There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Belle is sitting with Marlena at the festive town square but feels less than festive. She is not sure how Claire will feel when her plane lands later today, given her parents' separation. She asks about Sami. Marlena sighs there is no trace, as per all of John's ISA resources. However, it gives her cause to hope that even the DiMeras will never find her underground daughter or their money. Belle soap stares. Meanwhile at DiMera mansion, Stefano is in a snit over selling stock under its value for pennies. Andre gushes they will get their money back. The key is Belle. He intends to get Chad to romance the money right back. He smiles a sly smile and pours his elegant self a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. Stefano scowls ... Abigail is smiling as Chad wakes up beside her in bed. She thanks him for making her feel safe. He suggests a repeat tonight and she agrees, then updates him on her call with a nurse at the hospital. Thomas slept well and she is ready to see him. Chad is ready to see Marlena for another hypnosis session. He seeks to get back all his memories. They kiss and leave together ... Rafe is at the station, troubled when he reads the ballistics report Lani hands him. He calls Hope again to come to the station. Hope will be there soon. She has just summoned Jen to the house, solemnly stating she must attend to something at the station. She knows not when she can return. It concerns an old case. She hugs Jen and departs. Moments later Ciara comes downstairs seeking her mom. Jen assures her she will be back in a bit after she deals with an old case. Ciara is worried, even more so when Jen the bad cook offers to make pancakes a la Maggie. Chase eventually emerges and finds out Jen is making pancakes. He and Ciara plan to head to the square to decorate the Christmas tree later. He apologizes to his friend for trying to kiss her. She accepts his apology and admits it was strange since he feels like a brother. Eerie music plays and Chase gets a strange look in his eye. Ciara explains she needs her bff now more than ever and admits something awful happened to her ... Lovebirds Chad and Abi arrive at the hospital together. The nurse credits the woman who delivered the baby with saving him and states he is doing well in his incubator. Abi gets anxious about Wendy the murdered midwife. Chad tenderly tells her he will arrange to help her family. Abigail feels better and goes to see Thomas. Chad makes for Marlena's office. He arrives as Belle leaves. Marlena agrees to continue his hypno sessions in about an hour, after her next consult. Chad thanks her and texts Abigail an update. Abigail is now rocking baby Thomas, who gurgles with enthusiasm when she gushes Chad is going to be with them from now on ... Chad returns to DiMera mansion to pick up a few belongings. Andre and Stefano are waiting. Andre coos he can help regain the family fortune. Chad claims he is busy with Abigail. Andre wants him to be busy romancing the Belle, who will lead them to the money Samantha stole. Chad scoffs NO and suggests Andre fix his own mess. Then he walks out. Stefano grimaces. Andre gets another idea in his seedy sinister head ... Hope meets with Detective Rafe at the station, insisting she did not shoot Malcolm. Rafe is torn and urges her to tell him where she was then. Hope remembers saving Ciara but remains tight lipped. Rafe laments the report says HER gun shot and murdered Malcolm. Hope insists she is innocent but knows Rafe must do his job. She suggests he do this by the book as Internal Affairs will be watching. Rafe unhappily reads Hope her rights and steps out to confer with Roman. He laments to the cross commissioner that Hope has been set up and he senses it is BIG ... Hope makes her one phone call to Belle, whom she immediately enlists as her attorney ... Back at the house, Ciara tells Chase of her kidnapping ordeal and swears him to secrecy. Chase is sympathetic and places his hand on hers. Ciara looks somewhat spooked. Jen announces the pancakes are ready ... Things are fluid and fast at the station. Belle had no time to prepare before Hope's arraignment but arranged for her to make bail. She ends a call with D.A. Justin and assures her client that this will all be under the radar. Hope is relieved for Ciara's sake. But Belle warns her the news could still leak as these things sometimes do. Rafe informs Hope he is glad she made bail and stares at her with his soulful eyes ... In the hospital nursery Abigail the new mom rocks baby Thomas in her arms and gushes the three of them will be together and safe from now on - Thomas, his mommy, and Chad. Thomas gurgles with glee upon hearing Chad's name. Abigail smiles a sweet smile ... Chad is ready for his moment of truth with Marlena. The stunning one sweetly suggests they make this an ongoing mission until all his missing memories have returned. Chad closes his eyes with trust and does as Salem's top psychologist tells him. He takes a deeeeeeep breath and relaxes. His most recent morning is remembered. Marlena is ready to return to the more distant past to unlock more. But someone sneaks into her dark office and silences her with chloroform! Tis none other than Andre the terrible, who is taking charge of the situation. Marlena loses consciousness without a single sound. Chad's eyes are still closed and he is still in his hypnotic trance. Andre inserts a needle into his neck, causing him to lose consciousness as well ... Hope and Belle return to the house to strategize. Jen awaits and informs Hope that Ciara seemed stressed before she left with Chase. She senses a secret and warns Hope of JJ's deep descent into bad decisions after he lost his father. Hope thanks Jen for helping and sees her to the door. Belle sits with her client. Hope shares some of her story but not all. She only tells how she tangled one fateful night with Dr. Malcolm, who admitted he had been Bo's torturer. That is when her gun was taken from her ... Ciara and Chase are doing their community service, decorating to lavish town square Christmas tree. Theo arrives and Ciara ignores Chase, excitedly showing her childhood friend all the ornaments. Chase watches as eerie music plays. It is the same kind of music that was heard when Aiden began his descent into evil. Chase walks off without a word. Theo suddenly gets an anonymous blocked text taunting him as a RETARD. Ciara sees his agitation and grabs the phone, furious about the harassment. Theo snaps he does not need her help but Bo Brady's daughter is not taking no for an answer. As of now she is on the case ... Back at the station, Roman and Rafe discuss Hope's predicament. Roman believes lawyer Belle needs to get all details from Hope to keep her out of prison. Bo would not want his Fancyface jailed! Rafe is intense. Roman drawls he needs to know what da hell is goin on here! ... Back at the house, Belle concludes the real killer must be found to clear her client. Hope assures her that Victor has his resources and she will continue to investigate. Belle disagrees. Hope, however, refuses to stand by the sidelines. That has never been her style ... Jen joins Abigail and baby Thomas at the hospital. She admires the bundle of joy and announces the love will never go away. Abigail gushes about Chad being there for them and Jen becomes strangely silent ... Back in the dark office, Andre now has a look at the ipad notes of Salem's finest therapist. He coos about the perfection of his plan thus far. He has something big in store for Chad. Let the mind games begin! THE END! Ahead on Days of Our Lives: Kayla runs into evil Ava Vitali!
