BASED ON DAYSCAFE NOON TWEETS WITH DETAILS ADDED! JJ is convulsing at the square. Marlena begs him to breathe. The bullet punctured and there is an air pocket in his lung. Marlena scrambles to save him, with a little help from Chad and Gabi ... At the hospital Kayla updates Adrienne on the bomb situation, the fact that Steve went off to save John. Adrienne assumes she attempted to stop him. Just the opposite. She now understands the kind of good man he must be ... Meanwhile Steve tells Orpheus to drop his gun. Orpheus leers he should drop it. Steve claims he has a swat team waiting outside. There shall be no negotiations so if they do not walk him out slowly, hands up, the sharp shooters will take him down. He reminds him his little friends have already been neutralized. Orpheus threatens to get the job done and taunts John, who remains silent on his knees in the face of danger ... At the mansion Lucas is working on a report to keep his mind off the madness. A guard brings in Anne, who was wanting to see Chad. Lucas addresses her as the beech who made sister Jen's life hell. Annie nervously smiles about Jenny ... Chad asks Marlena what to do. She takes out a syringe to rid the patient of the dangerous air pocket. She has done the procedure and assures Chad she can do it when he notes she is a shrink. Chad holds him and Marlena urges gasping JJ to hang on. Done! He is breathing better now and Gabi cries with relief. Marlena warns the wound remains a problem. Chad wants to know who did this to him. ORPHEUS. Marlena freezes ... Steve informs John and Orpheus that Hope diffused the second bomb. He offers Orpheus prison or death on the spot. He taunts him to try and take him out. John makes his move and attacks. A shot is fired ... Marlena urges Gabi to keep pressure on the wound. Gabi weeps Arianna wrote JJ's name backwards just this morning. He gasps and smiles about the sweet girl. The ambulance is heard approaching. Marlena helps him slow deep breathe. Chad has spotted the paramedics. All of a sudden JJ loses consciousness ... Annie asks why Lucas is here. He is living here temporarily. Anne complains her mother in Brooklyn kicked her out so she was driving back but returned and ran out of gas, then had a run-in after a few too many. The tale gets tangled and Lucas gives her a dubious look. She is seeking refuge and senses the hostility. Lucas refers to her history with his niece as well. Anne complains about the crazies out there so Lucas lets her stay but no alcohol ... John overpowers Orpheus and ties his hands behind his back. Orpheus, now face down on the floor, dares him to kill him here. John would rather not stain the nice carpet in his home and suggests they finish this outside. Orpheus' eyes glaze over. Steve gives John a gun ... Steve soon calls Kayla from the station with the good news. The cops have Orpheus and John played the hero. He will be going back to prison. He tells his woman he loves her and she says the same, then happily updates Adrienne, who is proud of her brother the hero. All of a sudden Justin comes running, throws his arms around her, and gushes he is glad she is alright. Adrienne is astounded ... Anne asks Lucas about the mansion. No one would notice if she moved in. He quips no one could not notice her and she thanks him for the compliment. She asks about his fiancee Adrienne and teases she looks like Kayla. She admits she will need to beg for her job back. However she will also need time off to keep taking care of her mom. Lucas learns she is the only one to do so. Anne admits she wanted to live her own life and took off. Lucas can relate. She breaks down about her mom being sick, feeling like a lousy daughter. Lucas offers Kleenex. And so a crush is born ... At the station John wonders why the wait. Steve heard a machine was not working and gets a coffee. Marlena races in and hugs John in relief. Orpheus the prisoner watches from the room he is in. She tells them about JJ and cries she thought they would both die this time. John drawls his partner came in the nick of time. Steve got in a shot so Orpheus took it to the arm. The danger is over. Marlena thanks Steve and the two step away to give statements. A cop now informs Dr Marlena that the prisoner is seeking medical help. She is obliged as a doctor to enter his room with the cop. Orpheus mutters her name. She stares coldly at him, her medical bag in hand. Adrienne is with Justin, and assures him she is fine as is Sonny, whom she came to see. He stammers he went to the DiMera mansion but she was not there so he sneaked in here