When Finn steps away to accommodate champagne guzzling Ava with another glass, jealous Joey confronts her for ignoring him ... Suited Phillip congratulates diva Kate for another success. She slyly states to wait and see, for it is not for certain. Nothing is ... New designer Theresa is being interviewed by a reporter on the spot. Theresa credits Brady for her success. Brady praises her and points out she did all the work. They return backstage and she hands him a gift. Tis his name plaque as Titan CEO. She gushes she got it recently and intends to help him get back what he gave up all for her. She believes it is where he wants to be. Brady is touched but believes the timing is not right for him at Titan. Victor made his choice. Theresa suspects Brady will have to step in soon for Phillip is making a mess ... Kate has her brief say with the reporter and claims she was the brains behind the original Basic Black ... On the dance floor Dan speaks like a man who is happy from drinking but also a man who might be drunk in love. He kisses Nicole, tells her not to worry about Kate ruining things, and goes to call Parker as she makes the rounds ... At the hospital Jen is confused. Abigail admits she cheated on Ben with Chad and is now elated. It means her baby daddy is not a psycho killer. Jen suggests she tell Chad. Abigail leaves to do just that, for she will not let him turn his back on his own flesh and blood. Such is not the DiMera code ... At the club Chad and Belle are having their own private party with champagne. She laments Shawn wants a divorce so Chad plays the role of the sympathetic soul mate. Then he impulsively kisses her. Belle wonders ... Kate wonders what Phillip was doing with old news Belle and laughs upon learning the king and queen of the last blast are divorcing. She warns her son not to be Belle's next victim ... Ava sneakily reminds Joey they are not supposed to know one another the way they do. Finn returns with more champagne and tells the love struck lad his parents are looking for him. Joey approaches his folks and informs them he wants to stay for his friends are all going out after. Kayla asks him to be careful and heads out with Steve. They end up at the park in time to watch the stunning New Year's Eve fireworks and create more fireworks as they kiss in bliss ... Belle, who admitted she wanted to do something crazy fun for once, lets Chad talk her into taking their party to his room. Once they arrive, he kisses her, sees Abigail's face, and gets hot and heavy. Moments later shirtless Chad is kissing gasping Belle and getting her dress off ... All of a sudden Abigail bangs on the door and demands Chad open. This is URGENT. Abigail assumes the worst when Chad and his half buttoned shirt open the door to her. Belle puts her shoes on and waltzes out without a word. Abigail exclaims she is married and what was Chad doing! He scoffs she has a hell of a nerve and gives her a dark DiMera stare. Then he lashes out, lying he does not care - until she drops a dramatic bombshell no DiMera could ignore ... Theresa counts down to New Year's Eve and the couples kiss. Dan tells Nicole how much she means to him, kisses her, and gushes they are getting married in a month. Brady and Theresa kiss in bliss. Ava avoids kissing frisky Finn with a flirtatious hug. Joey stares at the scene, feeling increasingly obsessed. Ava's mind games are working on the young man ... Kate stands all alone, almost texts Ed, but thinks better of it and deletes her almost message. Her eyes are filled with sadness so she gets back to being the beech of business ... Steve and Kayla hold each other close and gaze up at the fireworks. He vows to never let her go. Kayla confesses she still loathes Ava and only agreed to forgive her so she would leave town. She claimed to be in Salem for redemption and now that she has it she had better stay away or else ... Joey waits for another chance to speak to the elusive Ava and gushes he wants her to see his new motorbike tomorrow. She blows off the teen but flirts with her eyes and body language ... The party starts to wind down. Dan steps away to take a call from Melanie. Nicole notices Eric drinking at the bar. He can hardly stand and slurs he is celebrating the end of 2015. She orders him a coffee and asks him to get the bartender to call a cab. She feels to blame for his state but must step away to take care of something. The bartender does call the cab but it takes too long. Too long for Dan especially ... Ava wonders whether Steve has spoken of her yet. Joey notes he has not and adds his parents already left. Ava hides her disappointment and reminds him their association cannot be known yet for the timing is not right ... Steve assures Kayla they will deal with Ava together if she poses any problem ... Kate arranges for Ms. Brown to do a brief interview with the three women who make Basic Black. She denies there is any tension and implies she got on board as a partner because of Theresa's designs ... Dan and Brady have gone ahead. The women folk will catch up as soon as possible to continue the celebration. Brady drives passenger Dan, who feels his life is perfect. Brady agrees to be his best man, then realizes he forgot Theresa's gift. He needs to turn around. Dan gushes to go get it for they have time to KILL ... Eric gets in his car and starts it, slurring the cab did not come for an hour ... Back at the venue, Nicole steps away to watch a video message from Dan, who gushes he heard the perfect song for their wedding and says how much he loves her. Kate cattily interrupts. Nicole curses her and throws down the glass of champagne she hands her ... Phillip catches up with woeful Belle at the town square. She admits she is not alright and takes his hand when he suggests they go home to watch the ball drop together ... Abigail announces OUR SON is sick! Chad soap stares. She dramatically declares that Ben is not the father of her baby but CHAD IS. Chad is stunned into silence as tears fill his bright blue eyes ... Intoxicated Eric is unable to focus on the road ahead and feels blinded by the lights. He listens to the loud rock music playing in his car ... Jen is driving alone in the Salem night. She is suddenly blinded by the lights of an oncoming car and frantically swerves, letting out a blood curdling scream. SOMEONE IS GOING TO DIE! THE END |
