nicole probes Dario for the real reason he quit his corporate job. He felt he did not belong in the world of biz and will only say he is trying to find himself. He lets her know it is his day off tomorrow. She smiles, lets him know she leaves in the morning, then gushes she will tell his siblings how great he looks. Must be in the genes ... Rafe heads back to Horton house, where Hope is alone. She thanks him for being on her side and gushes she got some BBQ chicken. Rafe gushes and accepts when she invites him to stay. As she goes in the kitchen for the food, he answers his phone. Tis brother Dario. Rafe gets sarcastic about the more than a year of silence. Dario is not in the mood to be judged. He asks about Gabi and Arianna ... Gabi and JJ are taking the long way as they walk through the town square together. She feels they have been dancing around something and states she got a sitter for the night and booked them a room at the Salem Inn just in case. He wonders whether she is sure so she shows him with a loooooong kiss ... Theresa ends a call with an update on Tate. The little man just stood in his crib! Brady cuddles with her on the couch and grins he has got to get home to the little man he misses. His parents cannot wait to see him take his first steps. Theresa sighs she is sorry for making such a big deal over Summer but she wants no more bad things to happen ... Knock knock! Tis Nicole asking to fly home on the Kiriakis jet in the morning ... JJ and Gabi slowly make love in their romantic room at the Salem Inn ... Hope has food and a beer for buddy Rafe. He updates her on Dario calling. She wonders what he said about Eduardo being in Salem. Not much. Rafe admits he is uneasy about the drama with his dad and does miss his mom but a happy family reunion seems unlikely. They chow down together ... Nicole learns that Summer has agreed to return to Salem. Naturally Nicole supports the development, since she believes this might be Daniel's last gift to his grieving mother ... Detective Lani comes in with a new file for Roman to review but the commissioner has already closed the case of Stefano's murder. Lani gives him a look. He orders her to let it go. She assures him she will but her eyes betray her emotions ... Hope sees Rafe to the door. He grins thanks for dinner. She grins and thanks him for everything. Thanks to him she has a future with her kids. He harbors no regrets and would do it all over again. Hope dares to dream. The future feels bright. Their eyes lock ... THE END! Ahead on Days of Our Lives: Joe confesses his crime to mama Kayla, Steve takes the fall. Chad has something to say to Stefano, Eric's kiss has been forgotten. Ouch! |