to see her for himself. She wonders why. He asks why she thinks ... Mama Jen arrives upset about JJ. Gabi and Chad note JJ is strong and hope for the best. Jen thanks them for being there for her son. Jen talks love and Gabi blurts out she loves him a lot. Chad insists he will make it. Jen is grateful. Gabi hugs her ... Marlena is less than thrilled to have to take a look at Orpheus' injured arm. The police guard is asked to unlock his handcuffed hand. Orpheus claims he is in pain. Marlena gets close to check his arm and cuts away the bloodied shirt. Stitches are required so she sterilizes the wound and he winces. She realizes he has no remorse. He claims he should have killed her years ago. She claims he is going to hell and he taunts she was the devil! He insults her and suddenly disarms the guard, whom he warns to leave or he dies. They have unfinished business. Marlena nods so the cop guard goes. This is Orpheus' last stand ... Gabi blames herself but Chad warns her not to do as he did and blame herself. What happens will happen. Just love the one you love while you can. Gabi cries she does and hugs him again ... Justin explains he and Adrienne were once married and have children. Of course he cares. He declares she will forever hold a place in his heart. She calls that a break-up cliche. Justin calls it a true cliche. She apologizes. He sighs he was the one who screwed things up. She thinks now is not the time or the place. Justin wants her to understand. She gathers they have history but is bothered by his concern now, which should have been there when he was having that affair with Elsa. She stops herself and states now she is going to marry Lucas. Justin asks why the rush. She thinks it is not his business. He deduces the hurry to wed Lucas is desperate. Adrienne thinks they need not wait and alludes to their own engagement when they were young. Justin is moved she remembers the length of their engagement. But then he collapses to the floor. Adrienne screams for help ... John and Steve now see what is going on and John shouts for a swat team. The door is locked. Orpheus announces to his hostage he is tired of the game. This is the end of the line for him. John bangs on the locked door. Marlena faces her worst fear. Orpheus is ominously calm ... Back at DiMera mansion Anne thanks Lucas for the water and sympathy. Lucas sits beside her and discusses mothers. What matters is she is here for her. Anne is amazed by his altruism. He has reports to write. She starts to read a magazine on the sofa and tries to strike a sexy pose ... Adrienne buttons up Justin's shirt. The doctor she got informed him he was dehydrated. Now he is hydrated and fine and teases she must still care. Adrienne gets testy. She then confesses she wants them to be friends forever. Justin is not sure what to make of it ... As the Salem patient sleeps, Dr. Kayla informs Jen that JJ had the bullet removed but the blood loss made him fall into a coma. The next 24 hours with be crucial. One visitor at a time. Jen sits at her son's bedside. Gabi makes the sign of the cross and exits. Jen tenderly tells him he was her miracle baby from the start! Papa Jack was so happy with his son and he has made her proud. She praises him for his strength and weeps to be strong now. He is the glue that keeps the family together. She cries and holds his hand, asking him to give her a sign with a squeeze. Nothing. Jen begs ... Outside the room, frantic John offers a trade. Inside Orpheus downs a large dosage of sedative from Marlena's medical bag. He hisses he will not be sent back to the slammer. He turns red and falls to the floor in his final moments. He calls this one more death on her conscience, Then he starts to pull the trigger to take her with him but his cold heart fails him. John bursts in and hugs the woman he loves. ORPHEUS IS DEAD ... Adrienne and Justin are there for Jen in her time of need. Justin offers to call mama Laura. Jen laments she left her a message. JJ is all she has left. She could not bear to lose her last child. Adrienne holds her ... Gabi sits with JJ and vows not to take him for granted. She cries she needs him as does Arianna. Chad watches from the open door ... Marlena gasps Orpheus got hold of the sedative supply from her bag and tries to revive him. John states it so over and holds her in his strong arms. Steve stands by. Marlena is a mess. Orpheus is dead but when will he be gone from her mind ...? END! Ahead on Days of Our Lives: Bad company crashes Bianca's breakfast with Dario. Nicole complains to Chloe about deceiving Deimos.
