Andre pays sleeping Chad a visit at the hospital and tells him this stress is taking its toll on fatha's heart. With a wicked glint in his eye, he gushes it would might be betta if dear brotha continued the coma or DIED ... At the pub Aiden glumly downs more red wine as Hope rejoices in the return of son Shawn. Julie and Doug rejoice as well and Hope makes the introductions. Shawn gives Aiden a cold hard stare when he extends his hand ... Prisoners Bo and Steve are chained to the wall. Steve calls out to the captors for food and bellows they are breaking the Geneva convention. Bo suggests he not waste his breath. They both realize the safe house has become a very unsafe house, especially for them. But they are glad to see each other. Bo sighs he was going in and out of the rain forest and back until some bad guys got to him and locked him up. It was about the wonder drug Salinas was working on. Steve surprises him by stating he already knows about it. Bo gushes he cannot wait to get back to Hope and Ciara and Steve has to surprise him again, rather unpleasantly ... Shawn coldly shakes Aiden's hand. He explains to his curious clan that Ciara could not fly with him as she just got over pneumonia. He assures them she is well and will be on her way soon. He now voices his disapproval of his mother marrying this man cos he is NO BO BRADY. Hope is horrified ... Bo is horrified to hear that Hope actually plans to marry another, as he had no idea they were even divorced. He did not receive any such letter from her and believes it had to have been forged. Steve sympathetically states it is not too late to fix things but first they have to get out. The strong men proceed to pull at their chains with all their might ... At the square Joey is on his computer, proudly telling a pal on facetime that this program will put out all the lights in the school library. They laugh and Joey makes good on his prank. He is having a good time until Kayla appears and lectures him ... Aiden assures Shawn he will not try and replace his father. However, he hopes he will accept him in his mother's life. No can do cos Shawn believes Bo would not have stayed away. He is convinced he still crazy loves his mother and urges her to give him some more time. Doug and Julie are unable to convince him otherwise. The moment ends with Hope running away into the night, overcome. Aiden wants to go after the damsel in distress but mini-Bo Shawn believes that is his responsibility. He races after her, all the way to the misty park ... Joey has a devil-may-care attitude toward his prank and points out the lights will all come back on as soon as someone flips a switch. They argue and Abe appears. He agrees with Kayla's common sense. This is certainly against the law ... Aiden anxiously sits with Doug and Julie, sighing his son has no trouble with him marrying Hope ... Shawn embraces his mother at the misty park. She breaks down that Bo deserted her and that is all she has. She praises Aiden for helping her move on and refers to their union as a TILL DEATH DO US PART kind of deal. If only she knew! Hope and Shawn sit on a park bench. She confesses she too misses Bo and cannot comprehend how he could keep away from his kids for so long. Seeing her unhappy state, Shawn humors his mother. He promises to accept Aiden as the man she is moving on with and they hug. Hope gathers he got defensive due to the fact that his dad is Bo. Shawn does not deny it. They return to the pub together ... Joe is daring and defiant and gets the lights back on. Abe warns him next time he could get arrested for that kind of prank and leaves Kayla to handle her somewhat hostile son. She starts to scold him and snaps he is just like his unreliable thrill seeking father. Joe gets offended and turns away ... Bo laments no one came looking for him the entire time he was locked up. Steve explains Hope was heartbroken and assumed he had ignored her letters. Then guys started coming around. After all she is one beautiful lady. However, he knows in his heart of hearts that she has not stopped loving him ... At the pub Julie brings up the Bicentennial becoming more of a reality and adds at least Salemites can breathe a sigh of relief now that the necktie killer seems to have been caught. Aiden starts to sweat. Shawn and Hope arrive and Shawn apologizes to Aiden. Aiden assures him he intends to take care of his mother ... Abe enters the station, where he finds Officer Lani staring at something on her computer. She shuts it the minute he walks in and excuses herself for a soda. Abe opens the computer only to discover that she has been searching for information on HIM. Lani returns and brings up the Bicentennial gala, whether he will be in attendance. Indeed. Lani admits she has not been in town long enough to go. Abe wonders whether there is anything she would like to ask him. Lani pleasantly says no and leaves to file some reports. Abe frowns. He knows for a fact she is lying ... Aiden asks for a word alone with Shawn outside the pub. He praises Bo as a legend and assures the young man he is not trying to take the place of his formidable father. But he hopes they can all be one big happy family ... Kayla is sorry for flying at Joe. Her son sadly states he fears his father will not return from this mission or maybe the next one. Mother and son share an embrace. Meanwhile Steve and Bo pull and pull at their chains with all their might ... Shawn and Aiden step back inside the pub. Shawn and Julie tease Aiden they will still be watching him. Hope is all smiles. Aiden's smile is so forced and tight his face looks like it is ready to crack. He lets Hope know he will text her later and exits the pub with Julie and Doug. Once they walk away he stops smiling and goes in another direction ... Bo wonders where things stand between his sister Kayla and Steve. When he hears things are not resolved between them, he notes they both need to get outta here to make things right. The women they love should not be kept waiting ... Hope and Shawn exit the pub. Ciara is staying with Doug and Julie for this night before the wedding. She wants Shawn to stay at the house but he explains he would not feel right. Besides he has friends in Salem. And so Hope heads off to the house all alone ... Julie and Kayla are already at the house when Hope arrives, in the middle of decorating the place for her surprise bachelorette party ... Aiden arrives at the dimly lit DiMera mansion. Stefano is silently seated at his chess set. Andre stands elegantly with a drink. Aiden stammers he is going to repay his debt with Chad's freedom. Andre harbors doubts. Aiden announces he will kill Hope tomorrow and made it appear to have been the work of the serial necktie killer. Stefano is most pleased. Andre questions if he can follow through. Aiden insists he can on account of his son Chase, whom Andre had threatened. He adds he had access to the photos of the crime scenes, how the bodies were placed, plus he has an identical necktie ready. Hope dies tomorrow night, her wedding night ... Steve yanks and accidentally breaks open a gas line. The gas seeps in fast. This is NOT good ... Once alone with Stefano, Andre alludes to needing assurance to make sure Aiden does as ordered and strangles Hope. The phoenix's eyes flicker ... At that very moment Aiden is walking through the dark park alone. All of a sudden, a figure creeps out from the shadows and roughly shoves a black bag over his head. Aiden gasps ...! THE END Ahead on Days of Our Lives: Steve and Bo get lucky! Aiden is totally tormented! Hope's party takes an unexpected turn. Dan senses Eric is on a downward spiral ... and much more! |
