Friday April 18, 2014 Episode 12,320 - Hope wants to go after Luis to come clean about their chaos. Aiden suavely states all is not lost yet for the grand gala. The legal eagle boasts they can still triumph! He suspects Howell must have skeletons in his closet. Hope doubts it, then gets a call. More sighing. Never mind Mr. Howell, things just got worse! Madame Giselle Van Harper, the blue blood donator of expensive art items to the auction has pulled out. There goes half the revenue! Hope pours a mountain of sugar in her pub cup of coffee the way she does when nervous. Aiden wants to call the blue blood. Hope has a better idea. To track the blue blood down and confront her face to face! Aiden drawls now she is talking and grins, sipping his coffee. - JJ is leaving mama Jen a message at the town square seeking the latest on Dan when he spies Paige. He says hey. She ignores him. He notices and comes running over. She laments to leave her alone and keeps going. JJ's face falls. The girl accuses him of standing her up and not even contacting her to say why he was a no-show. JJ insists he sent a text. She quips Mary Beth said he would try that excuse. JJ shows her his text as well as the time that it was delivered. Paige is confused, until she remembers leaving her phone near her so-called friend. They conclude Mary Beth deleted the text. JJ is sorry he was late and is sorry in gereral. He asks for another chance. She smiles so what next? He invites her home to hang out. The girl with the wavy hair nods and they head for Horton house. - Sami has her art book at the hospital with Abigail, who tries to tell her that today is not a good time. Something very serious happened but she cannot discuss it. Sami decides then she can listen and starts to talk about impressing EJ at the Vatican. She has learned much and Abigail muses she also has that big wedding to plan. Sami purrs the wedding plans are coming along perfectly. Abigail wishes her well, she and EJ deserve to be happy. Sami fails to notice the tragedy in Abigail's eyes and assures her she will find someone too. Sami now starts to complain about her conflict with Gabi. At issue is one Nick Fallon. Naturally she knows that he is Abigail's cousin but asks her to be candid, say what she really thinks of him. Abigail acts optimistic about new Nick being a changed man and wanting to have his own happily ever after just like he says. Sometimes people do make mistakes in life. If Sami had done something and was trying to make things right, become a better person, would she too not deserve a second chance? Sami is not exactly in the frame of mind to philosophize, unlike Abigail. Her thoughts and memories seem to be all Abigail has left these days ... - A black gloved hand has the large color photograph of Abigail and EJ kissing passionately like lovers, her skirt line getting higher, and throws it on an old scratched table. There is a large green envelope as well. - Will shows up at the mansion pushing a stroller and confesses to Master EJ he has messed up big time! He updates him on impulsively bringing up the custody agreement to Gabi, who naturally got upset. He just blurted it out the way his mother does! Why, he is just like her! EJ insists Will not blame himself and grins he came to the right place to fix everything. He wonders whether he put down Nick to the girl. Not exactly but Gabi swears he has changed. How easy it would be if that were true! EJ asks about Sonny's position on the matter. Will notes he is all for the custody agreement. EJ grins it will work out well, He will simply convince Gabi, who trusts him, that this would be in her own best interest as well. Voila. - Gabi and Nick are sharing a deep kiss on the park bench. Rafe appears. Gabi stops and says his name. Nick gets a strange look. They stand up together to face the music. Gabi babbles it is her life. Rafe stares down Nick, remembering Will's words about anyone provoking Nick maybe making things worse. Rafe doesn't blink. Neither does Nick. He acts like he does not want to cause trouble. Rafe casually claims he just came to tell his sister he was sorry for their fight. Gabi grabs him in a hug and gushes this means much. Nick watches. Something is amiss. - JJ takes the girl home to Horton house, which happens to be empty. He explains he had no idea no one was there, suggests a coffee date, and fumbles with his wallet. Paige points out she liiiiiiiiiiikes being there alone with him. They get closer .... JJ suddenly gets a text. He sends his phone flying and shakes his head. She asks what is the matter. - Sami did not intend to upset Abigail and decides to go. She explains one sometimes has a sixth sense about a person and it indicates the person is trouble. That is why she brought up Nick. Abigail can relate. However, one can be wrong. Exit Sami, pretending to agree. Abigail sighs. Sami pauses outside the door and laments she knows she is not wrong about Nick, unfortunately. - Nick shakes hands with Rafe and hopes one day they can be friends. So he says. Rafe musters all his strength to mutter maybe and adds he will have to prove himself, though, cos his little sister means the world to him. Gabi tries to stop him but Nick notes Rafe is absolutely right.He has been telling himself the same thing since he returned ... Rafe finishes from New York and stares him down. Nick smiles yes and Rafe goes on his way. Gabi gushes her brother is giving him a chance and throws her arms around Nick. - EJ is on his phone at the mansion, making honeymoon plans at a villa in lieu of a hotel suite. Naturally he will be needing to see some photographs of the villa. He saunters into the living room, certain Samantha will love the idea. Seconds later, a green envelope is slid under the front door. - Hope and Aiden track the blue blood philanthropist down at the town square and Hope asks why she cannot attend the auction. The elegant society lady with the Euro accent admits her husband has left her for a younger woman and she does not wish to attend alone or to be the subject of gossip. When she gets a call from her personal secretary, Hope and Aiden mull over who could be her date for the function to motivate her to come. Aiden! - JJ complains to Paige about Dan the man being drugged and wrongly accused of getting high before the OR. He is convinced it was the doing of a girl he rejected. The text was from his mom about his hearing tomorrow. The burden of proof rests entirely on Dan to prove he is no drug addict. Paige is perplexed. JJ blames himself. The girl with the wavy hair is sympathetic. JJ feels for Daniel. It is so unfair! Paige insists he stop blaming