There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Abigail is aghast to find Mel with nekid Ben, who runs into the bathroom with his towel and clothes. Mel stammers she wanted to surprise her and the female friends hug. Abigail is amused as Mel admits how many men she has surprised in her life. Fully dressed Ben emerges, sorry. Mel thinks she should say sorry and can scarcely face him. He departs to let the pals talk. Abi hands him his phone and they share a brief kiss. Mel has missed her bff. Abi blushes a lot has been happening to her. She is glad her pal is back … Gabi’s name comes up in the conversation. Mel sighs she understands what it was like when Nick manipulated people. Abi adds Nick knew about her affair with EJ and was out to cause them trouble but that was then this is now. Mel proceeds to list who she has seen in Salem so far. Upon hearing Chad’s name, Abi forces a smile. She wants to know all about that encounter, especially interested in his reaction when Mel claimed to be over him. Abi goes on to confess Chad was cross with her for the EJ affair but then something happened. After EJ’s untimely demise, Chad did some good like getting her her old job back. Mel gets suspicious. Chad the cad always has an agenda … Abi notes Ben feels the same way. Mel decides she already likes Ben. Abi decides she is late for work. Mel giggles she has more Salemites on her surprise list and goes on her merry way … Kate stops kissing Clyde. She came not to kiss him but to make things clear. Clyde likens their courtship to a dance and moves in, footloose and fancy free. He kisses her passionately and she kisses him back. The dance moves to his luxurious bed … At the mansion, hoarse Jordan gasps to Chad she and Rafe are done, no doubt about it. Chad kisses her and gets her to the couch - until the phoenix calls. Chad curses. Jordan decides she must meet with her brother and goes. Chad is cordial with father, who growls this call is about Katarrrrina of course! Will is sitting at his California computer in a snazzy shirt, returning Marlena’s call despite the fact that he is desperate to meet a Hollywood deadline. She demands he make time for that which is important! Will wonders what is wrong. Marlena sits down at the Salem square and sympathizes over his swamped state. Still, what about Sonny, who has had no word from him for days? Will stammers the time difference is tough and keeps looking at his computer. Marlena lectures him for losing all contact with poor imprisoned Gabi, who has had no photo or update on her daughter. Will complains about the Hollywood pressure. Marlena is more concerned about glum Gabi, who is only staying alive in prison with news of her daughter. Will is sorry and promises to do his best. Click! At the hospital, Theresa tells Anne she knoooooows paramour Paul must be searching for her. Anne calls him a player. Theresa plans to prove their connection. Meanwhile Paul is passionately kissing Sonny, who pulls away and asks why he is here, his voice laden with hurt history. Paul gently points out he had his shoulder surgery and wants to kiss him again. Just then Anne and Theresa are heard calling out, trying to open the locked door. Paul places his hand against Sonny’s lips and slowly shakes his horrified head. Annie gets her master key. Paul gasps he simply cannot be found with him and hides in the closet, literally and figuratively. Sonny puts on his earphone and pretends not to have heard or noticed when Anne and Theresa ask why the door was locked. The two women exit and Sonny informs Paul he can come out of the closet. Paul does. Literally but NOT figuratively. Sonny already knows he will never come out and says so. Paul frowns. Not now please! Sonny glowers he seems to have Theresa under his spell. Paul starts for his room. Sonny bitterly berates him for not wanting anyone to dare think he is gay! Paul quietly invites him to come see him soon so they can talk. He now goes on his worried way. Sonny starts to say there is something he needs to know but alas the sad sports star has already slipped out ... At the club, Adrienne anxiously asks T whether Sonny has spoken to Will lately. Lucas appears behind her and wants to know that exact same thing! Not for days, that is all T knows. Adrienne complains to Lucas about Will’s non-communication. Lucas feels the same way about it. Adrienne insists the situation is sensitive and they could screw things up. She thinks someone needs to speak to Will to set him straight and nominates none other than Lucas! Stefano declares he has been digging around and Kate’s new foolish flame is a country crook. There are also too many coincidences too many connections. He warns if Jordan learns Chad is merely using her … Chad drawls she will not and promises to be in touch soon. Then he hangs up and stares into space … Jordan summons Ben to the park and updates him on Kate brazenly bringing Clyde to town and then some. Meanwhile back in his room, Clyde has his way with the lonely widow - or is it the other way around?! Will has just finished writing an email to Gabi with photos of Ari when he gets a