There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... At the square, almost couple Aiden and Hope set up for the church food bank – an important cause. Chase and a pal appear as Chase complains about quitting the Christmas play so he would not have to play a donkey. Aiden ushers the guys back to the car carrying food. Theresa appears and calls Bo a thing of Hope’s past! In the world according to Theresa, Hope was right to move on, for he had no business taking off the way he did. Hope invites her to stay and help with the food bank but Theresa claims to be uneasy. She believes Hope must believe that she lied to Brady about being pregnant with his child. Hope explains she has heard nothing and sits her down to discuss. Theresa fibs she is relieved it was negative cos Brady is just a jerk. Hope perceives she is in emotional pain. Theresa suspects the family considers her a liar. Hope assures her that is not the case. Theresa laments the box said 99% but the hospital test showed otherwise. That is ancient history now. Aiden comes back with food and Theresa grabs an apple, calling herself the first customer. Then she goes. Aiden hopes she was being nice to his woooooman. Hope believes she was and smiles. At the hospital, Rafe is seeking Jordan. Board member Chad is kissing Jordan in a room. He acts sympathetic about Kate being in bed with Clyde. Rafe has just walked in and does a dramatic WHAT! Chad snaps this is a board discussion. Jordan explains Rafe needed a statement about an assault case. Chad eventually goes off to a meeting, his nose in the air. Jordan signs as requested but raging Rafe is not done yet. He wants to know what the heck is going on with Kate sleeping with Clyde?? He looks ready to explode when Jordan explains Kate is the one who summoned Clyde to Salem! But then she lashes out at Rafe for his past defense of the woman who hired a detective to dig up dirt only to bring the biggest bastard back to her and Ben’s lives. Any suffering caused by Clyde since then is on Kate’s hands! Rafe is at a loss. The frosty physical therapist excuses herself to work. Rafe decides to go right to the guilty one – KATE … Kate and Clyde breakfast at the pub. She coyly wonders what he wants to do with his hefty funds. Clyde enjoys his coffee and claims to have modest needs despite the success of his various businesses. He decides to make a donation to make Salem a better place for his keeeeds and Salemites in general. Kate observes him with her cat eyes. She coos how clever to make himself appear benevolent in a town he wants to do more business in. She herself has done it many times. Ring ring! Kate glances at her phone and smugly explains she must go. She thanks him seductively and waltzes out. Clyde grins. Ben is hurriedly getting ready at the new abode when Abi comes on by for their jog. She sexily stretches, The shirtless one grabs her in a hot kiss. After the lovin they pillow talk. Ben wants them to do all their athletics in bed today! Alas Abi has to go home and get ready for work. He gushes he has another coffee run at the hospital today and goes to shower, declaring all he ever thinks about these days is two things – coffee and HER. Abigail loves the attention ... Coffee carrying Paige gets a friendly hello from Jen at the club, who hopes she is meeting JJ here. Jen believes they can overcome. She assures her that JJ is his own man and Jack’s actions do not reflect on the son. Paige sweetly agrees. Jen insists JJ cares for her a great deal. Meanwhile JJ anxiously awaits his dream girl at the park, assuming no one knows their secret. But Eve does and greets him with a stern what’s up! She is not smiling and claims to be going for a walk, filled with regrets. And him? JJ tries to hide the fact that he is near panic. Eve gives him a look and asks if he is awaiting anyone. JJ sneakily sends a text and states he wishes he was done having to see Eve at all. She was the worst mistake of his life. She admits to being sleepless. They both betrayed Paige and she would be crushed! The only way to avoid hurting her is to steer clear of her. JJ suddenly decides he has to go and she coolly wishes him luck with his next exam. Eve now starts to send a text of her own … Paige informs Jen she is planning to study with Daphne. She gets JJ’s text not to come and Eve’s subsequent order to come home right away … JJ heads home to Jen as he is on a break between classes. Jen updates him on Eve’s text to Paige at the club. JJ immediately calls his girl, who is walking past the town square. He laments her mother might know! She behaved very strangely with him in the park and he now knows she texted Paige home, thanks to Jen. Paige promises to keep him posted. JJ sits down and tries not to panic … At the apartment, Eve is now conversing with Theresa, informing her that daddy Shane has to have tests at hospital for his stomach problems. But she has bigger fish to fry. She needs to save her daughter and needs Theresa to help! Theresa is all ears … When Paige gets home, Theresa is packing. Eve informs her startled daughter she has to go visit grandpa NOW … Jen sees how stressed JJ is at Horton house and wonders what he is hiding. He pretends to be worried about losing Paige and having to pass the therapy sessions. Jen tries to be upbeat. JJ is grim … Rich boy Chase