There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Bathrobe Kate has opened Clyde’s door to a disgusted dismayed Jordan. Clyde comes up behind his lady love, acting surprised to see Tammy Sue instead of room service. Jordan demands answers and is rude to Kate, who gives the pair some alone time. Clyde lectures Tammy Sue for rudeness toward his guest. Jordan snaps she is really just his ho! When she claims Clyyyyde is out of his league, he grabs her neck and mutters to watch it cos this time she ain’t got no gun! Kate listens to the drama from inside the room … At the club, Chad insults Ben and his "smaller package." Ben calls him a son of a … Enter the Greek tycoon, who drawls that DiMera is not worth the trouble. He turns down Chad’s offer of his fav coffee and demands a word alone! The Greek suspects Stefano changed him for the worse and he does him proud. Chad has no answer to that. Victor points out he did not attend Will and Sonny’s wedding. Chad implies unlike Victor, he did not try and undermine them ever. Victor knows he concealed his DiMera promotion from Sonny. He also suggests it would be best not to mix biz with friendship. He starts to make an offer on the south side location. Chad cuts him off and claims he and Sonny will survive, despite Victors’ old school attempt to make it appear otherwise. Then he walks away. Stressed Sonny is agitated about the slow contractor at the south side location and sits in the square all alone with a sigh, remembering … the kiss with Paul, then their past, how he told Sonny he loved him … Meanwhile at the hospital Abigail notices Adrienne noticing Paul the player with a nurse. Adrienne does not confirm she knows him. Abi asks about Justin. Adrienne sighs he is still out of town but he does love his job so she must accept this distance between them. They now discuss Abi’s reinstatement. Adrienne is surprised Chad was the one who made it happen. Abi flounces back to the office. Adrienne grimaces at the now closed door of Paul’s private room, where he has returned. She knows exactly who he is … Maggie discusses Mel with Dan as she prepares for the impromptu welcome home party, with freshly cut flowers, a lavish gift basket. They agree their girl is hiding something! The redhead talks impulse but Dan thinks he knows her motivation. It all comes back to Chad! Maggie is not so sure. Dan is convinced she could have fled Europe for the same reason she went there - to escape a man! Maggie muses she said she has a female friend who is moving to Salem, that is all. But Dan doubts she has been up front. He knows his daughter and knows when something feels off. Maggie gets worried. The foreign thug in the dark office has found Melaneeeeeee in a picture. He texts his client he will have something soon … At the park, someone touches Mel’s shoulder. She screams in fright and jumps up. Tis casual Brady, who is bewildered but sorry. They share a happy hug. Mel is mighty relieved the hand on her shoulder belonged to him. She confirms she is home for good though she enjoyed Europe, practicing much French in addition to a little Italiano. However, she was homesick. Brady suspiciously calls her decision sudden. Mel stands up and stammers a few excuses. Brady is not buying it. He calls her jumpy. She decides she would rather discuss the latest drama in HIS turbulent life. The billionaire heir swears he is fine. Mel heard all about evil Kristen and wishes she could punch her out. She also knows about him falling off the wagon. He assures her he has overcome. Mel makes mention of Theresa the enabler, the crazy Vegas wedding. She could deck her too! Apparently Victor has been talking. Brady would rather not discuss it. The mini redhead praises him for his resilience. Brady would rather change the subject. Mel decides to drag him to her welcome home party. She texts ahead and her chosen escort offers her his arm. As they walk through the town gate, arm in arm, she furtively glances around. At Dan’s place, Maggie, Victor and Dan await Mel for the gathering. The Greek is glum. Mel arrives with date Brady and the happy hugs follow. Even Victor cracks a smile. Mel gushes she is so glad to be home and a part of everything, especially Parker. She is home for real and for good! She admires the flowers and gift basket as Maggie embraces her. She now has everything she needs! The Frenchman in the dark office informs a raven haired woman that he can confirm Melanie Jonas is in Salem. She smirks she will take over from here … Jordan accuses Clyde of coming to town because of Kate. He does not deny it. She now rages at him for seeing Marlena the therapist to throw people off and orders him to head home to Polar Bluff. She refuses to allow him to ruin her yet again and takes off in a huff. Kate the cobra takes it all in. She can almost smell the blood … Jumpy Jordan is back at the hospital. Chad charmingly awaits, asking for an update on her talk with Ben. She admits she met with Ben and then Clyde … Kate watches Clyde sipping his drink and