She informs curious Rafe she will have to work the night. Rafe can relate. However, he is relaxed now that the worst is over. Hope wishes she could get out of town for some rest and relaxation. Rafe shares the same dream but with her at his side ... Outside the Kiriakis mansion four important men gather. Justin, Brady, Phillip and Sonny have all been summoned by Victor for a big meeting. Maggie opens the door with a smile. She has been expecting them ... Inside Deimos implores his brother to keep his paternity secret from Phillip until he has tracked down Chloe ... At the hospital Abe has flat lined and is revived by Dr. Grant and Kayla. Theo exclaims his dad is dying. Dr. Grant presses his heart and Kayla administers the drug ... Rafe invites Hope to go away all weekend with him. She worries about Ciara and also JJ but she agrees to have a bite to eat together. Rafe gets a glint in his eye. He then sneaks behind her back to call Jen for a favor ... Maggie stands by Victor. The guests all have a glass in their hands. The time has come to toast to his retirement to be with his lady. The toast is made. Phillip gets sarcastic and impatient. Victor admits this is about the future of Titan and the family. Maggie excuses herself to avoid the fireworks ... Abe has been stabilized. Kayla tells Theo that she is now waiting for test results. She steps away to see. Theo stomps over to Valerie and accuses her of lying that his dad would be alright. She gently replies she will figure out what happened and prevent a repeat. Theo cries "more lies" and fumes when she does not allow him to see his father. Ciara attempts to calm her childhood friend and urges him to breathe ... Rafe has set up a do not cross police line at a public place which has been decorated for camping, aong with lights instead of stars. Hope walks through the gate. She calls him romantic and they kiss and giggle ... Victor announces he has now signed papers giving Deimos TOTAL CONTROL OF TITAN. Sonny cannot believe it. Neither can Brady, who knows about Bo. Victor replies Deimos was not really responsible, that was the work of a madman. Deimos tries to play the part of the peace maker and Phillip scoffs. Justin is the family counsel. Brady and Sonny and Phil will get different divisions. Phillip explodes, feeling slighted. He shouts He knows Titan and was not even consulted! But Brady and Sonny had that screw-up rescue and Deimos crippled Maggie. He throws the papers on the table, tells his father where he can put them, and storms out. Victor follows him and asks him to wait ... He explains he is sorry he hurt his feelings. He is not good at being a father but wants him to understand. This decision will be best for the long term survival of the company and the clan. He is tired of the fighting. Phillip calls it a betrayal. Victor reminds him of his own betrayal. He sighs all he sees now is Maggie and the family. He would rather not worry about the bottom line in his retirement. Phillip rages but he is his SON, unlike the others. Victor sighs he may have set his bar too high and asks him to at least consider accepting his contract. Back inside Deimos is acting like Mr. Bigshot with the boys. Brady notes there is no need to worry like before as the danger has passed. Deimos talks dynasty and birthright. Victor returns and complains Phillip is angered. Here comes the sulking son. Violins play in the background. Phillip now steps forward to emotionally embrace his father, no words necessary. Victor asks one more thing of the clan. Maggie, who has reappeared, gushes they should all stay at the house for good. Deimos elegantly adds he would like it too. Victor now needs a word with Justin alone ... Brady and Sonny are still looking at the papers thinking it over. There is no room for negotiation. Deimos is standing like the head of the family ... Hope and Rafe stargaze and make happy small talk. He teases she has no cell signal out here in the make believe woods and they passionately kiss, alone at last ... Abe's heart had seized ... Kayla confirms Abe has few hospital records. It involved the aortic valve and Dr. Grant states he needs a second surgery. Theo is now there and wants to talk to Abe, who is tired. Abe does not want his son to worry for he is staying around for him. He will not lose him. Theo is beside himself ... Phone Theresa has told Brady she would accept his decision ... Deimos does his best to convince him. He reasons he needs Brady the smooth persuasive one on his side. Outside Justin is much moved by Victor's generosity. Victor explains his decision. Deimos the snake would be the perfect CEO. Justin senses Sonny might not want in like this and what about Brady? Victor anticipates arguments but they would all respect Justin. Of that he is certain ... Rafe and Hope are eating smores and discussing their dreams. Hope is especially interested in his. Rafe wants the Cubs to sweep the World Series and also hopes to travel to Egypt one day. Hope wonders what else he dreams of ... Being a father. She thinks he is great with Ciara and kids. He has taught Ciara a lot ... Rafe wants her happy. Hope too and she smiles at her good guy. They kiss again but then she hears something and whispers it was bear. He takes his cue to protect her and they get hot and heavy ... Ciara states she cares about Theo and is here for him. They hold hands but then he goes after Valerie to his father's room again. Abe is aware of the flat line. The doctor asks him to sign a consent form for next surgery to fix the problem with his heart. Theo urges him not to do it. He does not want him near the devil woman ... Theo feels she almost killed Abe. Ciara says listen to Abe, who struggles to speak. He assures his stressed son that he trusts Dr. Grant the good doctor. He neglected his health and that valve needs fixing now. She is the most skilled surgeon to do it. Theo breaks down when he signs ... Justin is ready to make his first announcement as the official family counsel. So far Sonny has not decided and starts to leave. Justin states he had success in Paris with Titan. Deimos tries to guilt him into giving Victor worry free time with Maggie. Justin wants an answer now but says so with kindness and class ... Brady is thinking ... Sonny stops ... Outside the room Victor waits with Maggie. Inside the men sign one by one, including Deimos. Phillip is last, signing with his left hand ... Abe is taken for surgery again ... As Kayla takes a call a man in a black leather jacket appears and asks the nurse to direct him to the morgue. There is someone there he is anxious to see ... Hope and Rafe are now done with their date. She needs to get back to Ciara but thanks him. He wants to make all her dreams come true and the couple kiss in bliss, unaware that conflict is just around the corner ... END Ahead on Days of Our Lives: Steve and Kayla sense trouble.
