Dr. Dan is in the lounge. Theresa wants to talk. He is busy but is unable to blow her off. Theresa gets sarcastic about his daughter falling for bad news Brady the addict ... Brady and Mel are sweetly kissing in the stately Kiriakis home. Butler Henderson interrupts with the mail for Master Brady. One envelope in particular perturbs him. Mel notices ...Serena the fallen female manages to hide her fallen elephant in her bag. Nicole notices and wonders what she shoved in there so fast ... Ben is at the pub. He pouts when Chad joins him to strategize about his hearing, warning if he does not use the DiMera lawyer he could be sunk. Chad could be forced to give testimony and he would have to admit what he said about Jordan being better in bed than Abigail. Belligerent Ben scowls. He suspects Chad is up to no good and gives his lawyer the brush off. Daddy Clyde got him a capable attorney. Chad stands up and asks the name. Jennings. One Aiden Jennings ...Abigail approaches hardworking Jordan in her office. Has she spoken with Chad? No and she might never again. Abigail asks her to ask Ben to at least consider his offer to pay for his lawyer. Jordan sighs that was something Clyde said he would provide. She pouts then he up and vanished. Abigail is surprised she has not heard the news. Clyde has emerged ... As Aiden on Meredith's video bangs on the door, demanding she open, real Aiden does the same to Hope. Hope panics. She hastily hides the tablet and opens the door. There stands smiling Aiden. Hope is pale. He wonders what is the matter ... Eric tries to avert a disaster - to prevent Nicole from dropping by his place to apologize. Her phone goes straight to voice mail. He knows Serena is there alone and this will not end well ... Serena accuses Nicole of stalking her. Nicole accuses her of hiding something in her purse ... Dan sighs and wishes Theresa would mind her own business. She feels it should be his business that Brady has a history of hurting women. It will not end well for Mel ... Hope mutters she was feeling queasy but feels better now. Aiden appears to accept the explanation and goes to the car for the remaining grocery bags, leaving the front door open. Hope is frantic to make a phone call. No luck. She curses. It seems she is entirely at the man's mercy. Aiden explains he found out the bridge could be out for another one or two nights. It will be just the two of them. Hope is horrified ...Jordan sighs she does not understand why Chad does the things he does. Abi refers to his tragic past. Jordan asks her to stay and enlighten her ... Brady hands curious Mel the envelope from the adoption agency. He has tried to get off their mailing list but to no avail. It is therefore no surprise they sent him this. But the memory it brings up is a painful one. He admits he and Kristen were trying to adopt and gets choked up. Mel has opened the letter, which listed a little girl that would have been a perfect match for the couple. Brady sighs this is yet another sign of what a screw-up he was with Kristen in his sphere ... Dan tells of Theresa for claiming she cared about Brady when all she did was enable him so she could get close to his cash. Theresa warns he will only hurt his daughter ... Serena lies she was saving her present to surprise Eric. She has extreme mistrust of Nicole and flies at her for barging in where she is not invited and not wanted. Nicole calmly notes the door was open. Serena screams up a storm over the intrusion. Nicole does not sink to her level and politely takes her leave ... until Eric appears at the door ... Aiden wants to discuss dinner. Hope just wants a payphone, as she needs to contact Shawn, to let him know her Tahiti arrival has been delayed. Aiden offers to drive her to town for the payphone. Later. First she should have a drink with him. Hope would rather go to town on foot and walks out. Aiden wonders ... Mel wants to make Brady forget the pain of his past. Brady would rather be alone and sends her off to work. They kiss and she takes her leave. Brady sighs ... Eric fears Nicole and Serena were fighting again. Nicole explains how she came upon the open door. Serena accuses her of spying. Nicole denies it. Serena suddenly states she overreacted and for that she is sorry. Nicole is sorry for the timing, sorry for Serena's fall,and sorry in general to Eric. She hopes he will like Serena's present. The fallen father glowers as she goes. Eric would now like to know about the present. Serena