EJ wishes to know wot she thinks of his proposal. She smiles like a girl whose dreams have come true. She cannot believe it. He admits it was not entirely his idea and credits Diane in accounting for giving him the great idea. Then he thought wot the hell! Sami is flabbergasted by his attitude. EJ explains it is not a lifetime commitment. And these things do tarnish … She gasps it is not a real diamond? He laughs it is a zirconium. She thinks he feels this is not worth it. He chuckles one of the perks would be to get her out of the office. She could see the kids more often and William. If he ever gets stuck, he will call Diane … Sami's cheeks redden. “Like hell!” - Cam arrives on Abigail’s doorstep with something from the bakery and a warm smile. She is happy to see him. - At the coffee house, Will has approached Sonny, who is symbolically holding a heart. Sonny smiles and notes Will is beaming. He assumes he knows why, too. It must concern his daughter. He noticed how he lights up whenever he talks about her, like when he proudly showed him the sonogram. Will gushes that was an amazing day. Sonny gushes he will be an amazing father. Will now brings up the gift he sent him. Sonny is sorry he did not cancel, for he ordered that a month ago, just after he moved in. Will suddenly gets it. He politely offers to give it back but Sonny truly wants him to keep it. - In her room, Gabi warns Nick that Will could get custody easily. How could he think otherwise? Nick notes Sami, EJ, and that other gay boy are the real problem. Gabi is shocked he called Sonny the other gay boy. Nick claims he meant nothing by it. Gabi thinks it sounded like Nick wants to keep the baby from Will and Sonny because they are gay but Nick denies it. He is worried about who Will is listening to these days, like that trouble maker Sami. If she talks full custody to Sonny too … Gabi sighs everyone in that family hates her. Nick announces he has a plan. For the moment, however, she has to just trust him. All he can say is that he is not the only one with a past. At least he paid his debt to society, whereas Will and his dubious family are full of skeletons. - Kate waltzes into Rafe’s office and notices he is reading Nick’s file. He must have listened to her advice! He shuts the dossier and grins it is confidential. However, he did text her to come by. He wants to discuss Sami. They head to the town square café for a chat and sit at a table. She makes a snide remark about being at the scene of the crime. Rafe has other matters on his mind and gets straight to the point. This is about Sami and EJ insisting on the paternity test. They have even suggested that sister Gabi might put Nick’s name on the birth certificate just to tie things up. Kate muses that is what she would do if she wanted to keep the real father at bay. Rafe suggests Gabi is nothing like her. Kate concludes Gabi and Will are going to do the right thing. She sighs and Rafe wonders what irks her. One Nick Fallon! - As Cam and Abigail enjoy their breakfast treats, he notices boxes in the living room. She explains they were going through some family boxes. He spies a box commemorating her school days and teases her profusely about it, including a sweet card from a guy he thinks was her first love. - EJ insists the idea was a good one, he thought. And when Diane gave him the ring … Sami gets even more incensed and he talks visuals. She does not understand. He suddenly whips out more rings and then shows her an ad campaign on his computer for nail polish – called the gemstone collection. He hopes she thinks it is a brilliant idea. Sami turns and gasps “Oh my God. I can’t believe I thought ….” He wants her to tell what she thought. She stammers she will, to honor the fact that they are open with one another. She is just finding it a tad difficult … - Rafe is certain that Nick, problematic as he once was, is entirely there for Gabi and the baby and is supportive of Will being in his baby’s life. Kate reminds him she caught him looking through Nick’s criminal file and deduces he is in no hurry to give his blessing! - Gabi states Nick’s idea sounds suspiciously like blackmail and urges him not to take chances or the parole board could cause trouble. Nick insists he is only after the truth and what follows is entirely up to Will! - Meanwhile, at the coffee house, Will and Sonny sit at a table together. Will listens to Sonny’s unique playlist and teases him about it, though he thoroughly he enjoys the songs. Sonny listens to part of a song and notes he makes a good playlist. Their faces are getting closer. Will remarks it is also what he said that is important … He proceeds to get the note from his bag, until Brian appears and grins at Sonny. “You ready to go?” Will stares. Sonny explains he will be ready in two minutes. He lost track of time. Will jumps up, stammers he should go, and exits. Brian asks Sonny if all is well. He hopes he did not forget their meeting and points out his gym just opened up a new rock climbing wall … - Cam is looking through Abigail’s senior year yearbook to check out the competition. He teases her about a boy called Stuart. He gets back to the book, and asks what the golden circle club is. Abigail drops her dishes with a crash. He helps her clean up and assures her he will not push. He assumes the golden circle club relates to investment. No, it does not. He sees it is making her rather uneasy and admits he once belonged to young doctors of America. He hopes she will share her cheesy club story now. Before he can press, he is paged to the hospital. Abigail kisses him on the lips. He smiles and departs, having promised to bring extra dessert next time. - Rafe claims he wants to be prepared, but Kate suspects he is rattled by Sami. He denies it and doubts Gabi would put Nick’s name on the birth certificate. Kate begs to differ, especially if Nick wants her to do as he says. In addition, Sami will argue that Gabi’s choice of Nick as a mate casts doubt on Gabi’s choices. Will is not the problem. Rafe realizes the problem is Nick. Now what do they do? She suggests they officially show him that they are on the same side, a unified front. Rafe assumes Nick is on the same side as Gabi and the baby and Will. What would such a meeting accomplish therefore? Kate tells him to trust her on this. - Gabi wishes they could enjoy this exciting time. Nick promises they will, they gets an unexpected text from boss lady Kate. Time to go to a meeting! Once alone, Gabi assures her baby that daddy Nick will fix everything. - Sami has told her embarrassing tale of anticipating a marriage proposal, even boasting to Will. EJ tenderly states that at this point in time it would not be a good idea. In fact, it surprises him that the notion did not send her running. She admits she thought about it but then that ring box made everything fuzzy … EJ is amused. He comes up behind her and teases that life with her would never be dull and he would not change that for any other woman. He kisses her neck. She turns around, makes a joke to mask her embarrassment, and they continue kissing. EJ suddenly gets a mischievous look in his eye, and locks the door. Sami giggles they cannot but he drawls he can do anything he wants and takes her to the desk. He wants her right here right now … - Will feels like a fool and needs someone to talk to. Who better than his old friend Gabi! He arrives at her room and melodramatically laments what is the matter with him. He hopes she did not tell anyone what he said about getting back together with Sonny. Negative. He hopes they can still talk about stuff too. She assures him they can. Will now updates her that he misunderstood Sonny. She encourages him not to give up but Will complains Sonny is with Brian now. The gift and note about new beginnings was done after they moved in together. He was ready to go on a date with Brian when he met him today. Gabi is convinced that Sonny’s feelings for him are still there, but Will would rather focus on other things, like school and … He admires a tiny pair of pink pajamas and adds he will be able to focus on their daughter more. He swears her to secrecy regarding Sonny. Gabi thinks he should tell Sonny what he had thought but Will disagrees. She promises to keep his secret and they pinky swear. Before he goes, Will casually asks if she has made the appointment for the paternity test yet … - Nick arrives at the town square to talk to boss lady Kate and is surprised this is not about business.