complains about the food bank being boring. Aiden solemnly explains how important helping at the food bank is. Chase sighs he already knows the story of Aiden being poor and needing such a place to survive. This is news to Hope. When Chase and his friend walk off, Hope lets him know she overheard. Aiden suspects the not wanting to help is a generational thing. Hope admits she had no idea … He teases he was not only poor, he was a spelling bee superstar. She is impressed he went from humble beginnings to hotshot millionaire attorney. Aiden has no response and gets busy handing out food when customers arrive. Hope cannot help but admire his enthusiasm … After his hospital board meeting, Chad lets Abigail know the project for a certain community outreach was all but approved. Abigail points out it was Jordan’s idea, she just supported it. Chad acts impressed with Jordan and her modesty. They both smile. Baristo on the go Ben arrives and glares at the happy pair. He sets up the coffee supplies and Chad notes he is hard at work. Then he steps away. Abigail starts to say Chad’s news but Ben is busy. Before departing, he drawls they should go for another run. Abigail blushes. Jordan comes out for a coffee and Abigail immediately sees something is not right … Rafe has summoned Kate to a face-to-face at the dimly lit DiMera mansion and confronts the diva. I KNOW WHAT YOU DID TO JORDAN! He is appalled she brought creepy Clyde to Salem after she hired someone to snoop around Jordan’s past. The question is why? Kate explains she was protecting him as she was the one who hired her and therefore felt responsible. Rafe is now shocked for the second time on this day. Theresa plays along as Eve overreacts to Shane being hospitalized. She has to go see him for herself and Paige is booked for the flight too! Paige pouts. She slips out and calls JJ from the hallway. Her mom does not know they are sneaking around but is dragging her to California to see her grandfather. Eve comes out and makes her cut the "college"call short. JJ is on his way! Clyde pays Ben a visit at the club and concludes his coldness is cos Jordan told him about Kate bringing him to Salem. Belligerent Ben demands he explain himself, the real reason he lied! Kate emotionally reminds Rafe of the damage Bernardi did and how tenuous his predicament was. There was a clear and present danger and Kate feared a physical therapist could be on Stefano’s payroll. That was why she paid the hospital to allow her to bring in someone from the outside. Rafe now gets it. She hired … JORDAN! He scoffs. Abi excitedly informs Jordan of her community outreach idea being a hit and wonders why she did not tell Chad, since he does carry influence with the board. Jordan is in no mood to be teased and snaps Abigail clearly does not approve of her getting so close to Chad … Abigail implies he may not have changed. Jordan retorts she is wrong and haughtily clicks away with her club coffee. Rafe realizes Kate wrongly assumed Jordan was a man’s name. It would be funny if it were not so tragic … Kate claims she had a bad feeling about her. Rafe suspects she was jealous. Kate reasons her personal P.I. discovered there were holes in her past. Due to the timing, she assumed Stefano was at play. Rafe gets sarcastic. Kate cries she did not know what would happen. He wonders why she never came to him. Because she had no proof and did not want him to feel she was trying to win him back for herself. Rafe asks if that was the case… At the square, Aiden has a food package for a homeless woman who claims to know him! Hope has gone to track down his wayward son. She soon comes across Chase on a bench, complaining to his pal about his dad’s almost fanatic dedication to the food bank. It never ends. The pal points out he has been in his house and his dad must have been rich! Chase elaborates. The truth is his dad got all that money from his MOM, who died. Hope stands silently, having overheard ... Crafty Clyde claims to have been clueless about Kate’s angle, which was to protect Rafe. He understands when she realized Jordan was no threat, she was embarrassed and covered it up. However, her intentions were pure. Ben wonders why he bothers to defend her. Clyde confesses he is sweet on her. Ben warns him to proceed with caution. Kate is no gal from Poplar Bluff! Clyde gets to thinking … Kate wistfully assures Rafe she accepted they never had any commitment but she wanted to make sure Jordan … Rafe is enraged she pretended she thought Jordan was a threat but then threatened her and brought back Clyde, the biggest threat of all! He makes a snide remark about her hopping in bed with crooked Clyde. Kate cries she has work. Rafe rages so be it,he will go and stay away! If only he had done so sooner! Kate is crushed. JJ races to the apartment to rescue Paige. Theresa opens the door, snaps he missed her, and smugly shuts the door … Chase notices Hope and nervously asks her not to repeat what she overheard. He recounts how his mom used to say his dad did not have a dime before he married her … Meanwhile Aiden politely informs the homeless woman he is not acquainted with her. The food bank customer exclaims he may not know her, but she sure knows what he did and it was terrible! Aiden cringes … THE END! Ahead on DAYS: Kate’s day gets worse, courtesy of Stefano.
