There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Sami has just sold a piece from the DiMera collection and gets off the phone. She puts the painting down as Johnny jumps in, excited about the new roller coaster at the amusement park. He wants to go today with mommy and daddy! He begs and Sami sighs. EJ stands in the doorway and smiles warmly at his small son. He drawls mother has an international company to run. Sami insists she still has time for family and tickles Johnny, who giggles, not suspecting a thing, not sensing her hostility towards daddy. The boy shows mommy a photo snapped the last time they went. They were all screaming but mommy and daddy were kissing. Maybe this time mommy and daddy will scream too. EJ is still smiling. Sami gets flustered Johnny flashes a toothy grin. Sami starts to get suspicious … At the apartment, Sonny tells Will what he wrote is a WOW. He is definitely impressed. Will wonders. Sonny has high praise for his talent and kisses him tenderly. They now kiss on the couch, both pleasantly surprised the baby has not interrupted. Will buttons the top of his shirt and gasps editor Zoe is on her way! He stands up and hopes Sonny was sincere about what he said, that he liked the article, not that he felt pressured as they are married. Was what he wrote really ok? Detective Hope is busy at the station going over files, noticing EJ’s strangely sloppy accountant’s work. How could it be? She comes across an old gala announcement and flashes back to the waltz with Aiden, then his news of a date with Jennifer. There is no rhyme or reason to it. So she puts on her glasses and gets back to work. At the hospital, telephone Jen is talking to the now unemployed telephone Abigail, who is having no luck in her job search. After the call, nurse Maxine admits she has a bad feeling about Daniel! Jen stares without blinking. Maxine laments Dr. Dan was missing at his conference. He has been only texting, even to Parker. Jen finds that highly suspicious. However, she and Dan are no longer together so she tells the nervous nurse to call Maggie. Jen finally decides to call Dan herself. But first there is a call with Hope. Jen wishes to talk to her about something. It sounds serious. Hope will be waiting at the station and gets rid of the gala announcement. Dan is on the truck to Salem with Kristen, who has just learned the first scheduled stop is Salem, by the Salem P.D.! She tosses aside her ropes and spies a box cutter on the floor. Then she declares the time has come to make a deal! Dan does not perceive the box cutter and acts disinterested in any deal with the she devil. Dangerous music plays. Kristen glances again at the box cutter almost within her reach and starts to argue about her absence being the best for Brady. He should not see her! Dan argues she abducted him to get to Brady! She explains she did not have a return to Salem in mind and strongly suggests he let her go. The medicine man mocks her efforts. He is handing her over to the cops to face the music! She gets sarcastic about his plan to play the hero and rubs some of her blood on his shirt with her wrists. She accuses him of blowing things with Jen the way she did with Brady as well. Marlena sees Eric at the park, happy he is home from Rome. His Vatican victory has her elated and she embraces her priest son. Eric is not sure how to break the news. He finally confesses he no longer has the heart to be a holy man. She assumes it is due to his love for Nicole. He denies loving Nicole and notes he should leave Salem, given his reputation thanks to Kristen. Mama Marlena insists Kristen will be seen as the evil one. She urges him not to let the she devil ruin his life, the way she did to Brady and John! Eric assures her Kristen is his past. He decided not to remain a priest for one reason alone. Because he HATES Nicole! Nicole is still in her black dress when she visits Brady’s home to vent about the Vatican disaster. Brady assumes Kristen the bitch won again. Nicole updates him on the cardinal ruling in favor of Eric. She cries everything went wrong and throws herself into his arms. They sit and discuss. Nicole blames herself. Brady argues she did her best. She gasps it was not enough. Brady can relate. Nicole asks after John. He drawls due to the deep coma, he might never open his eyes again. Their relationship as father and son could be gone forever! Nicole notes Theresa called it self-defense. Brady laments John was acting out of love for him all this time. It is too late for both of them to make things up with Eric and John. Nicole suggests a walk. He sighs he would rather sit with his da. Alone. He slowly walks away. Sonny begins a discreet discussion with Will. He suggests the article Will wrote does read like a best seller Will gushes thanks. Sonny now adds as the details are personal, it could hurt his mom. Will retorts she has hurt others more! This is all true and he was careful to protect Abigail by not mentioning her by name. She is referred to only as the young woman. Worldly Sonny does not think it will be so simple. Will explains his editor is on her way over with a contract as they speak. He plans to sign. Sonny has some advice for Will before he signs but someone knocks at the door before he has a chance to finish. Tis not the editor, but Abigail, who smiles sweetly and asks how things are. Will looks at Sonny, whose eyes widen. His expression seems to say WE’RE SUNK as he holds the article that Will wrote. The girl in the white top has dropped by to see her goddaughter. Will explains Sonny was about to take her for a walk and adds he has work. Sonny invites Abigail to come along and goes to get the baby. Abigail is curious about what Will is holding, what