Now without further ado ...


Theresa makes noise and lets the sun come in until Summer wakes up on the sofa. It seems she is on the warpath. Summer is tired and still smarting over Maggie's rejection while Theresa accuses her of being after Brady and manipulating him by playing the victim. Tired Summer tries to placate the peeved fiancee ... Brady has coffee and muffins for Maggie. He gets an update that they do not know how she fares for it is too soon. Maggie calls Victor's name and opens her eyes to Brady ... Phillip is at the hospital early enough to see his father before he wakes up and tells him to take a hike. Fynn enters and he explains he intends to get him the home care he needs once he is released. He is sorry to hear that Maggie has not walked yet. Victor's eyes fly open and he lays blame on himself and Phillip for if he had not brought him back, his Maggie would be in a better state ... At the police station Roman has left another urgent message for Eric, who is late already. Marlena fears he went drinking. Roman suspects he ran. Belle cannot get hold of him either. John stands by the side of the woman he loves, whose eyes mirror her worry ... Eric wakes up nekid in bed next to Jen. He gasps, remembers his sentencing hearing and rolls out of bed with a groan ... Victor snaps at his screw-up son to get the hell out! Phillip announces he would like to make amends ... Brady assures Maggie that Victor is in fine form. And Summer? He admits she had a hard night and asks what she knows ... Summer reasons she had nowhere else turn, hence her arrival at their doorstep. Theresa screams to find another savior next time and go somewhere else ... Jen wakes up to her phone and finds many messages from JJ. She has a foggy flashback to drinking and making out with Eric. There are empty booze battles on the floor and Eric is nowhere to be seen. She finds his phone and realizes what day it is for her friend ...

At the station Commissioner Roman is close to sending a squad car when Eric staggers in looking like the morning after. Roman rages he smells like booze and cannot appear before the judge looking like he just rolled out of bed. Eric scoffs his life sucks anyway. Roman drags him to his office for a shirt as Marlena hangs her head and Belle and John watch in uncomfortable silence ... Summer can see that Theresa fears losing Brady, who is out of her league. That sets Theresa off even more. Exasperated Summer notes she needed Brady's help as her whole reunion with Maggie went and blew up in her face ... Maggie changes the subject and sighs she is tired so Brady apologizes and exits. He heads home only to find Theresa smugly tidying up. He asks after Summer. She tells him she was getting her fresh towels for after her shower she will be leaving. Summer appears to apologize for interrupting their date night. Brady urges her to let them know what happened with Maggie. Meanwhile the redhead remembers the hard childbirth, not wanting to hold her baby and cries out Summer's name ...

As Mediterranean music plays in the background, Victor holds Helena's bracelet and embroidered handkerchief. He reads Deimos' note about not forgetting and flashes back to that fateful day in Greece all those years ago. Helena had been confronted by Victor outside and he had called her a ho for sleeping with his brother, trying to choke her. She had broken free and hit back that Deimos loved her more. Victor lunged and she turned to leave, only to fall onto a rock, where she hit her temple. Blood trickled down and then she was gone. Back to the present. Victor has her handkerchief and fallen bracelet in his hand and sighs he has not succeeded in forgetting. How he wishes he would .... Theresa and Brady wait for Summer to tell them what went wrong with Maggie. She explains she knows she never wanted her now ... Phillip dutifully returns to Victor and informs dad he could not get in to see Maggie. Victor snarls to stop calling him that and if he ever wants his forgives he must find a way to destroy Deimos for good! Phillip considers ... Jen comes to the station with Eric's phone. Marlena takes her aside and tells her off for getting her son drunk the night before his drunk driving sentencing. That is not something a friend does! Jen is sorry. Marlena snaps she also knows about her painkiller addiction. Eric arrives and defends Jen to his mother. He is the one to blame for what he did. Lawyer Belle does not want to keep the judge waiting any longer ... Summer hopes her revelation about Maggie does not make anyone hate her. Theresa quips she does not. Brady reasons the redhead was only 17 years old at the time. Theresa takes a fit at woeful Summer for playing the part of the waif to get Brady's pity ... Eric unhappily explains to his loved ones that this is where they will say their final farewells for a while. He would rather be in the courtroom alone ... Victor unhooks himself and heads to his Maggie's room ... Brady does not approve of Theresa's tirade against Summer, who slinks away, muttering she did not want to make them feel miserable. Theresa tries to stop him from going after her ... Victor is holding Maggie's hand and murmurs he is here. She smiles at his stubbornness and suggests he go back to bed. He asks her what happened ... Marlena is disheartened. John drawls the court will be crawling with the press people. He gives Eric a hearty hug and Eric thanks him for being there for his mother. Eric kisses Jen, notes now they will only be able to imagine what might have been, and urges her to get off the pills. He apologizes to papa Roman and promises to work to be a good man. The commissioner cries he is already a good man and emotionally embraces his son ... Marlena is standing by the window, John at her side for support. He steps away when Eric approaches. He asks her not to blame Jen cos it was his fault and is sorry he let her down, Marlena weeps how much she loves him and holds him close one last time. Then he must leave for the courtroom with Belle. Roman soon gets a call that devastates him. Eric was sentenced to five years! Marlena has a meltdown in John's arms. Jen cries ... Theresa has accused Summer of obsessing over Brady and now accuses Brady of obsessing over Summer. Brady blasts her for being so insecure ... Maggie assures Victor she feels fine but he feels she is not telling him the truth. Dr Fynn arrives and sends him back to his room. Victor waits at the door and watches as he tests her feet and legs. Alas she has no feeling so far and weeps she will never walk again ... Prisoner Eric the commissioner's son is chained and shackled as he is led onto the corrections bus. The future inmates he must sit with have empty murderous eyes. Eric stares numbly into space as the bus starts to pull away ...
