At the park, Marlena waits for her explanation. She is clad in a black and white dress. It matches the extremes of the world that is Salem. John sighs he is not going to lie but Marlena thinks he already did! He tells the love of his life he was waiting for the right time and wonders whether she will support his move to the ISA ... At the nightclub Rafe refuses to serve Clyde and scowls to get the hell out. Clyde thinks he is looking for a fight. Rafe boasts he is going back to the Salem P.D. ... Hope rushes to Aiden's side, aghast when he announces he was mugged by a masked man wanting money. He got his wallet, his watch, and got away but not before Aiden threw a few blows back at him. Hope ignores his plea that she not contact the police and takes out her phone ... Clyde claims he and Rafe need ta have a chat man ta man. Rafe does not miss a sarcastic beat. Man to WHAT? He has a good laugh when Clyde leers he is jealous of him ... On a darker side of the park, Paige demands JJ come clean cos she heard that call he was on! He woefully admits he agreed to go undercover for the DEA when approached after he found out she was getting close to Kyle. Paige pouts and wonders why. He blurts out he still loves her. Paige is bothered and tearily tells him to stay out of her life. Jump Street JJ urges her to avoid Kyle cos he has been briefed by the DEA and he almost killed someone who did not pay up. She would be in harm's way by being with such a high level dealer and there is no way out for such thugs, except in prison or a body bag ... John confides to Marlena that he was not looking for another complication when his old friend the ISA came calling. Then why return? The spy who loves her believes it is in his blood ... He refers to her own calling but Marlena notes they are not the same - doctoring and spying. He reminds her of a past danger she encountered on the job. Then he tenderly takes her hand in his big strong one and lets her know her happiness is paramount to him. Marlena points out both parties in a partnership must be happy. John admits he might regret giving up his calling and then takes a call. Aiden has been attacked! They are on their way ... Aiden is elusive with Hope as well as the officer questioning him in the hotel room. He claims not to have noticed anything distinct about his dastardly masked attacker ...Back at the nightclub, Clyde taunts that he is a man who calls the shots, whereas Rafe only pours them. Rafe questions his reputation. Clyde brags he is clean. He taunts every night he sleeps like a baby beside the woman Rafe lost ... Back at the park, Paige fumes at JJ. She will never forget what he did to her and does not need any saving! She storms off and JJ gets a call from Kyle, who growls to get to his place right now ... Rafe quips Clyde reminds him of the US Congress - all talk no action. He considers Clyde a complete zero in spite of his attempts to sound like a hero ... Marlena and John arrive at the hotel room. Marlena attends to Aiden, who is against any hospital, then concludes his wounds seem superficial. Both she and John are shocked by the security breach. John intends to get the security footage from the manager. Hope agrees with his idea and getting the cops to go door to door too. John also wants to send for a forensics team. Aiden suddenly snaps and thunders to STOP and GET OUT! It is not the kind of reaction anyone had been expecting from a viciously beaten victim ... Rafe warns Clyde he is going to go to jail. Clyde claims he has powerful friends in high places like Victor Kiriakis. Rafe scoffs Victor is no friend of his. Clyde's eyes narrow. Then Victor must not want to mess with him. Rafe grimaces ... Aiden fibs he feels ashamed and wants no special treatment. Hope understands. John mutters he is still gonna get that security footage on his way out so they can get the guy and leaves with his lady. Aiden acts grateful ... Hope is sorry and assures Aiden she will respect his wishes. She now notes he had sent her only part of a text about something important he had wished to share ... Realizing that Rafe has no intention of serving him, Clyde helps himself to a bottle behind the bar and brazenly dares the big guy to arrest him. Rafe scoffs he will get him sooner or later and calls Clyde his own worst enemy. Cocky Clyde notes he has nothing on him and never will and walks off with the booze. Rafe stares darkly ... Aiden proceeds to paint a very untrue picture for Hope. He informs her that he hired a private investigator to find proof on Clyde as he was worried about her. Hope is much moved and anxiously awaits the rest. Aiden insists Clyde came out smelling like a rose. His bad reputation stems from the slander of a country competitor. Hope questions the amateur detective, then seems to accept his investigator's findings. She is sorry she could not be here to help him against the mugger and kisses him. She could not imagine ever losing him. Her eyes are haunted as they hug ... John and Marlena are back at the tranquil square of Salem. He reads a text and complains the security cameras were conveniently not working. He suspects tampering. Matter of fact, there is something very strange about this entire scenario ... Marlena just wishes being on the Salem PD was sufficient. If he is after travel, they can take exotic trips together. It is not about the locations. Then what? The intrigue? The super spy who loves her sighs he knows not. She laments she does not want to lose him again, after all they have been through together ... Kyle seems to be playing a game of cat and mouse with jumpy JJ. At least that is how it feels to the amateur undercover boy when he points his gun at him and tells him to sit down. JJ gasps and Kyle grins he's got to clean this thing. While cleaning the gun, he lets JJ knows he hopes he has his back like he has his. JJ assures him he does. Once more he points the gun, then tells him to take it easy. JJ's nerves are rattled when an ambulance with a siren speeds by on the street. Kyle keeps cleaning his gun, as if to intimidate him ...Marlena laments John would have to lie with the ISA and keep secrets. He notes honesty has never been a problem for them in their relationship. He tells her why he knows for a fact they can do this ... John on "us" John gets a call from the ISA and roguishly decides they can wait. He then gives the woman he loves a highly romantic kiss ... Kyle advises JJ to be on his guard cos the cops and the competitors and now the DEA could be after them. When Kyle looks busy with the gun, JJ quickly bends over and pockets the ticket on the floor, the one with the numbers of Kyle's combination safe. He states it is all good no worries ...At the pub Paige cries to pal Daphne about falling in love being the worst mistake of her young life ... Back at the nightclub, Rafe greets glowing John and Marlena. He pales upon hearing that Aiden was attacked by a mugger in his hotel room and Hope was there. Clyde creeps closer to listen. Marlena explains Hope came after the attack. Rafe breathes a sigh of relief ...Hope sadly recounts how Bo tragically took off leaving his family behind. Her world was shattered until Aiden came along. She praises him for his HONESTY and gently tends to his wounded face. Then she kisses him and invites him home to her bed. Ciara and Chase are away for the night. The hiding is officially OVER. They kiss again ... THE END Ahead on Days: John wants to officially reconcile. Aiden gets threatened again! Eve knows JJ's secret. |
