Joey spies Jade at the square listening to music. She smiles at her stalker and they talk music. She complains he did not come to Chicago. He complains about his parents' problems. She gets a text about her father coming home for lunch for once and takes her leave. Joe looks depressed ... Steve is packing at the house. Kayla watches. He picks up a happy family photo from the mantle and she hopes he is not taking it. He asks why she cares ... Summer is alone remembering Maggie's admission she gave her up as a baby on her own. Such sad news. She still has her fallen charm and walks out of her hotel room, slamming the door behind herself ... At the hospital, Maggie demands answers from Theresa. Why did she ask her and Victor to move in! Theresa stammers she heard Brady and Justin discussing Victor having to give Deimos complete control of the company as well as the mansion. Maggie sighs. She demands a wheelchair so she can see Victor NOW ... Nicole is with Victor in his room and realizes he actually wants her to go after his brother. She notes Deimos is not her problem and points out he never told her she looked like Helena. Besides this whole mess affects Maggie. He quips all the more reason to help him. She talks payment and he grins he will make it worth her while as soon as he takes back his fortune. She wonders what she could even do. The Greek talks possibilities since she resembles the woman Deimos lost decades ago. Seduce Deimos, marry him, and take the sob for every single thing he has. He appeals to her ruthless side and reminds her of the old Nicole he used to know. Nicole is listening. She sits down and admits it makes her feel lightheaded. He wants to know whether she will play. Nicole explains she changed for Dan the good man. But Victor suspects she is still the same person with her bag of tricks ready for a worthy cause. He will be able to spend his money on Maggie on the best doctors. Nicole gets teary about having to sleep with Deimos. Victor retorts rotten Deimos was the one who made Maggie fall. He hopes she will consider his offer and looks at her intently. She stands and walks out without a word ... Steve thinks Kayla has plenty of such pictures. She wants it to stay there as Joey liked it. It went up the night Steve moved home, before the unraveling. Joey likes it there. Steve too. Kayla wants her son to have the comfort he needs as well as counseling. Steve agrees. She laments he said no but she is not giving up. Steve notes she does not want their son to know she was hospitalized. He agrees not to say anything to him about it. Kayla thanks him and leaves the room. Steve is holding a few books when Joey comes back home. He thinks his father is giving up too easily ... Theresa wheels Maggie to Victor's room. Brady spies Summer nearby and asks why she was hiding from Maggie when she passed. Summer stammers what could she say? She wishes she could forget she gave her up. Brady escorts her somewhere to speak in private ... Victor is pleased as punch to see Maggie. The redhead asks where they will be going once released. Victor growls at Theresa for blabbing. Maggie wants him to talk to HER. He mutters they must be left alone. Exit Theresa. He now admits to Maggie that Deimos blackmailed him to get his mansion and his business. He wanted to withhold it from her until she was better. He blames Theresa's big mouth. She updates him on Theresa's invitation for them to move in. More importantly, she wonders what Deimos blackmailed him with. Victor claims it was HER. Maggie had not been expecting that ... Steve insists he is simply giving Kayla space. But Joey has seen the last box of his belongings. They discuss the note and Joey laments it did not work. Steve suggests he is giving her the chance to miss him and vows to come home. Kayla appears. Steve takes his last box after hugging his sulking son. Joey agrees to visit his dad at the new digs. Steve stops at the door, reminds Kayla he loves her and walks out into the sun. Kayla cannot meet her son's stare at first, then does. Joey sarcastically hopes she is satisfied ... Brady has brought Summer home and defends Maggie, who was a mere teen when she was born. He suspects she is scared about what to say as well and suggests she be more understanding, unless her angle is to drag it out and make him continue to pity her ... Maggie is confused. Victor clarifies. He laments it is not easy to explain but Deimos was the one who put her in that wheelchair. Dangerous Deimos poisoned her! It happened the night she fell at the engagement party. The drugging led to her dizziness. She would have died without the antidote Deimos offered in return for everything he had. Maggie squeezes his hand and cries he gave it all up for her life. Sweet music plays in the background ... Joey knows not why his parents are apart. Kayla laments love is not always enough. There was too much risk with Steve around. She reminds him he took someone's life. Joey yells tossing his father out will change nothing. He accuses her of tearing the family apart and takes off ... Summer realizes Theresa has gotten to Brady, about her playing them. Brady admits her coldness toward ailing Maggie could be a sign. Summer wants to prove that is not the case so he advises her to give her mother a chance ... Maggie updates Victor on the day Deimos came by. He had requested a glass of water, which was when she left him alone for a minute. Her handbag was left behind with her bottle of meds. Victor suspects he switched them. He makes light of the money he lost cos without his Maggie he has no raison d'etre. Maggie deduces Deimos was just as cold and calculating when he seduced Helena. Such men cannot change. All one can do is exact REVENGE. Victor is mighty amused to hear her speak the R word. She asks him if he is IN. The Greek grins like a sly fox ... Joey finds out Jade is not at home and finds her by the park. The teens sit together at their usual bench. She gets upset about her parents wanting to send her to boarding school. He admits he is upset about his father leaving again. Jade has an idea. They could kiss Salem goodbye for good ... Friendly Fynn stops by Kayla's house on his way home. He asks how she is. She assures him she is doing everything he prescribed. He charmingly invites himself in for tea ... Victor admits he did an injustice to Deimos long ago and Deimos feels justified in what he has taken. He does not want an all out WAR. Therefore, he is not going to make a move against him. He does not mention the fact that Nicole is his lethal weapon ... Nicole walks through the town square thinking about Victor's wild wicked offer as Mediterranean music plays ... Kayla converses with Fynn and finds out he started with Doctors without Borders, where he met Dan the good man. He makes Kayla laugh when he talks poker and compliments her smile ... Back at the hospital, Summer sees Theresa taking Maggie back to her room. Brady admits Theresa used to be messed up too but she changed for the sake of their son. It affected him deeply as he also had to work to change. He now urges her to go to Maggie. She smiles slightly and does just that ... Theresa has tucked Maggie in. Maggie cracks a joke. Summer enters and asks to talk if she is not tired. Maggie muses she is dazed dealing with some news. However, she is happy to have her here. Theresa returns the wheelchair to the nurse's station without a word to Summer. Summer now gives Maggie back her missing charm and confesses she stole it. Maggie looks up at her in astonishment ... CONCLUSION: Joey wants to know where they would run away. Jade suggests it matters not. They could teach their parents a lesson! She suggests it could bring his parents back together and he agrees ... Kayla thanks Fynn for being a friend. She stands to get a refill of his iced tea and suddenly falls to the floor. Fynn races to her unconscious side ... Maggie sadly asks why Summer stole her jewelry. Summer updates her on that day they bumped at the square. The charm had fallen off Maggie's bracelet so she took it. She apologizes. Maggie nods through her tears but they are tears of relief that she has returned. Summer sighs Brady told her she was being too harsh. She talks second chances and Maggie assures her she wants that. Mother and daughter clasp hands as a piano tinkles ... Victor is alone and once again opens the box with Helena's fallen bracelet and embroidered scarf. He holds them in his powerful hands, pondering his next deadly move ... THE END!
