She thinks his plan to tell Nicole they are over is a mistake. EJ suggests they can even be happy whilst waiting. Tay talks business theory and her take on the situation. It is delusional to assume they will work out, though it is possible but even if they did, she might not be happy if Nicole ended up hating her. EJ points out they never intended to fall in love or hurt Nicole. Tay's sensitivity, he feels, will not protect her sister. Tay laments she does not want to cause her pain. EJ argues that Nicole would not be the same way. He knows, as he is just like her, though she does have wonderful qualities. Nicole will come out of this stronger than ever. Of that he is certain. Taylor is not so sure. EJ compares them to the King abdicating for the Duchess of Windsor. They lived happily ever after and everyone forgave them. Tay points out that England is a country, whereas Nicole is a woman who has been kicked around. She has doubts about this. It simply feels wrong. EJ muses God must have a sense of humor, making him fall in love with a woman who has a conscience. He assures her he will be kind and gentle with Nicole and keep her out of it. Then she can decide what she wants to happen. He will not jeopardize her relationship with her sister. EJ now asks Taylor to have faith in him and know he is not the man who did those things to Samantha and Nicole. Taylor believes he has changed, though love makes people overly emotional. He is happy she is in love with him and they kiss again. - Nicole walks into the Cheatin Heart and flashes back to seeing her sister kissing her husband. She bitterly wonders which secret Fay wanted to tell her - about Rafe in the basement or Taylor and EJ. Chloe has overheard and is sorry. Nicole confirms she caught them kissing. But she will fight back! The friends console each other over martinis. Chloe laments she destroyed her life but at least she was not betrayed by her sister. Nicole scoffs at how she begged Taylor to stay and asked EJ to make her feel welcome. Time for revenge! She will not give up without a fight. And she now knows Tay was lying when she denied EJ was the mystery man she met. Chloe warns her to remember what happened the last time she took on the DiMeras. She ended up penniless, with no Syd visitation, in jail. Compared to Stefano. Victor is like Father Christmas. Nicole mutters she will be careful and when she gets the proof, she will be the one calling the shots! Chloe suggests she remember that her sister Taylor did try to leave Salem. Perhaps she should not blame her. She only has one sister and should not be so hard on her. Nicole quips she will have to choose between her or her husband. This time Tay will not get everything she wants! Nicole takes her leave, determined to put her house in order ... - At the hospital, Carly asks Mel not to tell Dan she was not quite herself last night. Mel agrees. Carly feels badly she has not been there for her and gets nervous she has missed a lot. Along comes nurse Maxine and she needs a few minutes of the doctor's time regarding some admin. She also asks Mel if she got the memo about the nurse's meeting regarding missing drugs! When Mel tells Carly about the meeting, she nervously flashes back to stealing the hospital meds and suggests they leave the hospital now. They do. - At the apartment, Dan and Jennifer stop kissing and he drawls it was unexpected. Jen is breathless. Dan shyly mentions wanting to ask her on a date. Jen smiles she will think about that. He grins. She cutely suggests various options, including poetry and baseball. Dan chuckles he knows a poem. "There once was a hermit named Dave ..." Jennifer giggles. They decide on a sports bar. Jen thinks it would be a great date. He likes sports bars and she likes the Cubs. Enter Carly and Melanie. "You're going on a date?" snaps Mel. Carly's face falls. Dan would rather she not be so loud as this is personal. Mel claims she is fine with it and pleasantly goes to the kitchen to open a bottle of wine. Carly smiles and acts happy for Jen. Dan steps away and Jen confides it is time for her to move on with her life. Carly encourages her, as she deserves someone to share her life with. They are her two favorite people and she does not want her to be lonely. Concerned Jen wonders if she is really okay with this. She noticed she was taken aback. Carly states Jen was just projecting her guilt about Jack onto her. Her dear fried should stop worrying what other people think, too! Jen must meet Abigail and excuses herself. Dan gets the door. He is looking forward to watching that Cubs game with