There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... At the club Eve tries to convince Claire the pretty songbird to join her music program cos she is putting together a youth band and wants her as the lovely lead singer. Claire the blonde heroine confesses she knows not how long she will be staying in Salem ... Belle arrives home and drops her Christmas gift to Shawn in the trash. The beautiful lawyer in the red dress would need some emotional rescue but all she has is her work ... At the house, Joey has a secret gift he wants to give. He pretends to be busy with his Christmas list. Steve in a Santa hat notes his mom wanted to shop alone so here he is. Then he asks him if he was in cahoots with Ava Vitali in spite of what he said. Joey lies he was not and acts indignant, for he has never even heard of the woman. Steve warns him she is like a deadly cobra one should steer clear of. Then he goes in the other room. Joey texts Ava, who asks him to come over when he requests a meeting. She changes into a sexy red zipper dress, ready for action. Joey arrives and demands the seductress tell him what she has been hiding cos his dad thinks she is DANGEROUS. He wonders what she did ... Kate proudly shows Nicole the future venue for the fashion event that will launch the great Basic Black collection to the world. Nicole notes the warehouse needs work. Kate, on the other hand, is a visionary. Theresa arrives late due to moments with Tate and Kate tells her off. She hisses she needs her corporate commitment cos she cannot be a full-time mom as well as fashionista. Theresa stands up to her and insists she knows her stuff. Kate refers to her own past and Theresa gets catty about knowing more about fashion. The furious females raise their voices. Kate slams Theresa for her sorry work history. Nicole notes Anne Milbauer might not have been the easiest person for Theresa to work for. Enter none other than Anne carrying glasses with a bottle of bubbly. She and Theresa drink up and cackle in unison. Kate wonders why she is even here. Theresa cackles she hired her. She adds she is an expert in HR, and they know Kate has been harassing Theresa. Kate wants her fired before she starts. No can do to the new director of re-branding and resources. Nicole would rather focus on the fashion launch. Kate suddenly and dramatically states Theresa's designs are a disaster. Theresa doubts that but cobra Kate lists models' complaints and insists they be pulled from the launch. Theresa looks worried now. Nicole wishes Kate would give her a chance. After all, someone along the way gave them a chance when they did not deserve it. Kate haughtily agrees she has until next week and waltzes out, accompanied by Nicole the kinder gentler partner. Theresa wonders whether she can do it. Annie gives her a pep talk and they drink more champagne. Theresa now slyly toasts to getting rid of Kate in the new year. It is rather ambitious but the minx has something up her almost designer sleeve ... Claire comes home humming a happy tune. Belle is working and snaps to stop, then apologizes ... Kayla comes home and Steve updates her on his warning to Joe about Ava ... Meanwhile Joe is demanding the truth from Ava. Sexy Ava lies about the flight his folks were on from Ireland that went down, where his grandfather died. She had been mentally ill, involved with amnesiac Steve earlier but insists she did not do it despite the accusations. She flirts until he believes her. Besotted Joe gives her her Christmas gift. Tis a necklace with a Cupid arrow cos she got his parents back together. She coos to help her put it on and then shows off her cleavage to the teen. She swears him to secrecy, gives him a wee kiss, and wickedly sends him on his way ... Belle believes Claire should go home to Maine, cos Shawn misses her. Claire counters she is giving up on their family and accuses her of wanting to get rid of her. The songbird storms back to the club and accepts Eve's offer to join her music program. Eve emotionally hands her a card. They will start in the new year ... Steve remains suspicious of Ava, but begins to wonder whether she might really just be after forgiveness. Kayla worries that he could get drawn back into her deceit. Steve reassures her and gets romantic with many kisses. She remembers the magic once upon a time. He drawls they still got it baby and puts his money where his mouth is ... Roman runs into Ava Vitali at the square and demands to know what da hell she is doin here. He will give her 5 minutes to explain before he carts her to jail! Ava explains she is facing federal charges and Roman has no jurisdiction. Besides she only has only 6 months left to live and is in town for forgiveness. Roman is not buying her sob story and warns her he will check it out. If she is lying he will lock her in jail ... Steve puts on his leather jacket and explains he has to leave to pick something up. Kayla gushes but he is her best Christmas gift. They kiss in bliss ... Emotional Eve starts to sing I'll Be Home for Christmas as Belle busily reads legal papers in front of the fireplace alone. Kayla pauses at the Christmas tree, remembering once upon a time when she and Steve professed their Christmas love for one another, their pledge to never give up. Back to romantic reality. She smiles a happy ending soap smile ... Ava the liar returns to her lair, where suspicious Steve is waiting. She acts surprised. He stares her down and demands the truth this time, no lies about her miserable life. Ava's eyes narrow like a snake ready to strike ... THE END!
