There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Theresa is pushing her baby at the town square when Kate stops her. The glam one is not amused she did not answer her emails and orders her to prepare the marketing media and profiles for the New Year fashion launch. She then waltzes off. Theresa is miffed she made no mention of her designs. Then she heads home to Brady, who has just directed a caller to CEO Phillip cos he is no longer with Titan. Theresa tells him how happy she is for his new freedom and directs the deliverymen who have brought the Christmas tree ... Chad is under siege, strapped to a table, with a strange apparatus on his head. Andre is feeding images from his computer to his brain of many things including the animal kingdom, aggression, and Belle. It seems to mix with his real memories. Andre condescendingly claims brotha must put the family first and let Belle into his heart not Abigail. A tear trickles down Chad's cheek ... Steve arrives at the house with a poinsettia to add to the ones his sweetness had placed. Joey and Kayla wait with bated breath as he looks around their happy home. He is elated to be back and the family hold hands. He teases a Christmas tree is missing. Kayla gushes they were waiting for him. He kisses his sweetness and Joey steps away to send a text ... Ava meets a man at the park. He hands her the bag, she hands him the money, and reminds him they never met. She returns to her room, and reads Joey's text about Steve moving back in. Her expression goes from enraged to excited about the evil that is coming their way ... Ed is not pleased when his former boss lady Miriam hounds him about his mission. He is clutching his coffee at the club. He reminds her he is done with the life. She points out she gave him the profile of John Black. Kate arrives and the intros are made. Miriam acts like she used to be involved with Ed and excuses herself after cooing she is here on biz and hopes things work well for them. Kate is cross about the ex crawling out of the woodwork and wants to know whether they had children. Ed answers in the negative and gets tight lipped after telling her he is done with the woman. His eyes intense, he alludes to Kate rethinking getting close to him and walks out. Kate senses he is hiding something, having been around the block herself ... John rushes into the office of the woman he loves, exclaiming DOC! She slowly wakes up and he tenderly tends to her, asking what happened. She sighs she was in a session. He comes across the chloroform and finds out the patient just happened to be Chad DiMera. Their first reaction is to assume the DiMeras created a distraction with the session. Marlena fears they were after information about Sami. John gets her a glass of water and urges her to not to try and confront the DiMeras. They need to know more first. He now gets an intense call from Eduardo, who solemnly states he must meet him to update him. John replies it is a bad time. Ed snaps to make time ... Belle pays Brady a visit to inform him she is mulling over donating all of Sami's stolen money to charity. Brady assures her he will support her. Theresa listens in the background. After Belle has left, Theresa gushes she overheard. She suggests Belle could buy out Kate and Brady could be his sister's partner! Brady is intrigued and agrees to consider her idea. When Nicole arrives for their meeting, Theresa is about to tell her but Brady stops her. He then leaves for a jog. Nicole had no idea he was gone from Titan. She wants to get down to business with Theresa and starts to call Kate but Theresa urges her not to ... Steve and Kayla are with son Joey searching for the perfect Christmas tree. He continues to text Ava, believing she wants his folks together as much as he does ... Steve takes a tree home and the family decorate it together. Then Joey leaves, as Ave has slyly suggested, to give his parents some alone time. Steve makes the most of the moment and kisses his sweetness. He decides to pick up some wine and cheese from the store for a romantic picnic. Kayla's fair cheeks are flushed with joy ... Theresa trash talks Kate for giving her a hard time. Nicole can relate. Theresa broaches the subject of an unnamed silent partner who might be able to buy her out. Nicole is tempted but the timing is not right. She reasons they have too much to manage with the launch and adds she likes Theresa's designs before departing. Theresa picks up her sketches and gets a glint in her eye ... Stefano confronts Andre for turning his son into a fool with his brainwashing. Andre insists it is the only way to recoup the family fortune and gets back to work. Eventually Chad agrees to do as ordered in a monotone voice. His eyes are blank. Andre returns him to his hotel room and smiles to have a rest so he will be ready to romance Belle when he wakes up. Chad finds a heartfelt note from Abigail, who thanked him for being her hero and the love of her life. Andre looks ready to explode until Chad crumples said note and drops it. The he lies down on the bed and closes his eyes. Andre picks up the note with relief and returns to the mansion ... Chad is restless on the bed and is in a strange state somewhere between being awake and asleep. He tries to fight as images that were fed into his brain flash through his head ... Meanwhile Andre insists to disapproving Stefano at the mansion that Chad is the only way they will be able to get back the family fortune ... Belle ends a legal call, only to come to face with Kate at the square. The ice princess holds her head high and asks Kate how things are at Basic Black. Kate's cat eyes narrow ... John ends a loving concerned call with doc as Ed arrives at the small park by the town gate. Ed gets straight to the point. His investigation into his murky past has set off alarm bells and there are those who would want him dead. John suspiciously asks how he knows this. Ed dramatically declares HE was the one ordered to kill him! Ava is aware from clueless Joey's updates that his parents are at the house. She pops a pill and studies her made up face in the mirror. The dark circles under her eyes look as real as her hatred for Steve and Kayla. She heads for the house and waits for Steve to depart. Then she knocks at the door. Kayla opens it and stares in horror at the sight that greets her. Ava says hello and smiles but she looks like DEATH! THE END! Ahead on Days of Our Lives: Chad tells Abigail they are through! Ed tells John more about his mysterious past. Ave begins her big lie. Rafe steps up for Ciara and Hope. |
