But Belle believes it is the opportunity of a lifetime. Shawn soap sighs and is hurt she did not talk to him before accepting. Belle has something more in mind ... In the slammer, Orpheus declares he despises the smug people of Salem. Cellmate Clyde shares the same sentiment. Orpheus leers he plans to kill Roman Brady for killing his wife Rebecca all those years ago. And then he will kill John and Marlena ... Meanwhile John has been night jogging at the park with Paul. Father and son are in fine form. Muscles ripple. John is relieved his son wants to remain a private investigator at his father's firm, for he feels there is more good to be done in the world ... At the hospital Brady has agreed to meet Victor, assuming he is about to confess to the tatenapping. On the contrary. The Greek called the meeting to prove his innocence. Brady grimaces ... At the square Kate sees Theresa with her baby. Theresa blasts her for what she did. Kate worriedly waits for her to elaborate. She does. Theresa rages she gossiped behind her back in the fashion world and belittled her efforts. Kate smiles in relief and looks down at the baby as Theresa takes a work call. Unlike with others, Tate does not cry. He observes the diva with dread ... Belle gushes Claire assumed he would go with her and she does want her folks together. Shawn frowns he did not want a fresh start somewhere else, their fresh start was supposed to be in Salem. He is rather stubborn about it ... Victor tells Brady a tall tale about Titus the drug dealer being the real tatenapper. Poor Brady the unsuspecting hunk has no idea he is being hoodwinked. He demands to see the creep and so Victor obliges. But things are not as they seem ... Kate flashes back to having Tate to herself, informing the resting baby he would be well looked after by Lauren. She hated taking him but had to for a wee while ... Theresa gets off her stressful work call and suspiciously eyes Kate, noting her son is not crying even though he hardly knows her.Kate forces a smile ... Amid the tears, Belle tells Shawn she is committed to doing something good like changing DiMera Enterprises into a legit organization. The implications are far reaching. She now gets a call from Chad. Something has evidently come up and she leaves tonight for that whole year. It is all very last minute and the legal eagle is up for the challenge but not Shawn ... Victor has taken Brady to the morgue and the body bag of Titus is unzipped. Victor explains he attacked him so his bodyguard Stavros was forced to react. Then Titus pulled a gun so Stavros took him down in his usual manner. Brady seems satisfied ... Back in the slammer Xander paces like a caged animal. Clyde tries to make small talk with the black sheep Kiriakis. Clyde wonders what is on his mind and laughs when Xander leers little beeches. Clyde wonders which ones cos Salem is full of them. The Greek growls Nicole and Theresa ... Kate claims she is happy Theresa has her baby back and sweetly sweeps away. Theresa coos at her infant son ... Shawn realizes Belle must take the job. When she comes back they shall see ... Orpheus joins his fellow furious prisoners and informs them the time has come. The prisoner transport van is here ... Commissioner Roman confirms the computer of Titus was linked to the Chopin group. Lauren was an accessory who looked after the kidnapped Kiriakis. Brady profusely apologizes for ever doubting his grandfather. Victor takes it all in stride though he hopes to see Tate soon. The two embrace and Theresa appears ... Paul is sitting at the square with his coffee, having just received word that the target his father was tailing is swimming with the fishes. Gabi the shopping image consultant is sorry about that and sits for a drink before she has to run off. She slyly brings up Sonny, noting he is with Arianna now. She gushes it is good to have him back does he not agree? Paul cannot help but blush ... Shawn is alone at the dark park remembering his romance with Belle. Claire arrives and urges him to go to Hong Kong so that their love story can continue ... Belle joins John and Marlena at the club. Champagne flows but not good news for them. She updates her folks on flying to Hong Kong to make DiMera Enterprises a legit organization within a year. Marlena hopes Shawn will be with her. Negative. John quips it will take longer than a year to clean DiMera! She announces she leaves tonight. Marlena is concerned about her leaving Claire in Salem but notes they are here for her. John is sorry Shawn is not going and stands up to hug his daughter, whose heartbreak is reflected in her eyes. Marlena stands as well and they share a final family hug ... Theresa apologizes for accusing Victor and is elated he tracked down the real tatenapper. She now invites him to their wedding tomorrow. Besotted Brady agrees. The Greek tycoon tells her he has a condition ... At the park Claire candidly points out to papa Shawn that Shelle were the greatest love song. She saw them in action herself and urges him not to give up on their excellent adventure. Shawn is listening ... Victor drawls Deimos even agreed they should hold the wedding at the Kiriakis mansion. He muses it is still in the family as he and Maggie live there. Brady and Theresa excitedly accept ... Back at the club Marlena and John feel morose about the state of things, what with Belle leaving and without her soul mate Shawn at that. She toasts to Brady and Theresa. John can bring himself only to toast to Brady but he is trying. The blonde in the pink jacket suggests a happier topic like their wedding and setting a date! John mysteriously mentions needing to prepare a certain surprise and tells her with a twinkle in his eye ... Paul changes the subject to Gabi's career opportunity. Gabi is happy to talk about her new gig at DiMera, then asks Paul about working with his dad. He is still in and enjoying it. She laments her own dad Eduardo had to leave Salem after he was threatened, haunted by his past ... The prisoners are being transported in the federal corrections van. A man sitting nearby clenches his fist. Tis Eduardo the disguised assassin, who suddenly grabs a prisoner and accuses him of threatening his family. He intends to deal with him right here right now. Things get out of control fast until ... CRASH! The felons become fugitives for they flee fast. Ed attempts to revive the driver without success. They have crashed into a dense forest ... Belle has her poignant goodbye with Claire, who wheels her luggage to the car. Belle takes one long last look around. All of a sudden Shawn appears with his own packed belongings! He drawls their romantic adventure will have to continue in Hong Kong. She throws her arms around him ... Commissioner Roman joins John and Marlena to update them on Titus, who is now dead. Someone calls him ... Kate confers with Victor hoping they bought it. Victor explains they did. No one will know it was the battered body of another man in the morgue, not Titus, who is safely overseas. He will arrange for Lauren's case to be brought before a cooperative judge in his pocket. However he will never forgive and forget Kate! She hisses she could hit back at him as well as Deimos so he should not forget that either. The Greek now gets a call that makes his face fall ... Seconds after Theresa gushes to Brady they are finally in a good place, he gets a call from Victor. HOW THE HELL DID THAT HAPPEN! Meanwhile phone Roman asks whether there has been a road closure due to the escape ...John's cell also rings. "John Black." His eyes narrow and he soap stares at Marlena, who immediately senses something SINISTER is about to descend upon Salem ... THE OMINOUS END Ahead on Days of Our Lives: Orpheus crashes the wedding! |
