ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. Link Only! PAST IMPERFECT! Monday, December 29, 2014 Episode 12,493 Beware of copycats. These are my words. There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Will is at his computer in the apartment, panicking over the lack of funds in both the accounts he and hubby Sonny share. The business and the personal accounts are empty. Sonny appears and Will gasps they have been hacked. Sonny admits he needed immediate funds to scramble and save the second club, so he had to use all the funds. Will cannot believe it … Paul attends his appointment with Dr. Dan. The free agent assumes he is ready to get back in the game but as it turns out, he is assuming too much … Abigail teases Ben for wanting to get her back from their jog to spend some time alone. One thing leads to another for the passionate pair … Shirtless Chad sits up and admires unsuspecting sleeping Jordan in bed. He flashes back to pleasing her with the expensive necklace he gave her for Christmas, then gets a message that pleases him even more. The anonymous letter that will ruin Rafe has been delivered … Rafe has been summoned to Commissioner Roman’s office. Roman shows him the anonymous letter and realizes he is not denying the accusation inside, nor is he acting like he is surprised. This can mean only one thing. He is GUILTY … Prisoner Gabi is greeted by Melanie, and she cannot conceal her surprise. Mel felt she just had to come. She has been thinking of that past secret they share … At the club, Kate compliments Clyde for his anonymous donation and is most amused when he admits he has ulterior motives. He wants Jordan to finds out HE was her charitable donator … and he wants Kate to somehow let it slip to the hospital board … Kate coos he should have been a politician and waltzes out. Crooked Clyde cackles what he does pays way better than politics … Jordan wakes up with stars in her eyes. She thanks Chad for making this the perfect Christmas as she remembers learning about the mysterious anonymous donation to her pet project charity … They kiss in bliss under the sheets … Mel softly states to Gabi that because she killed Nick, she was able to come back to Salem for good … Will is indignant about Sonny withdrawing all of their money. Sonny sits and proceeds to remind him of when he started contributing to the already large accounts he had amassed on his own … Dr. Dan discovers that Paul has been experiencing some pain during his physical therapy sessions. And then there is the MRI, which does not lie … Paul is anxious for his agent to get him into spring training with a team. The all-star has a 20 million dollar pitching arm … Ben and Abigail snuggle under the grey sheets. She asks whether he saw Jordan Christmas day. Ben sighs briefly and then he knows where she was going though she would not say … Jordan goes to shower. Chad the cad gets a thrill out of thinking of the trouble he has caused for Rafe … Dan drops a bombshell. Paul now has a regular arm and it will never be a super speed pitching arm ever again. No more fast balls ... Paul explodes. Baseball is all he’s got! Dan is sorry … Paul remembers the coach warning him not to overthrow the ball … but now it is too late. He is utterly destroyed, swears Dr. Dan to secrecy, and takes off … Will snaps at Sonny that now he does contribute to their accounts … Sonny gets defensive when Will notes he got lucky with the first club and questions Victor’s refusal to front him a loan, given the tycoon knows all. He then retracts that, conceding clubs are indeed Sonny’s expertise … Ben and Abi seem to agree that being a DiMera, Chad cannot be trusted and knows how to play an angle for his own agenda. Ben fears it could be too late for his sister, who has fallen under Chad’s spell … Roman is now aware that Rafe knew Gabi had hired the loon who abducted Mel, but withheld the information. He blasts him for not thinking and making things worse. Roman reasons that if Gabi had been stopped back then, she would not have fallen in deep with Nick and ended up in jail for killing him … Mel lets Gabi know she is not there to give her a hard time … But she had to come to see her … Gabi gets it and confirms she killed Nick and must now live with it … Mel understands what it was like to fall prey to Nick’s manipulations and muses she would have shot him too. Gabi sighs she wishes she could undo her past mistakes so no one would have to suffer anymore… Will and Sonny apologize for overreacting the way people do when money is at issue. Sonny suggests they get Ari ready for her visit with Gabi. Will explains he has an appointment so he cannot make this one. They should go without him. They both promise to fix this problem tonight. Will pauses outside the door and gets a determined look in his eye … Rafe realizes he must hand in his gun and badge and offers to cooperate with any internal investigation. Not good enough. Roman laments he broke the law and advises him to retain a lawyer. He is obliged to report this to the D.A. Rafe glumly goes on his way. He winds up at a pub table, where Dan finds his friend, anxious to discuss a case. Rafe woefully states he is not working on any more cases as of today … Abigail and Jordan are back at work at the hospital and wish each other a belated Merry Christmas. Abigail admires the expensive necklace she received from Chad … Gabi is grateful she and Mel have an understanding. Mel seems sorry to see her in prison. Gabi explains EJ got her the best possible deal, then notes it does not even feel like he is gone … Sonny arrives with Arianna and hands the child to her emotional mother. Gabi lives for these moments and hopes Mel will get to know her daughter as well. Mel gets emotional too, especially when the visit is cut short by the prison guard, who escorts the young prisoner back to her cell. Mel marvels at the girl’s strength. Sonny sighs it makes one feel small for not being able to resolve one’s problems on the outside … Paul heads back to his room and tries unsuccessfully to reach Sonny by phone. Will arrives and perceives his upset. He wonders what is the matter. Paul stammers their appointment had slipped his mind. Will wants to ask him a few questions about spring training and the team he might prefer to pitch for … Paul shouts to STOP! Will blinks in bewilderment … Abigail shares Ben’s view that Chad could have ulterior motives. Jordan the hopeful heart gushes her hero has been perfect. Abigail’s eyes flicker … Ben is back at work, where Clyde presents him with a heartfelt gift – his granddaddy’s watch, the same one he wore during the First World War. He urges his boy to wear it … Rafe confesses he is no longer on the police force and tells the tale of the anonymous letter. Dan sighs he is sorry. Rafe sighs he needs a good lawyer … Back at the DiMera study, Chad wants Kate to appreciate his latest corporate coup. Instead she flies at him and insults Jordan. He snaps he likes her so Kate had better hold her tongue. Kate scoffs she already ruined Rafe and HE is next … Abigail attempts to warn Jordan that Chad is a DiMera, a twister of the truth … Will apologizes as Paul turns away. Perhaps he should come back at a more convenient time. He starts to take his leave but Paul turns back around, his eyes reddened with tears, and begs him to WAIT. Will does just that … THE END Ahead on DAYS: John makes his move on Marlena! Paul makes his move ... on Sonny! |
