There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Steve makes his proposal of marriage even more romantic by saying it in romance languages. Italian, French, Spanish. Steve is on a roll! Alas Kayla has no reaction. He warns baby his Bulgarian is bad so do not make him go there. Kayla is rendered speechless. He makes a heartfelt plea and promises this time would be forever. He needs her in order to be complete. Kayla declares he does deserve an answer ... Dr. Malcolm is on the move. However, outside his door he is stopped by a sinister goon who greets him, growling he is wanted. Malcolm nervously notes he is busy. But the goon is not going to take no for an answer ... In the hotel room, Kayla slowly and sincerely lets Steve know his proposal was premature, sweet but too soon. This time she is in it for the long run and therefore wants to wait. Steve is relieved he is still in the running and gives sweetness another passionate kiss ... Ava Vitali stares at the wicked woman in the mirror. She takes some makeup out of her case and tells herself she is ready. She sounds more than a little bit dangerous ... Rafe stops Hope, who was about to leave the house with the money for Dr. Malcolm. The banker left without a word to him. Rafe is suspicious of Hope's scheme. He urges her to hear his plea that she has lost her perspective. Hope is enraged. She refuses to listen so he humors her and makes his way toward the conspicuous case on the couch. Before Hope can stop him it opens and the cash comes tumbling out ... Chad sees Abigail having trouble standing at the square and sweeps her over to the pub for a much needed milkshake, She needs her strength back. She laments she has to head to Ben's place for her and Thomas' remaining things. It is going to be tough. Chad offers to do it for her. She would rather face the music. He tenderly touches her hand and talks moving on. She beats herself up over not seeing Ben for who he really was but adds there was something good that came from this. Chad was her HERO just as she dreamed while in captivity and she will never forget it. She gets emotional about always loving Chad even while with Ben, then rushes out crying. Chad rushes after her ... Joe interrupts his parents' passion by knocking loudly on the door. A family reunion ensues with the announcement that Steve is moving back home with them tomorrow. Kayla goes to get dressed for work. Patch puts his arm around his son and asks for his partner's name cos he knows he could not have pulled off that reconciliation plan on his own ... Ava coughs while putting on her makeup and tells her deathly looking self she is fine. She seems to have more than one person living in her crazed crowded head ... Joey lies no one helped him, he acted alone. Steve plays along, but gets serious about his son messing with drugs the way he did ... Chad follows Abigail all the way to the dark park. They sit on a bench and he gives her a pep talk. She blames herself for not seeing that Ben was a natural born killer and wishes she had saved his victims. He, however, believes no one is to blame for Ben. He was going to snap. Abigail had assumed he snapped since he sensed she still loved Chad. He insists Ben was already insane and alludes to his Clyde connection. Chad now suggests she focus on the future with her son and adds he is here too if she wants him. Forever. He never stopped loving her and never will. Abigail breaks down and cries on his shoulder, whispering his name. Chad holds the girl he loves close ... Hope hisses at Rafe, who wants to be her friend. She acts like she cares not about breaking the rules and grabs her money case back. He warns her her downward spiral will affect others like Ciara. Hope stops at the door and considers ... Chad emotionally holds Abigail and lets her know she will never be alone again. So he can help her go to Ben's apartment for her things or pick up said things for her. Abigail feels stronger and credits Chad for that. She now feels empowered enough to face Ben's apartment alone. It is something she feels she must do. She never stopped loving Chad either. He gazes warmly after her as she walks away with a smile ... Hope asks Rafe what about Ciara. He exclaims she called him cos she was worried and Hope is all she has now! Her daughter needs her! Hope gets choked up and places her hand on her heart for she loves her daughter. She also knows she wants justice for Bo as well. Rafe questions whether she is after justice or vengeance. Hope storms out and screams not to follow. Rafe storms right after her ... Steve waves a fatherly finger at his son for taking drugs to pass out and fake a medical emergency. He is grounded for a month starting now. Joey is glad his folks are back on track though a tad glum about the grounding part. Kayla emerges in a black outfit and Steve plants another one on her. Joe gets going. Kayla is about to leave for a consult when Steve slyly suggests a romantic getaway weekend. She teases she would rather he keep being so romantic to get her to say yes and will see him at home. Steve admires her vanishing from view and whips out his harmonica to celebrate. I'M COMIN HOME SWEETNESS he soulfully sings ... Unbeknownst to our happy hero, Ava Vitali is in Salem on a mission. She has posted a recent photo of Steve with Kayla outside on her mirror on the wall. She prepares to make herself up and mutters she can do this yes she can ... Rafe returns to the station. The detective hangs his head in defeat. Officer Lani wonders what happened. He laments his ex partner gave him the slip ... Hope gets to the abandoned building where she arranged to meet Dr. Malcolm. She calls out his name, clutching the case of money, and steps inside a room. There is no Malcolm anywhere. All that greets her is the image on a television screen with a live feed. Tis Ciara, bound to a chair, whimpering is anyone there? Hope is utterly horrified! The bad guys have her daughter and here she is with no back up ... THE END!
