There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Salem Christmas planning is taking place. Dapper Doug and glam Julie stroll at the square with Maggie discussing the festivities. Tonight is Christmas Eve. Claire the singing star of the family is sitting nearby. They admire her ... Victor is home at his mansion, unhappily holding a picture of deceased son Bo. Caroline comes along and woefully watches. Then she has another vision of his heart attack and gasps. Victor sees her standing there and quips she almost gave him a heart attack. She wishes he would not say such things. He wonders about her visions. She insists they are on vacation. Roman soon arrives with a bag of Caroline's gifts for the family, which are to be left under the tree. They invite Victor to the festivities at the square, to hear Claire the star sing. Caroline convinces him to come with them and notes that is a nice photo of Bo he was looking at ... At the square coffee sipping Julie is stunned to learn coffee sipping Maggie is actually alright with Caroline now living under the same roof with her and Victor ... At the club, Ed overreacts when a shifty looking character approaches his daughter at her table. He starts to tell the guy to get lost but Gabi insists she needs this work contract, signs, and the courier scoffs and leaves. Gabi cannot believe how overly protective her newly returned papa is for the time to worry has long passed. So she thinks ... Eve and Justin are enjoying a breakfast date at the square cafe. Eve is excited about the music program she will be running in honor of Paige. They are quite an item. This is what Adrienne sees when she appears. Justin gets a call and steps away. He is just ending his call when he spies Adrienne solemnly on a call of her own. It concerns her test results so she walks to the park for privacy. She is told to come back to the lab to take a mammogram test again as there was a shadow. After the call, she looks worried. Justin has followed his ex and asks her what is the matter ... Ciara is at the house and senses Chase is hiding something from her. He admits he was in contact with Evan, who discovered a dramatic rumor. Ciara demands details. Chase admits it was about her mom getting arrested for murder, the cops keeping it quiet. Ciara freaks out and takes off to find out the truth. Chase takes off after her ... Rafe has been working on Hope's case all night at the station. She steps in and starts to look at what he has on his laptop. He closes it cos he cannot share information with her or they risk him getting suspended as well. Rafe is completely committed to clearing Hope's name. She tries unsuccessfully to get an update, then thanks him for being a friend. She totally trusts him ... Lucas arrives with Santa hats and costumes for himself and Adrienne. Justin was in the middle of asking Adrienne why she has to head to the hospital on Christmas eve ... Hope thinks Rafe should enjoy the holidays with his family and stop working. He thinks her family needs her too and they make a pact to go home and stop working. He grins she can come by and complain anytime though. Hope appreciates it. He vows to find the villain who shot Malcolm and set her up. She smiles and wishes him a Merry Christmas ... Lucas Clause and Adrienne Clause are wearing their costumes. He asks her what is the matter so she updates him on having to go for a second test tonight. He makes her feel better, believing it to be a machine issue and puts the smile back on her face. They share a cute Christmas kiss ... JJ joins Gabi at the club. Ed gives him a dark stare and demands to know who he is, what he does. He has no issue with JJ being at the police academy but points out he used to date Paige. He wants to know his intentions. Gabi jokes about his coffee intentions. The pair also plan to take Arianna to the sing-along at the square and invite Ed. He excuses himself and makes a call warning someone to stay far away from his family! Ed the former assassin is aware his refusal to off John Black might come back to bite him ... Lani and Rafe are hard at work at the station, tracing Malcolm's last movements via a number of burner phones. Abe interrupts with a detective badge for Lani. They are all proud of her promotion. Lani is elated ... Justin pays Hope a visit at her house. He is here unofficially and asks her to give him something so he can drop the charges. He suggests self-defense. Hope refuses to reveal anything and orders him out ... Meanwhile Ciara has stormed into Rafe's office, screaming to tell her it is not true that her mother was arrested for murder. Rafe laments he is not allowed to discuss an ongoing case and urges her to talk to her mom. Ciara is stressed since she did see Hope loading her gun. Rafe repeats to talk to her. Ciara takes off and Chase faithfully follows. Ciara races home to Hope and cries about what she knows, her fears she could lose her. Hope consoles her daughter and explains the bad guys who abducted her set her up but she was not the one who shot Malcolm. Mother and daughter hug. Hope attempts to soothe her fears and suggests she go to the square to be with the family for the Christmas Eve festivities. Ciara insists she accompany her and they exchange I love yous ... Rafe is somewhat surprised when intense Ed appears at his office, advising him to keep an eye on Gabi and Arianna. He alludes to having competitors. Rafe suspiciously wonders what he did and threatens to make him pay if he has done anything to endanger his family... Salemites start to convene at the square. Claire greets Gabi, Ari, and JJ. Eve excuses herself from Justin to inform Ed that she is looking forward to nurturing new talent in their music program in Paige's memory. Grateful Ed lets her know all will be set in the new year ... Roman arrives and informs Maggie, Julie, and Doug that he drove Victor and Caroline, who are presently at the park. Doug discreetly excuses himself. Julie gives Maggie a look. Maggie is clearly upset but will not discuss. She departs for the nearby park, where she spies Victor and Caroline together on a park bench. His vision questions remain unanswered. But she has just agreed to move into his mansion after the holidays. Victor gushes about his Christmas miracle and takes her hand. Caroline puts her head on his shoulder. Maggie soap stares. Then she greets the pair and takes her husband by the arm, all smiles ... Hope, Ciara and Chase join the family at the square. The sing-along starts with Toyland. Hope looks ready to cry as the lyrics make her remember the innocence, the old days that were lost when Bo died. Songbird Claire has her mini-solo and Eve is intrigued ... Back at the station, Rafe and Lani have made a shocking discovery. Malcolm's calls from Yucatan to Greece were soon replaced by calls to Salem. Rafe deduces that means the men who held Bo hostage could be in Salem as they speak ...! THE END! Ahead on Days of Our Lives: Steve has a dire warning for Joe. Belle wants Claire to go back to Maine. But Eve makes Claire an offer. Kate issues a threat and more ...! |
