There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... The Salem P.D. Station is a flurry of activity. Fellow cop Lani notices dedicated Detective Rafe staring at a composite. He sighs this suspect is the sinister one who is responsible for torturing Bo but they have no solid proof even though he is in Salem! Lani gives him a pep talk about getting his man. They got the real necktie killer after all. Rafe credits her for her cops skills on that one but Lani is modest as ever. Rafe now leaves Hope anther urgent message. He has a bad feeling ... At the warehouse where her daughter is being held against her will, Hope hears a voice on the loudspeaker. She is desperate to get her daughter freed. The voice offers to make a deal. She offers the money. The voice demands more, meaning the secret of the miracle serum Bo was involved with. If not her daughter dies! Hope demands to see her. She is shown her image on the television monitor and a figure in black removes her mask. The girl cries out for her mother. That is all Hope is given. She is even more frantic and agrees to tell all she knows in exchange for the life of the daughter she loves so much ... Brady and Belle catch up at the festive town square. She smiles about Paul the new brother and they sit at a table as Christmas music plays in the background. She admits Shawn is back in Maine. Brady is sorry for their separation, then suggests she spill why she keeps glancing over her shoulder. Belle sighs it all started with Sami. Brady senses a Sami scheme and that spells trouble ... At the Kiriakis mansion, workaholic Phillip is studying numbers and is not impressed with the financials of Titan. This is what he tells Victor. Victor muses his enthusiasm is much appreciated. Phillip insists they take action with the miracle drug that cured Caroline. Victor refuses as research would need to be done and the FDA ... Phillip feels they should take a shortcut. Victor refuses and heads to bed, though he appreciates his enthusiasm. In his view, the company is in good shape. Phillip returns to his laptop and frantically figures out what he can do regardless. He wants to make his mark ... The voice demands the name of the doctor and the location of his lab. Hope speaks the full name of Salinas and states she knows not the location of his lab. The TV monitor showing Ciara goes dead. Hope screams and pleads in desperation for her daughter to be spared as promised. A door opens and Ciara is roughly shoved toward her mother. As they emotionally embrace, the masked man walks away with his money, removing his mask in the shadows ... Kate is a vision in blue as she embraces Phillip her son at the Kiriakis mansion. He suggests she is a softy. She suggests he knows about her killer instinct which he too inherited, and wonders whether he is going to use it while overseeing the Titan organization. Phillip intends to and explains Brady was too soft and dad is tired. He, however, intends to take the Titan empire to new heights of glory. Kate reminds him they are now competitors since Titan stated a fashion line. The blond ambition laughs he has little interest in fashion. In fact, Phillip feels he has more important fish to fry. After seeing his mother out, he calls a contact for information off the record that would involve fast tracking pharmaceuticals without needing FDA approval. He cares not he would be going against Victor's orders ... Mother and daughter head home. Hope and Ciara cry together at the house and hug. Ciara wants to know who did this. Hope admits someone very bad, who brought down Bo, and swears her to secrecy. She sighs she spilled Salinas' name and swears she will do what she must in order to protect her daughter. Ciara is soon sleeping like a baby on the sofa. Moments later, Victor the great and powerful arrives, leaving his men outside. The Greek has been summoned. Hope updates him on the situation and he assures her he has a hiding place for Salinas. He offers her anything she needs and notes they can help each other in their quest for justice. Hope appreciates the support and departs to take care of business. Victor respects her need for privacy and looks down at his sleeping granddaughter, driven by his strong sense of family ... Hope is now on the move in the Salem night and she is packing heat ... Belle tells brother Brady the tale of Sami taking the DiMera liquid assets totaling 500 million dollars, half of which she deposited into an offshore account in HER name. Brady believes that is tantamount to a death wish. Belle has not yet decided what to do. Brady lets her know he will keep her secret. She sighs about Andre snooping around. She suspects he is using her to get to Sami, who went underground with the kids and her half of the cash after following EJ's instructions to the letter. Brady believes EJ is no more than a ghost anymore and urges his sister to seek assistance from John and Marlena. They are both painfully aware of the DiMera code ... Belle becomes even more frazzled upon hearing that Phillip her ex is back in Salem. She suspects he has had dozens of lady friends since their divorce ... Brady now returns to the beautifully decorated townhouse, amazed how fast Theresa set things up. He hears Tate crying in the other room and goes to him ... Phillip is shooting hoops alone outside, reminding himself the greater the risk the greater the reward. Belle shows up with a ball in her arms and a slight smile for the handsome high roller. The pair seductively soap stare ... Rafe calls the Marton B and B, asking about Dr. Malcolm. The clerk notes he is not there, having already checked out, but someone else also called asking after him. A woman ... Dr. Malcolm is at the dark park, promising his superior on the phone that nothing will lead back to them. He is about to leave town. All of a sudden a gun appears from the bushes. A single shot is fired and Malcolm falls to the ground, stone cold DEAD ... Rafe is about to leave the station when he gets a call about someone getting killed at the park. He heads to the scene of the crime with Lani. Rafe identifies the victim as Dr. Malcolm, the man in his composite. Lani asks if he knows who wanted him dead. Rafe woefully whispers Hope's name ... Hope has silently returned home. She kisses her sleeping daughter and places her gun back in its hiding place ... The doorbell rings. Tis Rafe but Hope is in no mood to see a friend now. He solemnly states then he will see her as a cop and grills her about her whereabouts in these last two hours ... THE END! Ahead on Days of Our Lives: Chad and Abigail feel love. Belle and Phillip's old feelings run deep. Theresa has an idea. Gabi and JJ embark on a date. |
