There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... Theresa is sketching intently. Brady admires her and she notices him standing there. She fears he found the budget rather ...Brady grins the budget is great, their son asleep. He puts his arms around her. He proudly praises her for having orders already plus her talented sketches. She wonders how she can thank him for his unwavering support. He drawls with dinner. She realizes there is little food in the fridge and suggests takeout from the pub. But Brady wants to celebrate in style tonight as they go on their first official sober date. She giggles in agreement. He steps away to tell the nanny and adds to wear a sexay dress ... At the Edge Summer is downing drinks to take off the Edge. She is devastated Maggie did not want her as a baby after all ... Rafe and Hope keep kissing at the door. They then stop and stammer, uncertain what to say, though they both believe it was a great kiss. She suggests he stay for a drink so they can discuss. Rafe readily agrees. He needs a glass of bourbon. They both do ... Abigail is fast asleep on the sofa. She hears the baby crying and sees someone going to get him in the darkness. She assumes it is Ben and screams to stay away from her baby. The lights come on and Ciara stands there holding him. She apologizes for startling her and states Chad asked her to come and watch over him so Abigail would be able to sleep. Abigail gasps she is sorry. She wants to know where Chad went. All he said was he had something important to do. Abigail is frantic to find her phone and track down her husband ... Rafe and Hope sit on the sofa with their bourbon. She lets him know even though it was a great kiss, it cannot happen again. She fears they would lose their friendship if they got involved. Rafe reasons they would be even greater together and ignores a call. He blurts out he cannot forget what just happened as he loves her so much! Hope is torn. He gets another message from Chad and mutters he has to go as Chad said it was an important police matter. He hopes they can continue this conversation later. Hope agrees, though her eyes are filled with anguish ... Stylish Theresa and Brady get a somewhat private table at the Edge. They sit down to order. Summer staggers toward the ladies room and spies the pair, much to Theresa's dismay. Brady does not like the fact that she is swaying and has had too much to drink. He invites her to join them as she seems lonely. Theresa grimaces. Summer claims she is only headed to the ladies room and staggers off. Brady watches as she goes back to the bar and fumbles in her handbag. The hero heads toward her and asks what really happened. He suspects she had an argument with Maggie, given how she is practically crying ... Chad has summoned Rafe to the park. He is furious Ben was able to find his way to Abigail and fears he will do it again. Therefore he demands the cops arrange to place him in a maximum security prison. Rafe drawls no can do cos it is up to the judge. Chad starts to sound vigilante so Rafe offers to find out what he can and get back to him. Chad laments he cannot lose Abi and the baby. They are the most important people in his world. Rafe advises him to go to them for he will contact him as soon as he has any intel ... Abigail holds her son but he does not stop crying. Ciara notes he might feel that she is not herself. She takes him and sings an Irish lullaby that Abigail remembers from her own Irish nanny. Abigail wishes she could soothe her son. Ciara assures her she will be able to once she is herself again - after she gets over what happened with Ben when he broke in here. Abigail suddenly flashes back to setting him on fire and holds her stomach. The stress of it is too much to bear and she runs to the bathroom to get sick ... Summer sighs Brady should go to Theresa who might get mad. Brady wonders what upset her. She complains about the town and its inhabitants. Brady gets Victor was vicious though he was worried about Maggie. Summer says not to worry but Brady feels to blame for bringing her to Salem. He will not abandon her. She thinks no one is as nice as him. He hopes her relationship with Maggie will be good and she turns away. He tells her she can count on him. She gets it and urges him to get back to Theresa. She has cash for a cab. He does just that ... Hope sighs at a framed photo of Tom and Alice and addresses gran. She knows not what to do. Rafe is a good man who fancies himself in love with her ... Rafe is sitting at the square looking depressed ... Chad finds Ciara holding Thomas and asks after Abigail. She replies she is in the bathroom getting sick. She updates him on the latest. Chad notes she probably came down with something. Ciara brings up Chase. Chad is sorry about that. She tries to explain how hard it is being a victim. Chad tries to make her feel better. She suspects Abi is blaming herself for not knowing who Ben really was and not being able to stop him soon enough. She compares it to her own sad story. Chad appreciates her being here. He asks if she can return tomorrow after school. Of course. Pale Abigail now emerges and he holds her in his arms. She leans her head against his chest like a lost lamb ... At the Edge, Theresa just loved her lamb! She talks dessert but Brady is distracted. She suggests he call the inn to check that Summer got home safely. He has no idea what is troubling the girl. Theresa tells him to let her handle her own issues. He blames himself for bringing the fragile creature here. He thought he would be able to save Summer and help Maggie but now she is no better off than when he found her at the beach in Malibu. Theresa tells him to let Summer handle it herself with Maggie and Victor. Meanwhile Summer continues to drink hard liquor in her room. She suddenly grabs her handbag and staggers out with Brady's sobriety badge ... Back at DiMera mansion Abigail gets the baby back after Chad apologizes, very vague about where he was. She thanks Ciara for coming and lets her know she can go. The baby cries loudly as she bounces him. Chad wants to take him. She snaps she can take care of her son, she has to, but still he cries. Chad watches with worry ... Theresa thinks Brady has enough stress without Summer. He agrees and suavely suggests they slow dance. She giggles and they take to the dance floor. She moves in his arms and updates him on their wedding invitations, how she got a calligrapher. He is all for it. She marvels how far they have come and he kisses her. He calls Tate their best mistake and she teases he was their best accident. They let each other know how much they mean to one another and romantically kiss ... Abigail attempts to hush the baby but has no luck. Chad wants to take him and she accuses him of acting like she is unfit. Tiny Thomas' cry turns into a worrisome wail ... Rafe impulsively calls Hope from the square. She says hey and he is relieved she actually answered after ... He hopes he did not scare her away. She states his words were sweet and romantic. He meant every one, says he. She notes Ciara is now home from the mansion. He knows how hard things are there. She promises they will talk tomorrow and he grins goodnight. Hope now stares out the window into the uncertain night ... Brady is kissing Theresa on the neck as they arrive home. All of a sudden he sees Summer sitting in front of their door. She laments she knew not where to go and he insists she stay with them. Theresa clearly does not share his sentiment ... Chad insists on taking the baby and he stops crying. He steps to the open door for some fresh air, his back to Abigail, who starts to weep. Then she walks away. He calls after her without success. This is not the way things were meant to be ...
