He suspects Halloween ... Dr. Grant gives patient Abe the all clear. Theo enters and is suspicious. Abe admits he is to blame for not having checkups and they should be grateful to Dr.Grant for fixing the leaky valve... Rafe and Hope are doing dull paperwork at the station. She gushes it was good to play hooky last night. He wishes they had been in the desert. Hope thinks it was well worth it getting to know his dreams. Roman appears and orders them to the Halloween festival to represent the first responders who are also being honored by the DiMeras. Hope has a costume ready for Rafe ... John and Marlena sadly stare at the sign to donate in memory of Abigail for aplastic anemia at the town square. Marlena tells Andre how altruistic his family he being. Andre plays along but he has big plans ... Ciara surprises Theo with a customized costume for Super T. She will met her cool pal at the square soon ... Hope and Rafe passionately kiss. He teases she is trying to get what she wants. She promises her costume will match his and marvels they are a couple. Another kiss ... Marlena and John have high praise for Valerie at Abe's bedside. He wishes he could attend the celebration. The mood is light. Marlena and John make for the kids party and she promises to see him soon ... Abe starts to excuse Theo's behavior but Valerie assures him she can handle a boy being fierce about his father. She already is aware of his autism. Perhaps he simply does not like her ... Andre asks Theo again if Ciara is coming. He suggests a DiMera and a Kiriakis might not be able to be friends and is visibly relieved when Theo assures him she is coming ... Ciara hears that Aiden is gone for good. Hope now brings up Victor providing a large trust fund for her when she turns 21. She wants her to refuse the blood money Bo would not approve of. The material girl in Ciara stops smiling. Hope thinks it is too much. Ciara gets testy. Hope warns there is no statute of limitations on blood money. Bo and Victor were at war over it. Ciara cares not what Victor did in the past. Hope notes she still has three years to think it over. They hug and exchange I love yous ... John and Marlena smile at the hospital children's party. Steve joins them and complains he did not get to kill Orpheus himself. He tells them a body went missing from the morgue and they laugh at the timing. The room goes black and the lights come back to reveal a masked magician, who promises a show to remember ... Claire and Joey arrive at the square in costume. Claire comes and escorts Theo away. Joey notices she seems a bit jealous until flapper Jade joins him. Ciara feels like a fifth wheel and walks over to Doug, Julie, and Roman. She cannot wait for Hope to get her commendation ... Marc Antony Rafe meets Cleopatra Hope at the park. He hates the costume that feels like a dress, then calls her beautiful and kisses her. Andre is lurking and wickedly watches. Tonight is the night! Hope arrives and asks Theo about Abe. He is well. Claire takes him away and Ciara seems to be in a mood. Julie updates Hope on Valerie Grant being back in town. She senses she is hiding something. Hope suggests it is her imagination ... Abe informs Valerie how much loss Theo has had in his young life. She is sympathetic. Abe is glad his good friend Ciara took him to the festivities. He advises her to attend as well. Valerie knows few in town so Abe promises to introduce her to people and make her feel at home ... Roman chuckles at Rafe's costume and calls it a skirt. Hope insists Rafe is secure. Andre greets Hope and quotes Shakespeare. His voice oozes sarcasm and Roman notices. Andre is unstoppable. He acts approvingly that Aiden is the D.A. mo more. He mentions blood and a trumped up prison sentence between friends. Then he drinks to letting bygones be bygones and giggles. Hope grimaces. Rafe is speechless but holds up his sword. Andre steps away and Roman drawls in reality he has nothing. Doug and Julie approach and Doug announces Andre was dressed as himself for Halloween ... Kayla is at the nurse's station, where Steve, Marlena and John watch the masked magician entertain the crowd of kids. Marlena has a strange feeling ... Hope is happy when Ciara shares her decision not to take Victor's money as she would want to make papa Bo proud. However, Hope's happiness on this night shall be short lived ... Claire finds Super Theo alone near the park flowers. She senses he is not into the party and he points out it was Ciara's idea. Claire takes him by the hand back to the hospital where he would rather be ... Valerie enters Abe's room as he sleeps and touches his hand ... Back at the square Andre the host informs Mr. Deputy Mayor that brotha is running late and they want him to begin. The first award is to JJ for being shot in the line of duty. Applause. Roman accepts on his behalf ... Meanwhile after the applause at the hospital the mysterious magician selects the two blondes as the volunteers for his final act. Kayla and Marlena are at his side soon and he ushers each one into a standing box behind a curtain. Eerie music plays as he requests concentration and silence. Look only at the boxes. John and Steve smile at what they assume to be a harmless trick. If only they realized who was really behind that mask ...The magician turns his back and all the lights go out. John asks someone to turn them on. Done. The magician and his hostages are gone. Steve now gets a horrific message intended for Kayla. Orpheus was the body that went missing! He and John throw open the boxes, both of which are empty ... The Deputy Mayor summons Hope for her award and wishes to share some of the things she has done. The recording of Hope confessing I KILLED STEFANO is played repeatedly. Doug and Julie look around. Rafe and Roman start to sweat. Ciara is stunned. Andre gives horrified Hope a cold hard stare ...
