| Soap Sins April 24, 2013 CHAPTER 56 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! When Danger Calls Previously on SOAP SINS - "Ms. Diamonelle, this is Harold Huff of Huff and Puff Law Associates in Las Vegas. I am calling to inform you that my new client was accused of drunken and disorderly conduct at the casino." - "And I should care because ...?" - "The individual is a family member of yours." - Dakota's famous red lips frowned slightly. "I thought my husband was camping up north. You mean to tell me he was arrested for drunken and disorderly conduct at a casino in Vegas?!" - "Er, no,not your husband. It was your ten year old son Christopher. Now, about my fees ..." The story now continues ... - Dakota was in soap heaven. She flipped her hair and smiled as the leading man leaned across the table for their first kiss. She could almost hear the fireworks going off all around them as the exquisite necklace around her slim neck sparkled almost as brightly as her eyes. This was romance at its finest. - "Cut!" The director cleared his throat and said it again. "Cut! That’s a wrap." - Back to reality. The hunky leading man/show historian grinned in his usual suave manner and stood up from their restaurant table somewhere in Paris. "Gotta get home to fix the back porch." And then he was gone. So much for Paris. - Dakota sighed. She had never been the kind of soap diva to cheat, but things had become strained between herself and her prime time husband ever since ... - "Can I open them now?" - She turned toward the ten-year-old boy who was sitting on a stool by the assistant director, his hands covering his eyes. Christopher hated the kissing scenes. - "Yes, you can open them now." - As mother and son later walked out to the studio parking lot, he proceeded to argue why he should not have to accompany her to the studio every day. She reminded him he had gotten himself into a pickle in Vegas when accused of drunken and disorderly conduct and that was the agreement she had made with the judge - that she not let him out of her sight. - Christopher wondered when Nick the prime time stepfather would be coming back from his holiday. "I heard you talking to him on the phone last night." - "You did?" - "Yup and I know he’s in that place called Rehab. Where is Rehab? I couldn't find it on the map. Is it like Disneyland?" - They pulled out onto the palm tree lined street and she cranked up the music to avoid any more difficult questions. But when they turned onto Hollywood Boulevard, a familiar figure suddenly sat up in the back seat. "Greetings." - "Uncle Dragos!" Christopher was pumped. - Dakota was not amused and turned off the music. "When did you fly in?" - Dragos grinned at the vampire wisecrack. She wondered whether he was in hiding. He assured her he was not. "But you should drive to a hotel from here, preferably one outside L.A." - Dakota told Christopher to cover his ears. "What the hell is going on?" She had always wanted to say that line. - Dragos lowered his voice. "They now have a suspect who is wanted in the shooting of Chip, your executive producer." - She peered at him from the mirror. "Who?" - He peered back at her with his dark intense eyes. "Me and I have no intention of going quietly into the night! Just keep driving and act as natural as possible ... |
