Episode 12,055 - Sami visits Father Eric as he works on his Easter sermon. She will be at the mass. Nicole enters, asking about Vargas, then stops and bids Sami a happy Easter. Sami would like to know about this Vargas character. Eric stands up and quietly explains he was just released from Statesville and he is helping him out. Sami questions the safety of the situation. Nicole admits she initially thought the same but changed her mind. Eric gets a call and must step away. Sami, her hair demurely swept back, her jewelry high class, calls Nicole too obvious. The two women in black face off. Sami thinks she knows what she is really after! Nicole flashes back to her passionate Eric dream, then decides she must get back to work in her tight black mini. Sami accuses her of having a false halo. No one will forgive her all her sins, especially the one that involved Jen. - Vargas says a cool hello to his boy Nikki, clasping his big wrench. He grins he looks pale. Nick stammers but how ... Vargas leers he got out in time for April Fools! Nick nervously dances around their illustrious past. Vargas reminds him he made him do time longer. Nick insists it was a mistake. Vargas states he agreed to overlook it but they had a deal. Nick reminds him he is on parole and they should not be seen together. Vargas taunts him about his hot bride with the baby bump. Nick gasps to stay away from her. Vargas raises his big wrench and mutters that was the wrong thing to say! Nick stammers he is sorry but his wife has been through hell and they have a baby on the way. Vargas does not give a damn and remains focused on their deal. He sits on the bench and chuckles he is a handyman at the church. But they have far bigger plans in store! He decides to get back to work for now and advises Nick to wait. He will be in touch when the time is right. Nick gasps. - At DiMera mansion, sophisticated EJ sits casually by the fireplace, clad in his stylish purple sweater as he receives William. EJ gets right down to business with the young man. His motha already updated him. "You want Nick Fallon taken care of!" Will readily agrees. EJ points out if he wants a favor from fatha, there can be no ambiguity. The deed shall be irrevocable. Will explains Stefano was his final option as he refuses to be shut out of his daughter’s life. EJ is sympathetic. Will lets his guard down. Would Stefano expect some sort of payment from him? EJ smiles and admits reading fatha is not his forte, though he may be sympathetic to his cause. The fireplace glowing behind him, he wonders what changed his mind. Will takes a deep breath. He hopes they are still friends. EJ assures him they are. Will has something to share and asks him not to tell his mom, who might make things worse. "Please." EJ gives him his word to keep his silence. He shall respect his secret. Will now informs him that the real reason Nick forced him to sign the papers was that he wanted him out of his daughter’s life because he is gay. He even used the F word against Sonny. EJ is deeply sorry. Will laments he cannot even tell Gabi. EJ realizes Nick would retaliate by exposing those close to him. He places his hand on Will’s shoulder and dramatically declares he will be a wonderful father. He and his own fatha shall take care of everything! - Stefano greets glamorous Katherine at the town square. Rafe stands by Kate’s side and drawls he is back. Stefano notes he seems to have interrupted a private conversation. Kate defiantly declares he did! She was talking Gabi’s baby with Rafe. Rafe praises her for the spa day and saunters off. Kate had assumed she would not have to lay eyes on Stefano again. The phoenix, however, wants her to meet someone. An Asian beauty appears. He introduces his most recent wife to new love interest Cecily. Kate quips their marital situation was remedied, hopes the new girl will not have to suffer the same fate, bids them ciao, and waltzes off. Stefano knowingly bids her ciao as well. - Anne has a bottle to celebrate with Chloe at the apartment, but sultry Chloe is not sure she should be celebrating. Dan is with Jen now and she is worried. Meanwhile Dan has spring flowers for Jen and she whispers to come into her house. He happily does, assuming love is in the air. She sighs and he wonders what has happened. She had a visitor who just left. Who? She stares up at him with her pale blue eyes, then replies Lucas was there. Dan is sorry if he upset her and hugs her warmly. Jen takes the flowers and babbles about getting them water. She is curious if he has spoken with Chloe. Not yet, though he will let her know they are together and no one is going to come between them. Jen touches her forehead with a feeble hand. Dan asks what is the matter. She sadly states there is no easy way to do this and shakes her blonde head. Things are moving too fast. Dan assures her Chloe will not be an issue. Jen praises him, but then suddenly blurts out she is not ready for their relationship. Not now, not ever! Dan simply does not believe Jen. He senses there is something she is not saying. He concludes Chloe got to her and demands to know what she has done this time. - Vargas goes back to the rectory in time to overhear Sami blasting Nicole for her past misdeeds. Nicole thinks she should not be so judgmental. Sami refuses to believe her sister act and questions whether she should even be there. And if she hurts her brother, she will make her pay! Exit Sami. Nicole looks ready to cry. Vargas appears and hopes she is okay. She is. He overheard what Sami said. Nicole admits they have a history. Vargas is curious who she is. Nicole explains she is Eric’s twin. He notes she is not the spiritual one. Nicole wonders how much he heard. That Nicole lost her baby and for that he is sorry. When did it happen? Nicole woefully replies a few months ago and she was almost to term. He is sorry. She thanks him. He wonders what Sami meant that she was trying to blame her loss on someone else. Nicole admits she wrongly lied about someone trying to hurt her and her baby. It was the worst mistake she ever made. Vargas lets Nicole know he is in no position to judge. No one would be in their right state of mind after losing a child. Nicole admits she was shattered, though she did take responsibility for her lie. Vargas can see her loss still hurts. She whispers it does every day, all day. Father Eric returns to the office. "Everything okay?" Nicole smiles. Of course. Vargas pleasantly remarks he found a good place that sells used tools and gets back to work. Eric asks Nicole to tell him what Sami said that got her so upset. She concedes she was upset, though it was not his sister’s fault. Eric is baffled. Nicole praises Vargas for making her feel better. A nun interrupts with the news that a number of urgent emails have come in. Eric is on it. Nicole excuses herself with the good sister, gives Eric a longing look, and departs. Eric sits down at his computer and then stares in horror. Ominous music is heard. - At the town square café, Anne has just learned from Chloe that she sent her mother and son to Brazil and intends to join them if she does not get what she wants. Anne thinks she is taking a big chance. What if Jen tells Dan the whole story? Chloe muses no one is listed as Parker’s father so Daniel technically has no legal rights. Anne sips her coffee and praises her nerve. - Kate rejoins Rafe by the pretty blossoms outside the pub and he asks if Stefano suspects they are lovers. Kate fears he always suspects and so they must be careful! She does not want anything to happen to him. Nick comes around the corner and stops. Kate and Rafe notice him creeping away and want a word. He thinks it is not a good time but Rafe insists he make it a good time. They want answers. - Elegant Sami finds EJ with Will and hopes everything is alright. She kisses EJ, who explains they were discussing William making a deal with powerful Stefano and what would be involved. They are now ready to get things started. Enter the phoenix ...!
