The songbird sings the soulful song she wrote about being swept away by sadness ... Meanwhile Belle is in bed with Phillip and wonders what has him so wired. He apologizes for being aggressive and admits he yearns to make amends with Victor, which is why he must dig something up on Deimos as ordered. Belle urges him not to become a mini Victor and wishes he would focus on impressing him with his new record label ... At the station Lani and Shawn are looking at the suspects board. They act like a new couple who cannot focus. Lani takes it a step further when she locks the door, shuts the blinds, and tries to get sexy with him on the conference table. But Shawn will not play as he takes his police duties seriously especially at the station. Lani admits she has not been in a good relationship for a while and then had a crush on Rafe, who only has eyes for Hope. This seems to come as a surprise to Shawn ... Rafe is at the square with his coffee. He smiles as he remembers romantically declaring his love for Hope, then texts her as he heard she called in sick today ... Hope blows her nose on the sofa and remembers her last conversation with Rafe. She sees his text and assumes it is him calling when her telephone rings. She gushes she was about to call as she picks up. Tis Andre calling from prison! He cackles he has been counting the days. She snaps what does he want, her eyes mirroring her worry. Andre boasts things are looking better for his court date is approaching and his attorney is optimistic he will win. He coos he has big plans to settle his scores once a free man again and taunts he spoke with Chase. Hope starts to get angry. When he leers Ciara led him on, she explodes and thunders she wishes the death sentence for Andre ... School is out early today so Ciara and Theo spend some time at the pretty park together. Tis a beautiful spring day in Salem. Theo shyly asks her to the prom. She was not intending to attend but he talks her into it. She now updates him on the drama at DiMera mansion, how sorry she was for Abigail. She feels stronger every day and it did her a world of good to take care of Thomas. Theo holds her hand and she thanks him for his support. She impulsively kisses him on the mouth and Abe appears with a grimace. This is not good ... Ciara leaves for the Edge when Claire calls. Abe wants a word with his son, who stammers he has work to do. He gushes he is going to meet up with Ciara later ... Ciara joins singing Claire at the trendy club and applauds her talent. Claire is anxious about Phillip's approval and updates her perplexed pal on wanting a record contract with his company ... Andre muses Hope is supposed to be an offica of the law. He hisses after he is released he will be the judge and jury and will bring down both her and her boyfriend, to avenge Stefano's murder. Hope has heard enough ... The phone rings again and she picks up in a rage, bellowing at the s.o.b. to stop bothering her. Rafe is the caller this time and she complains about Andre. He is on his way ... Shirtless Phillip is distracted. Belle is dead set against him going after Deimos. There could be fallout ... Abe mentions the date nights he used to have with Theo's mother and muses it sound like Theo wants to date Ciara ... Belle insists Phillip will be able to gain Victor's respect with his record label. He tells her he could do anything with her by his side and they passionately kiss ... Theo admits Ciara sometimes kisses him. Abe attempts to warn him against reading too much into the friendly gesture. Theo becomes defensive, feeling his father is only being overly protective as he is autistic ... Ciara urges Claire not to doubt her God given talent while Claire urges Ciara not to let Chase cast a dark shadow on her life. Ciara admits she only accepted Theo's prom invite as she did not want to hurt him. She has no interest in any festivities. Claire, who is currently dateless, is pumped about the 1980s theme and adds Ciara can ask her mom for a dress or ideas ... Rafe sits with Hope at the house and gives her a pep talk to put all worries about Andre out of her mind. He drawls he will get in touch with the defense-attorney to see if there have been any developments. Hope feels better already despite her bad cold. She admits she could not sleep last night since she had what he said on her mind. He assures her he meant every word, no pressure. She points out she knows and there are feelings on her part. However, it would be too soon. Rafe quietly suggests she deserves love in her life. She need not be alone. They come close to kissing until Ciara and Claire arrive. Then Hope stands in relief and hopes they will stay ... As lonely country music plays in the background, Belle is pleased to see Shawn arriving at the pub. She was trying to reach him. He states he has been busy. She tells him it will not take long and presents him with her signed divorce papers. She feels they both need to move forward and points out he has already met someone. Shawn stares sadly at the signed papers and is about to say something when Lani greets them both with a possessive hand on his shoulder. Belle excuses herself with a smile, then pauses outside the window, giving Shawn a look of longing he does not see ... Claire asks Hope for ideas on their 1980s themed prom as it was her heyday. Rafe chuckles about big hair and starts to leave. Hope follows him outside the door ... Phillip is on a record label call having a discussion about the design. But after the call he soap stares at an article about Victor's heart attack, which he is convinced was caused by Deimos. He now soap stares at the next story, about Deimos the new king of Victor's empire ... Hope runs up to Rafe outside her door and gasps he is right. Then she kisses him and he responds with an even longer kiss ... THE END Ahead on Days of Our Lives: Ben is back inside Abigail's head! |