call from Lucas he does not take. Lucas tries again. Back in California Will types away. He finally takes the call and snaps is this an emergency? He lies he is in a meeting. Lucas righteously reminds him he was a no show in Santa Monica and points out his Salem hubby has not heard from him for three whole days. Will impatiently sighs he will do something about that … Lucas later assures Adrienne Will is going to call. Adrienne does not totally blame Will for the silence. Sonny was the one who suggested he take that California job. If only her own husband was around! She excuses herself to go meet Kayla. Once alone, Lucas grumbles and wishes Will would start reconnecting with his loved ones … Patient Paul gets back to his room, where Tigress Theresa awaits, wanting to continue what they started. She shuts the blinds and he stammers his agent called. This could take hours. Theresa sits and slyly states she will wait. She kisses him again … Clyde admires Kate, who was worth the wait … Mel pops up at the club and Sonny smiles in surprise. Big hug! Marlena pleasantly stops Chad outside the pub. She just spoke with Sami and heard how much Johnny loves the stuffed frog from his Uncle Chad. The lad misses him. Chad wishes he could get down but his plate presently runneth over with work. Marlena is aware he is the new co-CEO at DiMera and gives him a knowing look, questioning how HE is doing, never mind the promotion. Chad’s bright blue eyes flicker ... Ben suggests Clyde being in Salem is not necessarily a bad thing and he might be trying to change. Jordan is exasperated! Meanwhile, back in bed, Kate smirks about Jordan’s dire warning – that she would regret summoning him to Salem. If she could see them now! Clyde coos he wants to see her tonight and tomorrow and every day after. They get back to their bed action ... Paul frantically tries to reach for the buzzer. He stops kissing Theresa and teases she could be bad for his bottom line. She gets he has to talk to the agent and leaves with a seductive smile, promising to come back soon. Paul leans back in bed with a woeful sigh. In addition to admitting to meeting nekid Ben to a tantalized T, Mel seeks an update from Sonny on Will and baby Ari. She had been hoping to see them! Sonny quips so was he but these days the studio calls the shots. T and Mel discuss Abigail and Ben’s hot and heavy relationship. Sonny suddenly flashes back to the kiss with Paul and admits he has much on his mind about … things that should have been dealt with today! Mel assumes he means work and charmingly decides to depart. Sonny soap stares at a photo of Will and Ari on his phone. Still no word from Will, though … In the staff coffee room, Theresa tells Annie all about her Japanese sports star. Anne is elated for her friend, especially cos having such a friend would sock it to her Horton enemies. Abi appears and taunts the witches about what they must be brewing now. Theresa lets out a laugh. Anne snorts. Chad stares right back at Marlena and claims to be great. She reminds him he took a bullet for his brother who was recently killed, hence her concern. Chad bitterly adds not to forget he slept with his girlfriend and cordially claims it was nice to see her. Then he walks away. Marlena is more convinced than ever that something is not right with the new heir apparent … Clyde admires his Katie girl in bed. He praises her looks, her smarts, her killer instincts. They could be one hell of a team! Meanwhile Jordan reminds Ben that Clyde is a master manipulator. Ben believes he is trying to change and explains he even has a therapist now, Marlena. Jordan gasps what a bastard and storms off before he can stop her ... Anne arrogantly puts her coffee in the trash. Abigail likes the coffee. Theresa taunts her about her barista boy. Abigail quips the coffee is not what is bitter around here … Adrienne stops and stares at a nurse falling for Paul’s straight flirting routine. She knows better … Sonny stands alone in the square, remembering once upon a passionate time with Paul. He sighs it was a lifetime ago … Will calls and wants to know what he is doing. Sonny is surprised. Will sarcastically suggests he must be counting down how many days have gone by. He is in a foul mood about family - Marlena and Lucas – bothering him. He is feeling the pressure of finishing the final script, which is due in five days! And the studio calls every hour, Ring ring! Sonny tells him to take the call... Will tells him to let everyone know they spoke and ends the call … Mel sits all by her lonesome at the park and opens her purse, which is stuffed with money. She takes out her phone and glances over her shoulder. Elsewhere a seedy character in a dark office is studying a recent surveillance photograph of her and gets a text. Found her yet??? … At the club T teases Ben about Mel’s unique surprise. Chad appears, wanting to know more. T talks full monty. Chad refers to Ben as the economy package. Ben turns around, ready to blow … Jordan bangs on Clyde’s hotel door, demanding he open up! Kate slowly opens the door, wearing Clyde’s bathrobe and a wicked grin … THE END!