sweetly smiles she must have misunderstood, she has a surprise for him, not a present. The surprise is her plan to whip up omelets in his kitchen. Serena now seems to be channeling her inner Martha Stewart ... Eric gets especially intense when she suggests Nicole is nice. He never wants to talk about Nicole again, having a hard time getting over her betrayal still ... Nicole is disagreeing with her persistent producer over the phone as she comes into the club. She will not do what he wants! Dan the man happens to be nearby and he can hear every word ...Jordan has just heard the tale of Chad, who lost his mother after they argued and was dragged into the DiMera world, only to lose his siblings. Jordan now realizes why he refuses to remember his past and remembers her own run-ins with Clyde. In her mind, the drama of being a DiMera is not much different than being the stepdaughter of creepy Clyde ... Hope is lurking outside Aiden's house, desperate to clear her head, desperate to make sense of it all ... Aiden remains inside. He sits down with a drink, only to come across Meredith's tablet tucked behind a cushion on the couch. He presses play and makes a strange face ... Dan hears Nicole as she snaps she will not be duped into doing an expose on Sonny, the way she was made to do with Eric. Click! Dan lets her know he is impressed and thanks her. Nicole admits she is trying to do the right thing because of him. She LOVES him! Dan is at a loss. Nicole lets him know she hopes one day he will see he made her want to be a better woman ... Mel calls Brady from the nurse's station, sorry about the adoption letter that reminded him of Kristen. Brady has decided to leave the past in the past, looking forward to his future with her. Mel gushes she loves him and gets off the phone. Theresa appears, angry and jealous. She taunts Brady for being foolish enough to think he could have a child with Kristen. She feels that witch would be the mother from hell! Clint is nearby and watches and listens ... Theresa thinks Kristen did not measure up to her, for Brady was so hot for her he did not even use protection ... Creepy Clint continues to eavesdrop ... She gets madder when Mel defends Brady and hisses when they had that preggers scare, he said they would both be terrible parents. That includes him ... Abigail and Ben are having a bite to eat at the pub. He admits his attorney is not in town. Abigail urges him to accept Chad's offer of help She says this out of love for Ben ... Chad runs into Jordan at the hospital, where he went on board business. They discuss Ben's plight and he boasts he could prevent her brother from going to trial. Ponytail Jordan places a hand on his arm and smiles, thanking him for his kindness. Romeo Chad blurts out he does want her back but make no mistake, he is not kind. Then he saunters off ... Hope decides to give Aiden the benefit of the doubt and heads back in the house. She cannot help but notice the strange scuff marks leading away from the locked closet Meredith had mentioned ... Serena gets emotional and promises Eric she will never hurt him like those other women. She gets to work on the omelets. Eric gets a call that changes everything. The superintendant has had to turn off the gas in the entire building due to repairs so she cannot cook. Serena agrees to meet up as soon as she goes to her hotel room. Eric asks for his key back. She smiles she forgot and hands it over. Out in the hall, her eyes darken ... Clint comes to get Theresa. When she steps away for her coat, he threatens Mel to stop bugging Theresa, he is looking out for her. Once the pair leave, Mel considers, finding it odd that Clint promised to investigate Mel to Mandrake, only to tell Theresa he was her protector ... Theresa and Clint are at the square. She spies Brady and slyly suggests Clint go get them both a drink. Clueless Clint agrees ... Theresa now taunts baffled Brady about his adoption antics, hissing he would be a horrible father ... Mel is back at home on the computer and does an internet search of Mandrake physicians. What she sees makes her gasp ... Hope hastily gets the closet door open with a letter opener left out. She is shocked to find the axe, hyperventilates there has to be an explanation and leaves it in the closet, closing the door. Hope is standing alone in the house, her eyes haunted. Aiden comes up behind her as dangerous music plays, though nothing is as it seems ... stay tuned! THE END! . |
