Friday April 11, 2014 Episode 12,315 - Sami is stylish in her vibrant blue dress as she and EJ and Gabi admire the girl’s modeling pictures at the mansion. They offer her a modeling trip to Buenos Ares with a hefty payment, as per the client’s request. Sami smiles and hands her the offer. She can be there for 2 weeks. Gabi gasps oh my God! She is elated but a little anxious about promoting the products. Sami and EJ add she would need to know Spanish. She does indeed and even reads the Spanish contract out loud. Sami claims they wanted her specifically and it was their idea. Gabi gushes she has to thank Nick for making her dream come true. Sami tensely tells her Nick had nothing to do with it. EJ tries to keep the peace. Sami brings up Nick’s blackmail. Gabi thinks he deserves a second chance. Sami quips he is manipulating her. EJ calmly assures Samantha he knows Gabriella understands wot is at stake. She does indeed and says so. Sami has to get going, tells Gabi she is happy for her, kisses and quietly thanks EJ, and departs. - At the pub, Nick obsesses over almost making out with Gabi. Julie arrives with her usual fanfare and a kiss, back from another lengthy cruise. She sparkles and notes Nick has a pretty little gift box on the table. Tis for Will and Sonny. Julie is surprised to find out Nick did not attend the wedding and loudly wonders. He stammers he was actually not invited. Julie opens her mouth in melodramatic horror. They included that dreadful Theresa and yet not him! Nick sips his coffee and claims he understands. Julie considers it a huge insult. Nick disagrees. She dramatically declares if Will and Sonny had experienced what Nick did, surely they would have shown some compassion. Nick notes it was their day, though. Julie starts to do the math. Will is not one to hold a grudge so this must have been the doing of that Sami! She decides to confront the cold hearted one about it. Nick grins he would rather focus on the now. Work is good. Julie cackles he must be making Kate millions. Perhaps but things are going well with Gabi too … His voice trails off. Julie is none too pleased to find out the pair have been spending time together and urges him to stay away from the girl. She spells TROUBLE! Nick refuses to heed her warning, however. Gabi is verrrrry important to him. - At the nurse's station, concerned Eric asks Maxine when they will know what ails Dan. Dr. Kayla walks by, on her way to see him and is not forthcoming. A junior nurse gossips to Maxine that Dan has probably always been high. Maxine retorts to shut her mouth. Theresa takes it all in. Maxine gets on the phone for confirmation of that damning report from the lab. She gets it and complains to Eric that Dan tested positive. She intends to request another test and walks off. Eric sadly stares. Theresa shows herself and proceeds to act aghast that Dan dared to operate while high. - In the lounge, Jen snaps at HR Anne to have compassion. Madame Milbauer snaps the hospital should fire his sorry rear end! She checks the hospital policies and points out there have been two clear violations in this case. He must therefore be suspended for abusing prescription drugs and also operating while under the influence. Jen insists Dan is innocent as chief-of-staff Kayla enters. Jen begs her to tell her that this is not happening. Anne demands he be suspended effective immediately - pending an investigation. Kayla laments Anne was right. Dan must be suspended as they investigate. Dan understands but Jen seeks their cooperation to save his reputation. Kayla assures him they will work it out soon. He hopes so and unhappily hands her his hospital ID. Anne gives him a triumphant look. Jen sorrowfully stands by her man. Dan is dismayed. Anne lectures him. He jumps to his feet, claims his innocence, then starts to fall. Jen and Kayla catch him. Maxine comes to assist as he is taken for further testing. Madame Milbauer keeps going with her accusations until Kayla shouts back at her to cut it out. Meanwhile Eric advises Theresa the gossip not to jump to any conclusions. He suspects Dan was drugged by someone and intends to go check on his friend, see Jennifer, then update Nicole in that order. Once alone, Theresa nervously flashes back to dangling Dan’s apartment key to Liam. She sighs he does not mess around ... - Liam the loon runs into Nicole at the elevator on Daniel’s floor. She demands to know why he is there. He peers at her with guilty eyes. He then regains his fake composure and pleasantly asks if she is following a story. Nicole wants an answer to her question. He makes a joke about her acting like she is investigating him. Still she waits. Liam explains other medical professionals reside here and he made a house call for a certain good looking lady doctor. He trusts Nicole will not repeat anything about their clandestine relationship, given the gossip that could come as a result. It is a matter of privacy is all, rather like Nicole wanting her privacy the other night, when she was clearly doing something she did not want anyone to know about! He finishes with a grin. Nicole gulps. - Jen stands dutifully at Dan’s hospital bed and Maxine reassures him. Kayla enters with the news she has ordered a retest and complete tox-screen. Dan is told to rest. He groans he will do his best. Once they are alone, Jen wants to go over what Dan did after he woke up today, on her quest for clues.. He showered, dressed, and made his protein drink. Jen adds he had coffee. They discuss the medical team getting his permission to search his home. Dan senses the coffee was not the problem, as the hospital is too public. Jen now realizes he suspects someone set out to destroy him. Anne was so smug! Daniel now asks about Theresa’s whereabouts. Jen insists they will find the culprit and they will not get away with this! She now goes to join the medical investigative team at his apartment, with her medicine man’s blessing. - Nicole goes silent. Liam craftily suggests she was on assignment when he saw her at her roadside stop. She smiles she is on assignment now and so he charmingly leaves via the elevator. Nicole now knocks on the door, seeking Dan. No answer. Instead she gets an urgent text from Eric about Dan at the