There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Spiffy Lucas has returned from a Houston trip, where Cheryl apparently asked him to say hello to Jordan and Rafe. When Lucas informs Jordan of this at the square, she updates him on the doom and gloom that was once her and Rafe’s romance. They carry their coffees at the café and Lucas offers his heartfelt sympathy. She just thinks it is too late. He wonders what happened and hopes it is not connected to EJ and Sami’s latest breakup. Negative. They split after he slept with Kate again! A frown ceases Lucas’ brow. Initially he is in denial that they did it again. Jordan laments they even confessed. Lucas gets flustered and then gets to thinking. Ben finds Rafe at the park, wanting to apologize for his bad boy behavior. Rafe drawls no need for a damn apology, cos he would have done the same for his sister. Ben confesses his terrible temper was out of control. He needs to keep it in check. Cowboy Rafe has a question … about papa Clyde. He suspects there is something he needs to know. Ben replies it will not help him win back Jordan. Rafe notes every time he mentions his name, jumpy Jordan closes him off. Ben drawls she does not wanna get hurt again and departs. Rafe considers. Calculating Clyde is cordial with Kate at the town gate, where deals are made. He has summoned her for a business matter. He thinks she is the one to point him in the proper direction to set up his biz here in Salem. She politely asks what kind of business. Clyde is elusive about the carry over. He requests referrals to help with the hiring … The corporate cat makes no definite promise. Her assistant will be in touch. Clyde stops her from departing and drawls he wants to deal with her direct! Kate pulls her purse away and stands up, pointing out she is not in personnel. He grins he needs to get connected with some discreet pros, like the ones around Stefano DiMera, her infamous ex. He is certain she is no stranger to such hires. Kate now demands to know what he really wants. The kind of men who can manage a crew for ... distribution. Kate starts to sweat. He grins she does seem to understand. At the apartment, Sonny slams Will for the changes to his article. Will notes the notes were not that extreme. Sonny accuses him of selling his soul! Will now has a long look at the published article bearing his name. Sonny wishes he had stopped him. Will is mortified that Abi’s name was included in the new version. Sonny is appalled Will never even approved this final draft. Will insists he never shared Abigail’s name, then realizes what happened, Sami spilled the beans about the mystery woman’s name! Sonny is now sorry he assumed he was involved. Will shouts how could he assume the worst of him! Abigail of angst shows Jen and JJ the article that outs her as EJ’s affair. Jen is horrified. Abigail cries Will even called her about it so he is indeed the author. Jen rages about Will attacking the ones he supposedly loves. Abigail panics about Anne Milbauer and what to do. Jen assures her they will handle it. JJ takes off like a bat out of hell. Jen assures her downtrodden daughter this fight is not over yet! She calls the hospital to find out how far this has gone. They could have a few hours to strategize. Abi gasps she is sorry. Jen insists she has nothing to be sorry for since she was not the one who wrote the sordid story … At the mansion, Sami smugly sees the article online. She talks to her satisfied self, preferring to be Hilary, not Monica. Enter the EJ. WOT have you done! Pause. He has spoken with Shin, who called. The big board member is pleased they are happily wed and working well together. He smiles sarcastically. Sami explains it is only for show. EJ thinks her story went above and beyond and gets closer. He seductively suggests they stop trying to make things only look good. He seeks one more chance. Sami’s breath quickens with his nearness and she quips at least she is not throwing things. He calls it a start. She scoffs. EJ now gets a text about the True Vista scandalous story. He realizes Sami was secretly reading it when he came in and demands to know who wrote it! The title and picture say plenty! Sami snatches away her tablet. EJ wants to know WOT the hell. Is she responsible for this? No but she took action … EJ fears she tried to bribe the publisher, then deduces she had no intention of ever telling him! It makes him all the more suspicious. Sami insists EJ could not have stopped it any more than her. She did what he would have. She called the board and stock holders to do damage control, calling it silly slander against the corporate changes. EJ now gets why Shin has an interest in their marriage and why she misled him. She averted a disaster. How it disappoints him that she did not give him enough consideration to forewarn him! She airily claims she was busy. EJ cannot shake a bad feeling about the contents of the story and snatches the tablet back. Make no mistake, if any detail is wrong, he intends to sue! He now exclaims her son WILLIAM HORTON actually wrote this! Sami cannot deny it. Sonny points out Abi sleeping with EJ was the truth and the article was about the truth. Will snaps he would not have done such a thing! Sonny questions him on whether the editor asked. Will gets upset. All of a sudden JJ jumps in to confront Will. He calls him a s.o.b. What did his sister ever do to him! Sonny defends Will as he now knows he did not include his sister’s name. Will states he tried to protect Abigail with anonymity but JJ rages he wrote she worked at the hospital and was close to the DiMera children. How FREAKIN hard could it have been to figure it out! Will explains friends and family were already aware of the fling. JJ reminds him of Theresa the terrible and anti-Horton Anne and