There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Kayla sweeps into Steve's room and sweetness has a plan. She grabs his phone, much to his surprise, and texts the stalker to show their face and meet them at the park in 30 minutes. Steve smiles. Elsewhere slim black gloved hands reply. Steve reads the reply. They took the bait! But Kayla wishes he would not take his weapon along. He begs to differ, wanting to have her back like he always does ... The boss lady hands Ed the ipad, points out the password is the same, and suggests he read his orders. Ed refuses as he wishes to be left in peace for the remaining days of his life. The sultry woman wickedly warns him he cannot say no to the organization and takes his soft hand in hers. He sighs they are blood stained. She leaves him to his assignment ... At the home they share, Marlena is worried about the fact that John's trail on Sami has gone cold. He thinks that could be a good thing, given that way the DiMeras will not be able to find her. He now notes his Winterthorne subject is in his Salem Inn room and leaves to make one last attempt to uncover his past. Marlena looks like she has a bad feeling ... At the grand DiMera mansion, Stefano curses Samantha. Chad waltzes in telling the tale of Ben being the necktie killer. Stefano feels he was wasting his time and snaps his birthright is gone courtesy of Samantha! Chad hears all about it and grins he cares not it is gone. He suggests it is EJ's fault for somehow getting Sami to do his bidding. Stefano stares at him darkly ... Andre approaches Belle at the square and slyly broaches the subject of Sami. She plays innocent so he suggests she give her sista a message - to give back the money. He promises the DiMeras will turn the other way ... The dastardly doctor is about to choke Hope but his own agenda stops him. Greed. He sneers to get him five hundred thousand dollars as he was owed and promises to get her proof and the name she is after. They made the deal and he walks away. Hope takes a few deep breaths and heads home. At the door she puts powder on her bruised face. Inside, she promises her worried daughter she will put her first and they hug. Ciara gets emotional about needing her. Once alone, Hope works the phone to get the money ... At the hospital Jen stands by Abigail, who is asked to give the baby to the nurse for a checkup. Abigail gets to the forms she wants to fill out right away and sees a birth certificate form. She decides on the name she really wanted for her son. Thomas Jack Deveraux. Mother and daughter emotionally embrace ... John Black interrupts Ed's notes when he knocks at his door. He introduces himself and explains he too went to Winterthorne. He has some questions. Ed is cordial and offers him a drink. John produces his picture at the age of 13. Ed evidently recognizes him, then lies he remembers no names from that academy he disliked. John drinks up and pretends to believe him but he knows the elusive Eduardo is hiding something ... Steve sneaks another kiss from Kayla, who decides that is all for now and gets going. He sighs and goes after her. He always does ... Marlena arrives at the square in time to see Andre hounding Belle. He smiles wickedly and she snaps to stay away from her daughter. Andre smoothly states he could get a restraining order against her for such threats and reminds her other daughta Samantha is in over her head ... Joe show up at the park to meet his parents. They are flabbergasted. He faces them and announces they texted him to come here. It gets even more tangled when the stalker he has unsuspectingly trusted so far texts him to take the blame. Joe would rather not but Steve starts to probe. Joe admits he drugged himself to pass out so they would meet up at the hospital, where he got the orderly to lock them in the closet. He is pleased it worked to get his parents back together. Dr. Kayla lectures him for risking his life with the drugs. Steve acts like he believes him too but when he returns to his room with Kayla, he gets serious. He suspects their son was involved. However, he is NOT their stalker ... Hope calls Malcolm as he sits on a park bench by his lonesome. The money will be ready in 2 hours. He orders her to come alone. The call ends and Hope answers the knocker at her door. Tis Rafe, who knows something is very wrong ... Hope cannot look Rafe in the eye. She lies she simply needed space. Partner Rafe points out she did not even tell him she tried to quit the force. She points out she is no longer his partner. Rafe was worried sick about her vigilante plans. She believes he is trying to look out for her as per his promise to Bo. Rafe blurts out Bo knew he would help her anyway as he LOVES her. Hope suddenly gets quiet. So does Rafe ... Chad is drunk with happiness and grins they get to live like normal people now that the DiMera fortune is gone. Stefano stares at him like he has two heads. Chad excuses himself to the hospital. Andre arrives at the mansion and assures fatha he has made progress. He is getting closer and has a plan ... Belle does not understand what Andre was all about. Marlena will not say more so Belle excuses herself. She leaves Sami a message to please return her call cos she needs to know what is going on. Something is very strange ... Abigail and Jen are standing by the baby's incubator at the hospital. Chad arrives and Jen hugs him in gratitude for saving the day. He makes light of his heroism. Jen leaves to update the family ... Hope softly states she needs to rest. Rafe reluctantly agrees and walks out the door, hanging his head ... As Steve insists to sweetness that Joe is not their big stalker, unsuspecting Joe meets Madame Stalker at the park. He grins to Ava Vitali that her plan to get his parents back together is working. She removes her black sunglasses with an evil smile. PURRRRRFECT ... John is back at the town home with Marlena. She complains about Andre being after Sami but he feels Andre is no threat. If he were, he would not be so vocal. Sami seems to be safe for now as the DiMeras are unable to find her. Marlena accepts his explanation and asks him about his own meeting. He muses he knows for a fact that Ed was hiding something. He claimed to dislike and dismiss Winterthorne Academy, though he was wearing the school ring. He knows something ... Back in his room, Ed drowns his sorrows. He then opens the ipad containing the file on his latest subject - JOHN BLACK ... Sami finally sends sister Belle a very vague text. She is keeping enough money for the kids and enough to find what she needs. The rest is for her sister to build something wonderful. Belle starts to smile ... At the dark and dismal DiMera mansion Andre announces to fatha that young Belle is the key to tracking down Samantha. He suggests Chad romance the young woman to get the information they seek that will lead to their long lost money. The phoenix is listening ... Chad hopes the baby is alright. Abi gushes he is fine, just being monitored as a precaution. He gushes he is tough like his mama. Abigail officially introduces him to his Uncle Chad. Chad loves the sound of that as well as the lad's new name. He updates her on the sorry state of Ben, encouraging her to forget the past and move forward. Then he announces he LOVES her, never stopped loving her, and always will! Abigail gazes at her hero as they each hold one of the baby's hands. If only they knew!