hospital and is on her way! - Julie reminds Nick of his unhappy past with Gabi and her terrible treatment of him. He believed he had found his salvation, but she morphed into a nightmare. Nick insists that was not Gabi’s fault. Besides they are cool again. Enter Sami in her blues dress. Julie stands up and announces she has a bone to pick with her! - Jen runs into Eric outside Dan's room. He would like to help his friend and so she asks him to accompany her to Dan the man’s place while the team searches for clues. Maxine is still depressed at the nurse’s station. Abe invites her for a bite to eat, to get her mind off the situation while they wait for something. Maxine thinks she is too down. Boss lady Kayla tells her to go, given she worked the whole night shift. She could use a break! Abe grins those are doctor’s orders and they depart together. - Anne and Theresa discuss the latest. Theresa does not believe Dan is a true druggie. Anne hopes she was not the one who drugged him. Theresa insists she is innocent. Anne adds Jennifer will be looking for suspects, which means they both need to be on high alert. - EJ charmingly offers to arrange for Gabriella’s required video later in the afternoon. Gabi gushes her thanks to him and Sami. EJ approves that she and Sami ended on a warm note. Gabi knows she does mean well. EJ explains she is just concerned Nick might hurt her ... Gabi hastily excuses herself and pushes the baby stroller out, diverting her gaze. EJ senses something. - Sami sits with Julie and Nick as Julie accuses her of keeping Nick out of the wedding. She lists all the second chances Sami has gotten. Sami suggests Nick has gotten more than he asked for since coming back to town. Julie quips he deserved it. Sami quips one day she hopes he gets exactly what he deserves! Nick raises his eyebrows. - At Dan's apartment, Eric and Jen are standing together as the medical search team asks about prescriptions. Jumpy Jen suggests they look in the medicine cabinet. The jug of orange juice is seen in the background as Jen and Eric talk suspects. Theresa’s name comes up. Eric asks if Theresa has ever done anything against her. Jennifer will only say it is complicated. There was also a blackmail scheme she would rather not discuss. Anne and Theresa therefore remain a question. - Liam is at the nurse’s station asking Anne about the rumors. Theresa appears in the background in her little black dress. Anne calls Dan a weasel who does not measure up to his fake clean image. Liam feigns moralistic shock. - At the town square café, Maxine has a tall glass of iced tea as she shares her thoughts with Abe. Dan made her job fun and now she is so worried about him. She quietly cries, then worries about Jen. Dan used to call her their biggest cheerleader. She laughs who could not be. Abe is bemused. Maxine thanks him for making her feel better with lunch and the support. It was his pleasure, says he. - Kayla updates patient Dan on the coffee pot testing negative, as well as his coffee cup. The medical investigators are at his place as they speak. He insists he did not drug himself. She believes him, promises to get to the bottom of this, and goes. Dan takes a deep stressed breath. Nicole arrives outside his room and ignores the sign stating no visitors. She walks in. Dan’s eyes are closed, his face still sweating. Nicole gives him a sympathetic look, her heart breaking for her faithful friend. - Flighty Julie has had enough fun and really must go. She embraces Nick, advises him not to let Sami stomp on him, and goes. Sami gets sarcastic about him playing her. Nick makes light of it and stands up to go. Sami looks down, immediately recognizing his shoes. He was alone with Gabi and now she knows! He bids her a good day, unaware of her deduction, and departs. Sami mutters about the bastard, sticks out her chin, and storms off for a showdown. - PR Jen is back at the hospital, advising a reporter to wait with the press release. He assumes evidence is being gathered against Dr. Jonas. Jen sighs no, but they will need some more time. The petulant man of the press goes to call his producer. Liam slinks in and behaves in a sweet sympathetic manner. Sometimes doctors can take the wrong medication, given the stress of the job ... - Eric sits at Theresa’s pub table and she assures him she is not going to gossip about Dan anymore. It is just so sad. Eric now suggests Theresa could be a suspect, as well as her boss, given her history with Dan and Jen. Theresa tells him it should be easy to prove if Dan is innocent. She thinks it is no big deal. Eric thinks it is as someone drugged him. Theresa gets testy and loudly protests she was not involved. Eric peers at her, puzzled. - Dan wakes up and Nicole wonders what happened. He laments he was drugged by someone and it was deliberate! - EJ is elegantly reading his newspaper at the club. Enter Nick with a greeting. EJ sounds almost pained as he addresses Mr. Fallon. Nick is holding a gift for Will and Sonny. EJ notices and sarcastically states wot a thoughtful man he is, though the motive is transparent. Nick asks about that. EJ concludes he is trying to impress Gabriella. Nick sits and leers he does not give a damn what he thinks. However, he had better keep that feisty fiancee of his on a leash! - Gabi opens her door to hurricane Sami, who rages at her for being the same selfish lying beeech she has always been. Pause. Gabi slaps her across the face. Hard. Sami wipes her face and gets a wild look in her eye ... - Theresa insists she is innocent! Eric warns her she had better come clean if she knows anything ... - Jen insists her Dan does not do drugs. Liam points out doctors get free samples a lot and sometimes they demand too much of themselves, only to start depending on them. Jen knows Daniel. Liam asks if she knows him as well as she really thinks. Jen blinks. - Nicole learns that Dan's system was full of a painkiller. The coffee tested negative and the only other thing he ingested was the protein drink at his apartment. What could have happened? Nicole now remembers running into Liam outside his apartment. Dan perceives her distant gaze and wonders what is the matter. Nicole pauses, pondering the best way to proceed ... THE END |