accuses him of exposing his sister to the whole wicked world! Lucas meets Rafe at the pub and gasps what was he thinking! Rafe sighs in remorse. Lucas advises him to do damage control. Rafe laments it is too late. Lucas thinks it is never too late. He should fight for his love … Jordan shows Ben Abigail’s pal page on her phone as she walks through the square. Ben takes off like a bat out of hell … Kate wants Clyde to back off. Clyde threatens to expose her to Rafe for digging up dirt on Jordan in Poplar Bluff. On the other hand, if she obliges, he will keep his silence. Kate understands only too well the language of blackmail and agrees to be in touch with those referrals. He drawls they might do great things together. Kate forces a smile and takes her leave … Clyde now catches up with pretty Jordan at the town square and creepily calls her darling. She wants him to go away. He wishes she were not so hateful. He deserves it! He suggests she and Ollie talk to someone with him. There is a female shrink at the hospital. Jordan recoils in horror. Clyde continues to taunt her and adds he would be willing to air the family dirty laundry to put the past in the past. Jordan gasps she will never forget and scurries off, now an emotional wreck. Kate sits with Lucas at the pub, pleased his business trip to Houston was a success. Lucas frowns. She smiles and asks about Cheryl. Lucas grimaces she hates him still and questions Kate on her corporate coup, then blasts her for branching out to brazenly break up Rafe and Jordan. He remembers only too well that she ruins any relationship he ever has! JJ blasts Will for writing such things about his mother too. It SUCKS! Exit JJ. Will seems to wonder whether he went too far. Jen finds out from Maxine on the phone that the big news has not yet reached the sleepy Salem hospital. Abigail gasps but it is on her pal page! Knock knock! Enter big Ben, who assures Abigail he is here for her. He cannot believe Will would do such a thing! Jen spies a paparazzo with a reporter outside and sends Ben and Abigail out the kitchen door. She urges Ben to duck out with her daughter via the alley. Ben agrees. Abigail grabs her purse and they escape together. Jen now braces herself to answer the knocking at the front door. EJ has read the story and gets glib about this side of William. Sami reasons it was his big break. EJ thunders this did much damage and POOR … Sami hisses yes, poor little Abigail! Kate calmly sips her cocktail and claims she did not break up Rafe and Jordan. Lucas doubts that. Kate insists things were not that great between them. That was why he got drunk. Lucas remembers the night and accuses her of taking advantage. She should leave those two alone! He believes they do not want to give up on what they had … At the town square, Rafe and Jordan’s eyes lock like the end of an old movie. The happily ever after kind ... Ben walks Abigail through the park and offers his place. She sighs not now not like this. She is ashamed. He is sympathetic. Abi is even more worried about the effect of all this on her mother and brother. Back at Horton house, Jen is hounded by the reporter with rude questions about Abigail possibly being pregnant. JJ arrives and takes charge. Does he want to keep his teeth! He kicks him off their private property and the Horton front door is closed. Jen and JJ discuss the sticky situation. Will is unhappy with editor Zoe on the phone about his story fallout, then gasps he gets it and ends the call. Sonny gets sarcastic about his inaction. Will notes she did apologize. Besides she is the boss. She was busy with a family emergency and could not call to forewarn him. Sonny gets even more sarcastic. Will insists it was her call to include the name after Sami revealed it. Sonny concludes they are both sorry about the matter. Will thanks him for not mentioning to JJ that Sami was the one who outed Abi. Sonny assures him they will overcome. He gives him a quick kiss. Will stays behind and intends to shut out the world for a while. Sonny leaves for the club. So he says … Sami dares EJ to speak the name she knows he wanted to speak! EJ declares this is damaging to them all. Sami snarls he wanted to feel sorry for poor slutty Abi first. EJ stands up and thunders he is concerned about all of them, including her! And this was all the doing of her son! Sami screams to go to his slut. She has a restraining order! With that, she throws a breakable after him and it shatters. EJ sighs and walks out the front door, his destination unknown ... Abi sits on a park bench with a sigh. Ben marvels at her strength, the fact that she does not run. She marvels he does not run from her melodramatic life. He is going nowhere and they kiss in bliss. He adds she is amazing and he is lucky to be around her. He now invites her to stroll with him to a secluded spot with a pond, where he would love to stargaze with her. Perhaps by the time they get back the pesky press will be gone from her house. Abigail is compelled to kiss him again. … Back at Horton house, JJ reminds his mother at least no one is facing jail and they are a tough clan. They will survive ... Romeo Rafe takes a bold step toward Jordan, who steps away. His eyes mirror his deep regret ... At the pub, Kate cackles Lucas needs to pay more attention to his son’s life instead of hers and tells him of the story in True Vista .. Back at the mansion, Sami is leaving a frantic voice message. Enter unexpected visitor Sonny, who snaps she really did a number on her son this time! ... At the apartment, Will is hoping for a visit from Abigail when irate EJ arrives instead. Will states he has nothing to say. EJ steps in regardless and snaps that is tough, his eyes filled with fury ...! THE END Ahead on Days of Our Lives: Theresa could be in terrible trouble!
