Soap Sins Tuesday, May 22, 2012 CHAPTER 35 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! CAT FIGHT! Previously on SOAP SINS Just then the lights went out. When they came back on a few seconds later, the big Samoan was lying in a pool of blood, with Brent the blonde surfer dude standing next to him, a carving knife in hand. The Brazilian model screamed. Dakota dropped her glass, which shattered on the floor into tiny pieces. Did she really know Brent the blonde surfer dude as well as she thought she had ...? The story now continues ... - Dakota started to rush forward, to insist on her flunky's innocence, but Nick stopped her, whispering "I've got a wild hunch." - Storm the bad guy clapped his hands. The big Samoan stood up and wiped the fake blood from his shirt. The guests all applauded, assuming Brent too had been part of the show. He played along and gave back the knife to the Brazilian model who had shoved it in his hands when the lights went out. - Dakota heard her iphone beep and glanced down at the incoming message. It was from the African Queen. She had sent her a photo along with one word only. ASSASSIN. It was a picture of the Brazilian model. - She quietly showed it to Nick so he did the only thing he knew how to do when trying to divert the attention of a female assassin. He asked her to dance. As they tore up the dance floor, Dakota motioned for Brent to wait for her outside. He nodded and stepped out of the party room into the hall. Dakota now smiled and approached the big Samoan, who, naturally, was at his boss' side, protecting him. "That was amazing! Even better than a soap opera!" - She knew from the blank look on Storm's face that he had no idea who she was or that he resembled Chip the producer, which was why one of his enemies had mistakenly blown up their studio. The bad guy, it seemed, had no knowledge or interest in daytime television. All the more reason to bring him down! - The Samoan, on the other hand, was a huge soap fan. He knew exactly who she was and asked for an autograph. Dakota said she would be needing a pen. The big Samoan, who normally never had any reason to read or write, asked the boss if he had one. The soap star sighting had clearly distracted him. - Storm sighed and pulled a gold pen from his pocket. "Make it quick!" he snapped. "The plane leaves in an hour." - Dakota knew this was not good. When a villain wanted to escape the country forever, it was always by plane and there was always a final party. This was the last chance they would ever have to stop the Interpol agent who had betrayed his organization by becoming a dangerous black market dealer of diamonds. If the buck did not stop here, then he would go on the lam, and his enemies would continue to mistake Chip the soap producer for him. Their entire show would be in danger, which meant a fate far worse than death. Cancellation! - The Samoan handed her the gold pen. Dakota signed his hankie and then stepped toward Storm, her eyes widening innocently. "Would you like an autograph, too?" - He shook his head. She gave him back the pen and watched as he turned and walked away. The Samoan followed. Nick was still keeping the Brazilian model/assassin busy by dancing with her. Dakota stepped out into the quiet hall, where Brent was waiting. She pulled the bad guy's iphone from under her wide, snakeskin belt and handed it to him. "Take this to Waikiki Wanda at Interpol." She gave him the address. - Brent the blonde surfer dude was impressed. "No way! You picked the chump's pocket!" He then wondered whether she would be coming with him. - Dakota smoothed down her designer belt. "Not yet. I've got a cat fight waiting for me." - "Awesome." - She turned and walked back into the party. Nick was getting himself and his dance partner a drink from the bar. Dakota spied the Brazilian model walking towards her. She smirked. - The model/assassin smirked right back. "I remember you from the old days ..." |
