I was abducted on my way to my wedding by my exasperating ex, only to meet my end in a dense forest by a dense undead Charlie Dale!" - Charlie's eyes flicker, for he has never been able to endure an insult to his intelligence. "Who the heck are you calling dense! You and your cousin or niece or whatever Claire is are the same. She underestimated me too!" - Ben calmly steps forward. "Don’t forget your mother the mob princess. She thought you were very dense." - Charlie lets out a war cry as an owl hoots. In the blink of an eye Ben grabs the gun and then frowns. "It's a water pistol." - "I'm not real," Charlie leers. "Here's the deal. Nothing has been real since you crashed into this ravine of no return but it's not too late. You can still go back and save the love of your life." - "He's lying," Ciara snaps. "Just like he lied to Claire. She was too stylish for him anyway." - Ben shakes his head. Charlie laughs like a loon and vanishes, but his voice lingers to leave a reveal. "If you get through your hero's journey you get the girl but if you fail, she dies for real." - "I am alive, you idiot!" Ciara exclaims. The ravine suddenly becomes misty, and Ben reaches for his beloved. Alas he cannot find her hand. - The mist clears and he finds himself face to face with the legendary Bo Brady. "I must really be dead," he sighs. - Bo shakes his head. "No and Ciara is closer than you think but she needs you to fulfill your hero's journey." - "Tell me what I have to do.” Ben replies. "I would move heaven and earth for the woman I love." He blinks and realizes his famous father-in-law is no longer there. - "Ciaraaaaaaaaa!" Ben howls. The ravine starts to rain. - Far away medicine woman Marlena sadly tends to a patient. "Sleeping beauty needs her prince charming to wake her up but first he has to wake up himself. Believe in yourself, Ben." - Back in the ravine of no return, soaked Ben decides to backtrack in case he may have missed a clue. He comes across Ciara's veil hanging on a branch. It is dry despite the rain and our hero starts to realize what is really happening ... STAY TUNED! |