he hands her one of her own. He apologizes for the scene. Kate notes the girl was out to get him and praises his restraint. Clyde brings up their room service. Kate coos is he hungry? He is indeed and they proceed to passionately kiss … Sonny enters the club and asks T why Ben is so broody. T updates him on Chad vs, Ben, then Chad making Victor mad. Sonny has something on his mind and does not appear to be listening … until T reminds him of the hospital run. Sonny snaps Ben can do that. Adrienne has arrived and realizes sullen Sonny has seen Paul … Once T is alone at the counter, she approaches, asking him about the contract with the hospital. T explains it involves coffee orders. Sonny sent Ben to take care of it though he usually does it himself. Sonny emerges from his office and talks to his mother. He updates her on his irate call from Will. She is sorry she made Lucas call Will, which only seemed to provoke the pressured writer. Sonny acts like nothing else is new and avoids her gaze. She brings up seeing someone from his past, someone she saw that he failed to mention just now. Sonny stops. Abigail is with Paul, who has baseballs to autograph. He gives her one as a gift and she thanks him, hoping everything works out the way he wants it. Once she leaves, the forced smile fades from his face. Mel has been entertaining the small crowd with stories from Europe. Victor is about to tell a business Hong Kong story but Brady decides they still need to discuss that issue. Mel hugs them both. Victor is elated Mel is back making Maggie happy and says so. The he leaves to deal with that business matter with Brady. The redhead steps away to get takeout menus. Dan notes his daughter is distracted and asks who else she has met up with in Salem. Chad – to whom she reiterated their romance was over - and Abi, Ben, then Brady. Dan continues to probe, admitting he and Maggie have questions about her unplanned return. Maggie is now holding the takeout menus. Melanie stammers everything is fine, then blurts out there is something she was hiding from them … At the nurse’s station Karen the hilarious helper has her eye on baristo Ben. Abigail gushes that is her boyfriend. Karen cannot believe it. Abigail proves it with a kiss. Karen wishes the hot coffee guy had a brother … Miss Mel gasps she lost her lovely locket from Dan. It must be back at the big house so she intends to retrace her steps there. Maggie offers to help. Mel prefers to go solo and will return in 60 minutes. Maggie hands her a house key. After Mel departs, Dan’s feeling of dread seems to intensify … At the pub, Brady does not want to discuss the Hong Kong deal, he merely wants to tell Victor to stop gossiping about Theresa’s treachery. The Greek grimaces the whole world should be warned of her games. Brady loves his granddad but this stops right here right now! Victor realizes he would rather Mel not know anything more and agrees to make no mention of the bogus baby fiasco. Speaking of Mel, he wonders what really brought her to Salem, sensing a mystery … Abi presses the hospital elevator button and advises boyfriend Ben to avoid Chad. He kisses her, calls her beautiful, and leaves with a box as Karen woefully raises her eyes to the heavens. In spite of Jordan’s stressed state, Chad has a good laugh upon learning of Clyde and Kate’s affair. Jordan sits and assures herself Clyde will make a mistake and then the world will see what en evil man he is. Chad sits beside her and plays Galahad to her damsel in distress. He drawls he would do anything for her. Jordan is much moved and kisses him. He places a supportive arm around her trusting shoulders. Meanwhile Kate and Clyde eat treats under the sheets as he admits to curious Kate that his relationship with Tammy Sue has never been smooth. Kate asks about his future investment in Salem. Clyde thinks he may know an even better way to put that big money to use. Kate smiles, unaware that Clyde was involved in and covered up the murder of the father of her grandchildren. If she did know, she would probably scratch his eyes out … Sonny sarcastically asks Adrienne whom she saw at the hospital. Paul Norita, the Paul from his past! Meanwhile Paul is remembering precious moments with Sonny, the time Sonny told him he loved him. He blinks back to reality, on the verge of tears … Eerie music plays as Mel puts on her locket at the house of Kiriakis - the one she never lost. Her attention turns to her tablet … Dan has just received an email from Carly, who also is puzzled about Mel’s reason for returning to Salem. Maggie wants to believe she was homesick … Mel checks her tablet and realizes there has been no news of that matter so her fears have been unfounded. She breathes a sigh of relief … Back at the apartment, Dan gets a call from the raven haired woman with a grudge. She politely asks to speak to Melanie Jonas. Dan freezes …! THE END Ahead on DAYS: Mel freaks out about the phone call. Adrienne wants Sonny to do the right thing! Nicole simply must speak with Eric! |