her. Exit Jen.Mel wants to talk about Dan's outfit for the date. He jokingly reminds her they are not sorority sisters. Carly suddenly excuses herself. Outside the door, she gasps and rummages through her purse for meds. No luck. She walks off in a hurry. Dan and Mel have noticed she is not quite herself ... - Abby is on her computer when Aunt Adrienne enters the Brady pub. Abby gushes about her ring. Adrienne asks after her mother. Abby sees she is serious and deduces she has news on Jack. Adrienne laments she wrote Jack about all that has been happening with his family and his reply was a haiku on his feelings about sunsets! - At the Brady house, a photographer takes a picture of Mayor Abraham shaking the hand of rescuer Rafe 2. Abe apologizes for not warming up to him sooner. Rafe 2 wants to split, as he already gave his statement. Bo adds there is one more thing. Knock knock knock! Bo asks him to get the door. He does. There stands Sami! Roman called her. Bo, Abe, and the photographer go to the kitchen. Sami congratulates Rafe 2 on what he did for the kids. He plays it cool. Sami adds that is not all Roman told her. She knows he requested a leave of absence. He drawls he stayed to find the kids and was only planning to leave for a little while, like her, to clear his head. He is ready to go now. Sami primly states she missed him. He retorts she missed PA Rafe (pre-accident). She is hopeful he is still in there and gets tears in her ears. Perhaps they can work thru this together. They should go home and discuss. The Bradys and Carvers return to the living room. Theo suddenly yells for Rafe to go away now! Silence. Abe is sorry. Lexie assumes his stress is due to the busy day, which was filled with far too much stimulation. Rafe 2 flashes back to pressuring Theo to keep his silence. He now asks Abe a favor. He would like to speak with Theo, to clear things up. Theo hugs his mother tightly. Rafe starts to tell Theo he was just worried about them when he found them. He gives Ciara a look and she nods nervously. Theo exclaims that he wants to go home. Lexie is sorry and leaves with Theo and Abe. Hope reassures Rafe 2 the boy has been through a lot. Sami thinks it is time to go. Exit Sami and reluctant Rafe 2. Bo and family plan a pasta dinner. When Bo brings up Rafe, Ciara confides that he is mean when he is alone with kids! Bo and Hope later discuss. Bo is not surprised, given his accident. They now talk Ciara. Bo hopes their daughter does not blame herself for anything anymore. Hope is happy that she is fine and they hug, ready to work on bringing their family back together. The mood is light. - At the loft, Sami has arranged for herself and Rafe 2 to be alone. He wonders where they should start. - At the pub, Abby reads Jack's blog and calls him a jerk. Jen appears and wonders what her father has done now. Abby tells her not to look. Jen takes a seat and is sorry. Abby is stuck with him but she can move on. Abby suggests her mother go on a dating website. Jen lets her knows she has a date. Abby is surprised. Jen casually states it is with Daniel. Abby smiles he is hot. Jen finds her reaction embarrassing. Abby is happy for her. Jen points out it is just a first date. Abby excitedly asks what she is going to wear. - Carly is back at the hospital. She has her eye on the meds nearby but overhears Maxine talking about the missing drugs. Moments later, a lab rep in a suit comes looking for Dr. Carver with medical samples. Carly suggests he leave them with her. - EJ decides it is time for him to go talk to Nicole. The picnic is over ... - Nicole is at the pier, angrily telling her contact on the phone that she needs those results now! She then muses she will have EJ exactly where she wants him and walks off. - Taylor and EJ return to the DiMera mansion. She admits she is scared. He asks her to let him take care of everything. Enter Nicole, grinning like a cheshire cat. "What have you guys been up to?" - At the loft, Sami confides to Rafe 2 she thought a lot about them while she was away. Like what? First she should unpack. She goes into the other room. Rafe 2 curses if not for those kids, he would be somewhere drinking a margarita. However, he is still resourceful. "I knew what to do with Fay, I know what to do with you too, Sami!" he leers. Next on Days of Our Lives "There is never going to be a right time to tell Nicole," EJ explains to Taylor. Nicole holds up an envelope. "So the prisoner in the basement was Rafe Hernandez!" "I won't say a word about the woman you slept with last night," Dario exclaims to Rafe 2 as Sami eavesdrops. |
