Previously on SOAP SINS - By the time she was ushered into the high class Beverly Hills hospital, Dakota was screaming every 5 minutes. She refused any meds and soon found herself in a room with a tanned doctor who had more medical qualifications than a news program expert. But the nurses were more attentive. Dakota pushed and pushed until a small baby girl with naturally blonde hair and blue eyes emerged. - "Marilyn," she gasped with emotion. "I'm going to name her Marilyn." - The baby was placed in her arms and she smiled a mother’s smile when all of a sudden ... - "Hello doll." - Dakota’s eyes widened in disbelief. "IT’S YOU!" The story now continues ... - Dakota blinked through her tears. Hubby Nicky was out of his coma, standing right before her fully dressed in designer duds, and he was very real! Dakota thanked the soap Gods. He was wearing his Prada belt. - Arthur the assistant looked the intruder up and down. “And you are …?” - “The husband. Mr. Dakota Diamonelle.” - Dakota let out a giggle. So did baby Marilyn. - The happily reunited couple shared a romantic kiss and smiled for their close-up. The next few days were spent settling in, hiring a nanny, and getting reacquainted. Nicky had not forgotten anything in his coma. Well, except the fact that he had been a prime time television star. He had no recollection of those days. Dakota didn’t mind. She had plenty of ego for the both of them … - After a week of maternity leave - who said soap stars were lazy - Dakota was back on set. It was a tough time as the lead young actor/actress supercouple had quit due to the fact that they hated each other. Dakota held an intense meeting with the writers, to pressure them to come up with something new and different for the remaining couples. When the meeting was over and they had all scurried off to have lunch and discuss their ideas, a familiar face appeared. - “Tis I, the new vuncle!” - “Dragos,” she laughed, giving her half-brother a Hollywood hug. “Dare I ask what a vuncle is?” - “Vampire uncle, of course.” - “Can you come to the house tonight to see your new niece Marilyn? I think she’s ready now.” - “You know I can never resist a night invite.” - “But promise to use the front door, not the window.” - He bowed charmingly, a roguish glint in his eye, and agreed. Once the brother in black had gone, the secretary returned with the coffee for the writers meeting, too late like usual. “Dragos always makes me swoon! He’s so gorgeous, when are you gonna get him back on the air?” - Dakota raised a perfectly arched eyebrow. “Now there’s an idea …” - That night the moon seemed low over the Hollywood Hills. After dinner, Dragos admired the sleeping baby in her designer crib and thanked the couple for their hospitality. Nicky insisted he stay a while and went whistling off to do another crossword puzzle. That was when Dakota dared broach the subject of a return to daytime. - Dragos smirked and took another sip of his red wine. “I didn’t realize I’d left.” - “I want you to come back as the new generation of a villainous clan.” - “Ah, I get it. You’re still smarting from the young villain who quit.” - “You would get a contract.” - “That sounds restricting.” - “Your own dressing room.” - “More restricting.” - Dakota pouted her cherry red lips. “Too bad. You would have made such a good couple with Lillian.” - Dragos put his empty wine glass on the Italian glass coffee table. “You mean Lillian the loon?” - “Yes. Her character may be a loon but television audiences always forgive a blonde.” - “And there would be hot love scenes … between me and Lillian the loon?” - “Well it’s a soap, isn’t it!” - Dragos grinned devilishly.”Then count me in.