himself. Dr. Jonas is probably proud of him for turning his life around. She puts her hand on his shoulder and calls him one of the good guys. - Nick now proceeds to tell Gabi that a custody agreement might not be a bad idea, to get things clearly defined and avoid any further problems. Gabi agrees and points out Justin is a nice lawyer she knows. Nick notes he is also Sonny's father and might therefore not wish to get involved. He smoothly offers to come up with another name and promises her it will all work out. Then he kisses her again. - Rafe runs into Sami outside the pub and she can see something is bothering him. He informs her of the unpleasant eyeful he got of Gabi making out with that creep Nick Fallon. Sami teases he must have wanted to hit him. He did but controlled the urge - this time. Sami exclaims he actually punched Nick and she did not know about it?! Rafe reminds her he had wanted to speak with her. She would have found out about the punch if she had not dispatched EJ in her place! - EJ gets a call about a meeting and walks right past the envelope, totally oblivious ... - Aiden would like to convince the blue blood to attend the gala and offers to escort her so they can enjoy themselves and she can stick it to her ex. She rather likes the idea of sticking it to her ex and announces she has a better idea, smiling at Hope, who is standing nearby ... Aiden approaches Hope, who explains the whole town knows she is not gay so it will not work. She then grudgingly goes to speak to the woman. Roman approaches Aiden to discuss an evidence request. He assumes he is just hanging around the square killing time. Aiden corrects him. He and Hope are working on the gala. Roman is amused and wonders how it is going. Aiden will let him know. Nearby Hope is surprised when the blue blood gazes at Roman and announces she wants her to arrange for her to go out with HIM! - JJ tells perplexed Paige the tale of the terrible temptress, how they did drugs and wanted to break up his mom and Dan once upon a time. Paige wonders why. He was tormented by the very thought of his mother with someone other than his late father. He regrets his actions against Daniel and also teaming up with the arch enemy of his innocent mother. Paige says wow. JJ explains then one night the temptress overdosed so he summoned Dan to save her. And he did. Then he covered for him so he would not be sent to jail. Paige calls the medicine man a hero. JJ is not done yet. He adds the girl made moves on Daniel after that night, but he rejected her advances again and that is why she must have retaliated by drugging him on the job. - Abigail meets smiling Nick at the club, as he wants to talk to her. She notices his bloodied lip and he lies he bumped into the door at night. The reason for this meeting is that he needs a lawyer. Abigail gets worried. Why and what kind? A good one! - Gabi gets home to the apartment with her new attitude. Will is back from his outing, the baby is back in her room. He thinks he was wrong to drop the custody issue on Gabi and laments he blew it. Gabi haughty agrees he sure did. - Sami insists she wanted to come but she had already irritated Gabi and it was best she not talk about her. Rafe senses EJ was sent to keep the secret she might have let spill. Rafe has spoken to Will and is aware there is something. Sami will not say, but insists Rafe did the right thing by acting nice with Nick after he hit him. Rafe slyly states Sami is protecting herself and also Gabi cos Nick has them dancing to his tune! Sami bites her lip. - Gabi goes all diva on Will. First his mother called her unfit, then Will wanted a custody agreement! However, she now realizes it is probably a good thing. Will assumes Rafe made her see the light. She quips it was Nick. Will grimaces. - Nick loudly slurps his club coffee and assures Abigail the lawyer is not for him. He is especially interested in the lawyer who helped JJ. He seeks his name. Abigail suspects this is for Gabi. Nick would rather not deal with a lecture. Abigail just hopes he knows what he is doing. He cockily claims he knows exactly what he is doing ... - Sami stammers no worries, she will not stand by the sidelines if Gabi gets herself into a bad situation. Rafe snaps they are beyond that, it is already bad, but Sami mumbles it could be worse and takes off before he can get a straight answer.. - Tall EJ is now preoccupied with his ipad, walking around the mansion, thoughts of work and wedding bliss on his mind as he passes the green envelope on the foyer floor yet again. Ominous music plays. - Hope approaches Roman, who cracks jokes about Gisele the blue blood nightmare. He already knows she has the hots for him and takes off. Hope sighs he wants nothing to do with the woman. So much for that plan. Aiden thinks things are getting worse by the minute. - JJ gushes and blushes cos pretty Paige thinks he is a good guy. Her phone rings with a text summoning her home. And so she goes. At the door, they agree to see each other at school, then she turns back and they share their first sweet kiss. - Rafe is at his computer, doing a EWE search of Nick Fallon in New York. He is a patient man. - Will is shocked it was actually Nick who convinced Gabi that a custody agreement was a good idea. Gabi confirms it and boasts he is not the bad guy Will, Sonny, and Sami make him out to be. Will patietly reminds the brainwashed girl that Nick could put them all in prison. She insists he does not want that and goes to the crying baby. Will wonders what Nick's agenda is this time ... - Abigail gets uncomfortable as Nick sounds rather scary! He smiles not scary, he merely wants her to see how much Gabi means to him, though the decision of whether they end up together is entirely up to her. He now asks Abigail about her own love life, the fact that she has been on the sidelines since Chad. She diverts her gaze and flashes back to her shower tryst once upon a time with EJ. Back to reality. She sweetly suggests sometimes the sidelines are a good place to be ... - At DiMera mansion, Sami comes up behind EJ and kisses him, her arms around him as he remains seated on the sofa. He wonders wot is the matter. She updates him on trying to talk Rafe out of getting involved in the tangled mess of Nick Fallon, then notices the envelope in the foyer. A few steps later, she picks it up. Might be about their wedding. EJ watches as she opens the flap with a sweep of the hand ... Monday April 21 on Days of Our Lives The picture of EJ and Abigail wreaks havoc at the mansion. Sami and EJ have it out and she cannot believe his betrayal. Words are spoken. Push comes to shove.
