There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Jen agrees with Aiden at the pub and they shake on being friends. She is about to go when he invites her on a DATE! Jen smiles in surprise. A date?! He chuckles about his approach, then clumsily claims he is after friendship as well as the DATE. Jen gasps what? He happens to have two tickets to a funny play and invites Jen to join him. He jokes he will even go off the clock. Alas the legal humor is lost on Jen, who teases she sees exactly what he is trying to do. She suspects he is trying to make it appear to the socialites from the glam gala that this attorney is taken! Jen decides she sure could use a nice night out and will text him soon. Then she flounces out of the establishment. Aiden grins. Hope has treats for Dr. Kayla from New Orleans. Marlena will get a box too and Hope asks how things are. She suspects Kayla does not want John’s loved ones to ignore the painful truth. Kayla has no answer. Hope sighs John always used to bounce back. Kayla knows it, then asks about Ciara. Hope notes she loved New Orleans and remembered when Bo was there with her. Kayla now asks how things are going with ... Aiden. Hope freezes. She has feelings for no man but BO! Their love is alive, in her mind. Kayla states she must have misunderstood what she told her before. Hope hastily excuses herself. Kayla sighs. Marlena finds a bottle of perfume among her many bottles and remembers as she stares dreamily and tragically into the mirror of her powder room. She flashes back to shirtless John and a strawberries with cream moment in bed. Such was their passion. She shuts her eyes, opens them, and places the bottle of perfume in her purse ... Paige insists she stays in Salem! One year anyway. JJ tries to talk her out of it. Too late, she already notified Stanford Admissions. JJ is elated and twirls her around in the happiest hug. She wants to celebrate. He excitedly leads her out the door, where they run into Adrienne, who does not appear to share their enthusiasm. JJ explains mom is not home yet. Paige must take care of something, kisses JJ, and will catch up soon. JJ closes the door and Adrienne anxiously asks about Abigail. Sami has been horrendous and times are tough for the family, also with Eve’s lawsuit. JJ agrees that woman is a piece of work. Adrienne now questions the wisdom of dating her daughter! JJ, his hands on his hips, will not listen to anything negative about the girl of his dreams. She is awesome and nothing like her mischief making mama! Adrienne marvels how he has grown up. Jack would be proud, he is just like him. JJ glances at Jack’s photo and thanks her, though he still finds it hard to handle some of his father’s history. Adrienne agrees he was complex. She is here to talk about it … JJ excuses himself. Adrienne stays and waits for Jen. Eve wants to be Brady’s new friend as she flirts at close range in the hospital. Theresa storms up and demands to know what is going on! Brady is baffled. Eve acts innocent. Brady informs Eve he is busy but does want to see Theresa soon. She coyly says sure and possessively takes his arm. Brady will text her after work and the billionaire bows out. But not before Eve boasts to him what a wonderul listener she can be! Theresa the hellcat hisses at her half-sis for moving in on her territory. Eve talks annulment. Theresa brags Brady seems not to care about the annulment anymore. Eve thinks she is only fooling herself and they take it to the club. Eve and her drinking sister continue to debate Brady. Eve explains Theresa is a reminder of what happened to his daddy so unless she helps John wake up, there is no hope! Of course, if John wakes up there might be even less hope! She is convinced Theresa is culpable of something from that fateful night and advises her to lie low, away from Brady and his circle. They could spell trouble and she needs her sister to donate blood for her. Theresa remains jealous. Eve innocently insists she was being friendly with him is all. The storyline banshee in the background sings aaaaaaaaaa as Eve sneakily sips her wine. She once more advises her sis to be smart enough to avoid him. Theresa leaves in a huff and assures her perky little self that the billionaire heir is still HERS. On the bumpy laundry truck to Salem, an intense conversation continues between captor and captive. Dan insists Kristen and Brady are history despite her delusions. She screams and struggles he LOVES her, flailing wildly with her roped hands! Dan reminds her reality can be a bitch. She gets tired and he checks her like a doctor. The wrists are bleeding and so the doctor gets the truck first aid kit. She gets sarcastic. He warns her not to try any funny stuff and gets some gel for the wound, calling her a wild one. She wonders about his ex-wife. Did he not grieve? She did when she lost her Brady. But at least he is still alive, within her reach. Dan drawls she is deluding herself. Kristen insists her bond with Brady is that he SAVED her! Eerie music plays as she recounts the unique love story of Kristen and Brady. He was the one man who made her believe in love again! The world became bright. Dan adds she was using him. She was, but could not resist