There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Brady snuggles on the sofa with Theresa at their new home, watching a feel good chick flick. The trouble is Theresa gets even more depressed by the main character's success. She has a meltdown and Brady holds her in his manly arms ... Kate has designer Pierre on the job now instead of Theresa but models Paul and Gabi look like parrots in his painful designs. Kate refuses to listen to how they preferred Theresa and tells them to do their jobs. Then she turns away with Pierre. Nicole arrives, aghast, and orders the pair to get out of the clown clothes. Kate purrs thank you in French. Pierre purrs you are welcome also en francais and steps away. Nicole tells Kate they will tank with that one but they could have had a win! She warns if she is more beech than business she is going to pull the plug on the entire project ... At the Kiriakis mansion Victor does not approve of Phillip's long distance work call to Japan. Tis New Year's Eve! He orders his son to go out to the Basic Black launch and take a date ... Brady gives Theresa a pep talk and insists she attend as a partner. She cannot face the failure and cries on his shoulder ... Belle is sitting at the square with her papers. She ignores an incoming call from Chad, who is leaving her heartfelt messages from the mansion, under the watchful eye of Master Andre. Chad is about to give up. Andre uses the key word that puts Chad back in his trance. LA FAMILIA! Zombie Chad sits at the chess table, where Andre advises him not to give up. Chad numbly notes the queen is vulnerable. Andre the devil declares then he must try again ... Claire and Ciara are at the square speaking of what to wear for the big New Year's Eve Basic Black fashion launch. Belle spies Claire and wants a word. Ciara excuses herself. Claire gets cross upon hearing her father has filed divorced papers. She accuses her mother of not doing enough, snaps she is done, and storms off. Belle blinks. There stands Phillip in his long black coat. He thinks beautiful could use a friend and is sorry to hear of her impending divorce. He convinces her to be his date for the fashion show tonight and she tells him she will meet him here in an hour. Once alone Belle does take a call from Chad, smugly states she has a date for the fashion show, wants nothing to do with him, and ends the call. Chad the man in black decides he will steal her from her date. Andre grins about the legendary DiMera charm ... Steve settles on the sofa with a beer to watch the football game he recorded earlier in the day. Kayla enters and argues they should attend the Basic Black launch together. She wants to show off her new engagement ring. Steve convinces her to stay in with kisses and she giggles ... Phillip is back at the house of Kiriakis boasting he has a date tonight. Victor grins and advises him not to blow it like Brady. He seems to be looking for a mini Victor to run his empire. Phillip returns to his computer and global world of wheeling and dealing ... Jen has been summoned home to Horton house. She helps anxious young mom Abigail take Thomas to the hospital to err on the side of caution. He has not been eating and is extremely quiet ... At the hospital Dr. Dan is on the phone, looking forward to heading to the Basic Black big launch. All of a sudden Abigail enters with baby and Jen, begging for his help. He arranges for the best baby doctor to take care of the wee one and stays so as to keep the frightened family posted. Jen has a moment alone with the medicine man and woefully wonders whether Thomas has aplastic anemia, as Abigail did. Dan feels it is too premature to panic and gives Jen a reassuring hug . When Abigail returns, having left the baby with the doctor, Jen tells her what she told Dan and insists all would not be lost for she recovered after a bone marrow transplant. Abigail looks lost ... Nicole fires Pierre and his poorly spoken French with full pay. Grateful Gabi and Paul are now wearing the designs they liked by Theresa. Gabi admits she is nervous. Paul the pro who has faced huge audiences gives her some advice and suggests she think of Arianna. Gabi appreciates it and feels more at ease. Paul smiles. He always makes people feel better ... Kate is furious with Nicole. Nicole stands up to her and demands they do this as planned or else she is out ... Kayla is into the football game now with beer and munches and cheers at the touchdown. Steve surprises her by appearing in his best black duds He drawls he decided to go out and show off his baby. She teases no football, then agrees to party. She will need fifteen minutes to get ready and asks him to text Joey to forewarn him his folks will also be at the fashion show ... Meanwhile Ava has been staring at a baby picture all alone at the club. A suave young man with an accent approaches her table, flirts, and invites her to be his date for the fashion show, the Basic Black launch. She agrees after she texts Joey that she is going, a glint in her eye ... Brady and Theresa tenderly profess their love for one another and he praises her for believing in them. They get hot and heavy but Nicole interruptus! She overruled Kate, had seamstresses fix her fashion designs so Theresa is back IN. She orders her to get ready to come and take her bow. Brady is proud ... Victor is bemused when Belle appears on the Kiriakis doorstep demanding to see late Phillip. She blasts the blond for standing her up. He grovels so the ice princess agrees she will still be his date ... Dan bears good news. The baby does not have aplastic anemia. The next step is to study the DNA of both Thomas' biological parents. Abigail stares into space ... Back at DiMera mansion, Chad has just come across a fallen emerald earring belonging to the woman he loves. He flashes back to his harsh words with the fair Abigail and sadly sits back on the sofa ... But the paternal clock is ticking!
