There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Abigail's heart is heavy as she enters Horton house with mama Jen, whose heart is filled with joy over the perfect new baby. Abigail puts him in bed and laments Chad left her again. According to him it is cos he could not handle her having Ben's baby. Jen suspects there was more. Abi is too unhappy to think about it. For now anyway ... At the club, Belle questions Chad on his interest in her legal expertise, explaining she just graduated from law school. Chad reasons his case is clear cut. All of a sudden he gets dizzy. Belle notices. Strange images flash before his brainwashed blue eyes in a split second ... At the Kiriakis mansion it is a meeting of the minds when suited Justin meets up with suited cousin Phillip. Phillip quips Victor now has a D.A. in his pocket. Justin retorts he is in no one's pocket. Phillip boasts of his big plans. Justin senses his desire to go above the law like the old days and warns him he would come after him. Phillip is as arrogant as ever ... Ava the fainting felonista has been placed on the sofa. Steve is furious Kayla is actually falling for her act. He does not believe she has leukemia and opens the door when she comes to, kicking her out. Ava feels faint again so Kayla checks her out. She has low blood pressure and a slow pulse. Steve scowls when she suggests she needs the hospital. He has had enough of Ava Vitali's lies to last him ten lifetimes ... Victor runs into Brady at the hospital. Brady admits he came to resign his seat on the board. Without the Titan name he is a futile fundraiser. Maggie appears and has a heartfelt hug with him. Brady invites her for coffee and a chat but Victor counters he needs to talk to her. Once they are alone, he explains his position. He is concerned the elusive evil men who abducted Ciara will also come after Caroline, the only one who has been tested with the drug they are after. Therefore, he would like to move her into their home, for her own protection. The redhead pauses, then agrees that is the right thing to do. Victor thanks her and they share a sweet moment and kiss ... Brady runs into Caroline at the square. She has been doing her Christmas shopping. Brady would like to help her with her bags. His phone rings. Theresa reminds him to talk to Belle about investing with her money but Brady is busy with other matters at the moment. Caroline wanted to know how Victor was. Brady senses she was worried but she makes light of it ... Meanwhile at the townhouse Theresa now opens the door to one Phillip Kiriakis. There is no love lost between the two. She snaps she has heard of him. He says the same of her and arrogantly enters ... Belle sits at a table with Chad and gives him a bottle of water. He feels better and wants to get back to business. He even flirts to get her on board but Belle reminds him he is with Abigail. Chad corrects her. They are no longer together. He claims it is good for Stefano to be without all that money as he is a better man for it, one who will come to love his friends and family. He insists Belle represent him. Belle smiles she will look into whether he has a case but is making no promises ... Theresa is cold with the one who criticized Brady for the way he ran Titan. Phillip alludes to Brady's loss being the result of him choosing the gold digger over the family. She gets shrill and he becomes amused. The truth is he is here about Titan business with Brady. He notes Brady will never love someone like her anyway. Theresa gets angrier and snaps he has his nerve. Brady returns home. A frown creases his handsome brow. He demands to know what is going on in his home ... Unhappy Abigail excuses herself. She comes back only to hear brother JJ blasting Chad the jerk to Jen. She steps forward to defend the DiMera she still loves, stating he is not to blame for not being able to accept her baby with Ben. But hothead JJ blames him plenty and storms out ... Tate starts to cry so Theresa excuses herself to her son. Phillip informs Brady he came about work. Brady agrees to help him transition though he has no intention of helping him introduce the miracle drug on the market unless he is legit ... Victor finally finds Caroline at the square. He invites her to move into the Kiriakis mansion, where she will be well taken care of. He adds Maggie agreed as well. Caroline agrees to consider his offer and summons Roman ... Ava the liar is lying in a hospital bed. Kayla has ordered the necessary blood tests run to determine whether she does have leukemia. Suspicious Steve is certain the results will show her up for the lying felonista he knows and deeply despises. The nurse arrives to draw blood. Ava directs her to a certain vein. Steve and Kayla do not see this as they are discussing the sly Salem patient outside her door ... Benevolent Brady offers to show Phillip the correct and legal way to bring Victor's miracle drug to the market. Phillip gets testy. He tells him he was the one who walked away so now it is not his business to run. He saunters off. Theresa warns Brady that one is trouble ... At the square, Roman has his doubts when Caroline declares she is moving into Victor's house. The commissioner feels she would be better off staying with family but respects her decision ... As Belle leaves Chad, JJ races in like a raging bull. He blasts him for breaking his sister's heart at Christmas. Belle hears the exchange ... Ava's test results indicate she likely has leukemia. Kayla tells Steve, who reasons she will be even more dangerous to them if she feels she has nothing to lose. The Vitali threat is very real. Kayla knows it ... Roman pays Victor a visit at the Kiriakis mansion. He demands to know the real reason he asked his ma to move in. Victor updates him on the bad guys, the fact that he is still in contact with Dr. Salinas, whom he has stashed away for his own safety. Phillip is lurking around the corner listening ... Theresa is upset about Phillip saying Brady could never love her. Brady teases but he is still here and that speaks volumes. He now updates her on his Basic Black decision. He believes it would be best if they both stayed away from Belle's money. Theresa wonders whether his sister is in trouble ... Chad meets JJ's stare and states Abigail is better off without him. JJ agrees with that and storms off ... At Horton house, Abigail asks Jen to hold the baby. She then excuses herself for some much needed fresh air ... Kayla cautiously enters Ava's private room. The Salem patient lies she already tried treatments and has but a month to a year left to live her life. She intends to work to earn her forgiveness for the things she did in the past ... Brady airily explains Belle is only beginning her law practice and refuses to listen to anything more about it. In the worst case scenario Theresa could always try to get along with Kate. Theresa the future fashion designer fumes ... Belle is sitting at the club and starts to write notes on Chad's case, whether he even has one ... Chad enters the empty DiMera mansion and approaches the elegant chess set. He moves the black knight to take the white queen with a wicked grin ... Abigail is sitting all alone at the square hanging her head in sorrow. She flashes back to Chad's words of love, their tender moments, and tries not to weep. She stands up with a sigh and stares at a store window display, imagining Chad the cad in the suit at the front. Then she screams like a banshee, breaks the window with her cup, and takes off ... Steve confers with Kayla about Ava. They agree they will watch and await her next dangerous move. They know it is coming ... Ava is back in her hotel room. She smugly pulls the packet of now empty blood she had taped under fake skin on her forearm. Then she cackles it worked like a charm as deadly music plays in the background. It has begun! THE END!
