GREETINGS and here is the last Days of Our Lives episode of 2014! At the mansion, Chad confesses to Jordan that he was quite a cad with Melanie and any other woman he obsessed over. Why he even beat up Nick and was then blackmailed into keeping Gabi's secret about what she had done. In his warped mind,he was protecting Mel though he really just wanted to CONTROL her. He sadly states he has since changed but will understand if Jordan walks out that door. Jordan, however, shuts the door and walks back toward him in her little black dress. She grabs him in a passionate kiss and they make love on the DiMera sofa ... At the ornate house of Kiriakis, glam Maggie goes to get her purse. She wants to take charming Mel shopping for the perfect dress. Mel spies Brady's picture and gets flushed as she flashes back to their star gazing moment the other night at the park. Enter the billionaire heir, having left the workplace when they brought out the champagne. Flustered Mel gets tongue tied and then talks a mile a minute. Brady is baffled and fears he may have displeased her. Mel tries to conceal her crush. She claims to be anxious about finding the perfect dress is all. Maggie returns and regrets she cannot shop after all as someone in need requires her visit. It is an AA matter. She departs and Brady declares he can take Mel shopping! He takes her hand and she pulls away, refusing. Brady does not understand. She continues to stammer and sputter, wishes him a Happy New Year and bolts. Besotted Brady is bewildered. Was it something he said ...? Serena opens her hotel room door looking sexy in Eric's old t-shirt and nothing else. He notices and she smiles. He bears a gift from Caroline to accompany her New Year's Eve official pub party invite - a homemade pie. Serena loves it and sits on the bed but Eric refuses to join her. He is a tad jumpy about the TEMPTATION. She teases he used to love temptation - sometimes twice in a row! Eric focuses on the flower Nicole left and then excuses himself,promising to pick her up later. Out in the hall, he overhears bellboy number one telling bellboy number two of the lady he let in the room, who then almost got him fired. He wishes he had not had to back up her story. The fallen father smells a story and asks the bellboy to tell him exactly what happened. He does, explaining the lady wanted to be left alone to write a note to accompany her orchid gift. Eric is incensed. He knows there was nothing innocent about Nicole wanting to be alone in Serena's room ... Nicole is a vision in white at the club. She is elated when Dan officially invites her to attend the mayor's fancy ball with him. And so a date is born. The doc promises to text her with the time he will pick her up later. Nicole notes her lonely New Year's Eves are now a thing of the past ... Eve and Jen are both at home, both listening to JJ and Paige on the phone. Paige wants answers. JJ agrees to meet her at the park, ends the call and takes off, insisting to Jen that it is no big deal that he decided to break up with Paige ... Meanwhile Eve wants her daughter to remember she warned her how unreliable young guys could be. Paige is not listening and storms off to save her relationship ...Jen storms out of the house too, suspecting Eve is to blame ... JJ arrives at the snowy park. Paige appears like a vision. She woefully wonders what happened to them. He is sorry he spoke to her so harshly. She throws herself into his arms,not realizing this is no reconciliation ... Nicole assures Dan she is really ready to move on from Eric. He assures her he trusts her ... Eve heads for the square for a drink. Mel picks up her fallen bag and the two exchange names. Mel voices her disdain for the dreadful woman who dared sue bff Abigail's mom ... At the hospital Jen can hardly focus on the flyers she is printing out. Maxine perceives she is perturbed and tells her to give hell to whoever upset her nice little self. Dan approaches and Jen blushes. He stammers he is seeing Nicole tonight and wanted her to know. She smiles not to wear the purple tie ... Eric bursts into the club and blasts Nicole for breaking into Serena's hotel room ... Maggie is back at the house of Kiriakis. Brady seeks her advice about a certain someone. He had the distinct impression that Mel ran away to avoid going shopping with him. Maggie is amused he would even think such a thing ... Dan's New Year's Eve plans are put in peril when Maxine informs him that a doctor called in sick. Dan would rather not commit to take the shift unless there is no other option. Maxine accepts that and asks him to check on a patient until then ... Eric does believe Nicole is innocent and rages at her to leave Serena alone, stay out of their lives! Once alone, Nicole mutters this must have been Mel's doing and storms over to Dan's place to give her hell ... Now done at work, Jen storms over to Eve's place to give her hell for breaking up JJ and Paige. Eve denies any wrongdoing ... Jen threatens to make her regret it if she is proven wrong ... Eric calls Serena, who is clad in a sexy red dress. She notices the stress in his voice. He warns her that Nicole broke into her room. Serena gets a strange look in her eye, crumples Nicole's note in her hand, and quietly wonders. She pretends someone is at her door and abruptly ends the call ... JJ exclaims he is not good enough for Paige so they can never be ... Mel opens Dan's door to Nicole, who yells at her for going behind her back to Dan. Mel denies it. Nicole snaps then how did Eric find out she got into Serena's room? Dan has just quietly entered and soap stares ... Tick Tock!