he just wrote. She would love to sneak a peek … Jen meets Hope at the station and shares her sorrow about Sami’s revenge against unemployed Abigail. Hope does not comprehend. Jen sighs Abi had an affair with EJ. Hope is horrified, also about Sami’s revenge. She will speak with her. The two women now talk John and Hope adds she is concerned about Brady, who has been partying with Theresa the terrible. This was all the doing of Kristen. It could not get any worse! And there is also Jen’s lawsuit. Jen praises Aiden for his assistance as her attorney. Hope pleasantly points out they have a date tonight. She calls her cousin a free agent. Jen wonders whether she minds her hanging around Aiden. Sami promises Johnny she will try to get them all to ride the roller coaster together. Johnny bounces off to tell the siblings. Sami accuses EJ of using the children to sway her! He starts to respond, then notices the prized painting she has out of the vault. She snaps she sold it. EJ is shocked she brazenly sold one from fatha’s collection for a mere half million. Sami gets back to work on her computer. EJ gets close and notes he noticed her reaction to their previous park pictures. They enjoyed the rides together … She snaps then he rode Abi Devereaux and that changed anything. EJ shuts the doors and argues Kate has gotten to her, by trashing him and thwarting his attempts at a reconciliation. He knows their love is strong and they have overcome worse. He implores her to give him a chance. Sami types on, then sighs it seems he is never giving up. He insists he can have a new speech every day. Sami hisses she intends to do something about that. She goes on her angry way to get a restraining order from the police against him! EJ blinks, now standing alone. Dan the man walks past the box cutter and rages he was the one who ended things with Jen so there! He adds dear Kristen is going to have to see in person what she did to Brady the boozer. She fake cries and crouches over, begging him not to make her, inching closer and closer to the sharp object. Dan refuses to change his mind, then announces they have arrived in Salem. Kristen grabs the box cutter and holds it to his neck, screaming like a banshee. Dan fights her off. He throws her to the ground and thunders she tried to slit his throat! The time has come to tie her up and hand her over to the cops! The truck stops suddenly and Dan is covered in big boxes. Kristen is ready to make her great escape! Eric cannot stay in Salem with such hatred in his heart! Marlena suggests he could be feeling something much more … Eric stares. Marlena turns. There stands Nicole! She is sorry about John. Marlena thanks her and frostily adds this is a private discussion. Nicole wants to say something and places her purse on the opposite bench. Eric gasps there is nothing to say. All of a sudden, a jogger darts by and snatches the purse! Eric jumps up in hot pursuit! Within minutes, Nicole has her purse back and Marlena is consulting with a cop about the purse snatcher. Nicole gushes in gratitude. The cop asks them all to come to the station for statements. Eric ignores Nicole and leaves with Marlena. Nicole gets a sad look in her eye and follows. Will puts his work away and explains he does not have the final draft. Abigail can relate. One wants one’s work to be perfect. Will wonders about her job hunt. The work reference is an issue, thanks to Sami. Will is sympathetic and bitterly blames his mom for that and more. Sonny emerges with the baby and stroller and Abigail opens the door. There stands Zoe the editor, who is seeking Will Horton the writer. Will nods, honored to be referred to as a writer. If only he knew Sonny had set up the job via Victor … Sonny ushers Abigail and the stroller out in a hurry. Will has the article ready for Zoe. It contains the whole sordid story of what really went down with Sami and EJ! Zoe the shark is ready to ride the wave … Brady gets to the hospital, hopeful for a visit with John. Maxine explains he will be in for his latest MRI for an hour. Brady decides he can wait. Maxine urges him to go home and get some much needed sleep instead … Sami is at the station to ask Hope for help with her restraining order against EJ, after she hurls a few insults at Jen … *** Kristen stand up in the stopped truck but Dan grabs her leg and she falls down with a cry … *** Sonny and Abigail sit at the town square. She complains about the chaos caused by her affair with EJ, then sighs it is probably best it is out in the open. Sonny states but she lost her job. She adds at least only her friends and family are aware of the affair so she will survive. Sonny sadly shakes his head … *** Zoe has read the beginning and the bang of the article. Will promises it is all true. She gushes it is good enough to make the cover cos it concerns the DiMeras. She welcomes Will to the feeding frenzy … *** Sami and Hope are interrupted when Marlena, Eric and Nicole arrive at the station with the cop and the purse snatching perp. Sami hugs her twin and asks about the Vatican visit. They are interrupted by EJ, who is not giving up on Samantha. Hope advises him to step away. Sami snaps not to touch her. Hope is informed of an unusual incident at the Salem Inn … *** In his big bed at home, shirtless Brady tosses, turns, sweats, and wakes up with a start. His eyes fill with dread … *** A cop enters the station with cuffed Kristen DiMera in the flesh and triumphant Dan. Hope gasps OH MY GOD. The gang stop, turn and stare in unison. Kristen plays it cool and meets their stare with DiMera-esque defiance ...! THE END AHEAD ON DAYS OF OUR LIVES: Brady gets the big news. Kristen tries to gain the upper hand. Sami blames Nicole for Eric’s predicament. |
