Chauffeur Ben looks in the mirror, replies they are not going to the church, and wishes Ciara happy anniversary with a roguish grin. Then Days of Our Lives gets pre-empted by the Olympics so no one sees Ben or Ciara for two weeks. But what really happens during those two weeks ... - Ciara demands Ben let her out of the car. He chuckles not until they get to the cabin where their love story started cos that is where she will get her memory back. She threatens to scream as he drives on the country road outside Salem, not another car in sight. He puts his pedal to the metal. The stylish wedding gloves are off! Ciara grabs him from behind and the chauffeur’s hat falls over his eyes as they struggle. Seconds later the swanky car swerves off the road into a dark ravine. It passes angry birds, snapping branches and rattling the Rolls-Royce occupants until it comes to a stop. Ben turns back and sees Ciara slumped back in her seat, her face smeared with red. - "Oh my God, my beloved is bleeding!" he exclaims and gets to her side as fast as humanly possible. - Ciara’s expressive eyes fly open. "Lady danger coral-red Mac lipstick is NOT blood. Haven’t you ever seen smeared lipstick before?" She rubs it off with her white glove and sighs. "Where the heck are we anyway?" - Ben tenderly takes her small hand in his large one. "Don’t worry. I will protect you. Always." - With a scoff, she starts to open her door. "FYI I'm not holding out for a hero. Matter of fact right now I am royally p ..." - The luxury car suddenly shakes. Ben glances to the left and sees smoke. When he looks to the right there is fire. He kicks the back window and pulls out his protesting passenger. The flame and smoke vanish in seconds. But the car is also gone. - Ciara soap stares. "What in the world was that?!" - Ben shakes his head, still holding her hand. "I've heard of this place before. They call it the ravine of no return." - "And you two will never leave alive!" leers a familiar twisted face. "Don't look so surprised. Rumors of my death were grossly exaggerated ..." - Ben meets his stare. "Charlie Dale." - And so it begins. STAY TUNED! |