loving him. Dan reminds her of her revenge plan. She calls Brady a good man. She was the happiest with him and it made her see the woman she could be, the woman she once was! Brady meets with Maggie at the house of Kiriakis and updates her on the status of John. She is relieved he is not giving up. He seeks an audience with Dan. The redhead replies he is probably still at his medical conference. Brady is all about making amends. So far he has apologized to Marlena and Aiden and there are others. If only he could talk to his dad too! … On the road to Salem, Dan gets defensive when Kristen mentions Jen. The she devil declares she is not one to give up on her own dreams and as long as she loves Brady, they are far from over. She was once a good person, a social worker. Then Marlena destroyed her dreams and how it haunted her! There was only sorrow for years, until Brady Black gave her hope and dreams and love all over again. Dan gets sarcastic. Kristen claims she is committed to helping Brady and sighs she would do anything for him. If only she had the chance! Dan considers. Kristen defiantly declares Dan is delusional for thinking he could take her to Salem for justice. She will see Brady on her own terms but not in Salem on Dan’s terms … Detective Hope is hard at work at the station when she runs into Aiden. Their eyes meet. They exchange an uncomfortable greeting. Hope explains she is extremely busy, then mentions the school assembly planning an announcement about the success of their gala. Aiden is unable to attend. She replies she will not attend either. They both act busy and go their separate ways. Aiden sighs wistfully … Marlena is at sleeping John’s bedside as she places the perfume from the past on her wrist. She holds his hand with heartfelt emotion and whispers she is here for the man she loves. She wonders whether he knows and asks him to squeeze her hand. Nothing happens, She weeps please. Nothing happens. She weeps and begs him to move a finger. Nothing happens again. She cries to please give her a sign, the tears streaming down her heartbroken beautiful face. Tragic music plays ... At the house of Horton, Jen primly pours the tea as Adrienne brings up JJ and Paige. Jen confirms he is serious about the girl. Adrienne questions Jen encouraging the young couple. Jen insists the girl is not like her mother. Adrienne advises her not to let her guard down with evil Eve. Jen insists there is no chance of that ... JJ updates Rory on Paige staying in Salem, at the square. Dude Rory is glad for his buddy but brings up all the babes on campus. He has already been attending parties and invites JJ to the next one to score. JJ lets him know he is not interested. Rory thinks it is a shame he is no longer a man about town. JJ insists he is a changed man so no such parties. Rory grins he knows he will make a comeback at college ... Eve heads home to Paige, who announces she has already withdrawn from Stanford for the year. Mama gasps. Paige explains she need only keep her grades high. Eve thinks even the name Salem U sounds stupid. Paige points out she will be by her side for the trial too. Ring ring! Paige now gets a call and goes to get a pen. Eve picks up her daughter’s phone, glares at her photo of JJ, and vows to break them up! Dan compliments Kristen on her good game. She taunts his time is almost up. As soon as the truck stops, people will have questions. Her wrists are red and her abductor is a man without any ID. In addition, she happens to be a master of the art of persuasion. Dan smugly states she will not get a chance like she thinks ... Brady opens the Kiriakis front door to Theresa the terrible, whose eyes are filled with hope. Maggie steps away to give them their privacy. Brady has someone waiting - a notary - so that he and Theresa can sign the annulment papers right here right now! Theresa had not been expecting this but plays along. Once the suited notary has what he needs and departs, Brady hopes she understands. Theresa pretends to agree it was the right thing to do. She sniffles they were … then opens the door, where she pauses. She just wants to say … and starts to stammer about her sister. Eve is evil with men! Brady explains no need to worry, he is done with dating anyone. She exits and he shuts the door. Then they go their separate ways. Marlena touches John’s handsome sleeping face and implores him to please squeeze her hand. The machine beeps. The soap heroine waits and waits. She eventually releases his hand and sadly stands up with her perfume from the past. Then she walks out the door. Seconds later, something happens. John’s eyelids start to flutter ...! Aiden runs into Hope at work again and boasts he is confirming dinner reservations with Jen. They are booked for dinner and then a play at the Imperial. Flabbergasted Hope wishes him a good time and tries to hide her disappointment. Dan boldly informs captive Kristen that this is not any truck, it is the right laundry truck. Their first scheduled stop is the Salem Inn, which happens to be a mere five doors down from the SALEM P.D. Kristen’s eyes fill with PANIC ... THE END AHEAD ON DAYS OF OUR LIVES: Kristen has no way out! EJ is shocked by Sami’s crazy maneuver. |
