Caroline has come to the house with Ciara. Her parents are not home yet ... Outside the pub pal Steve assures Bo he can beat this if he fights! Kayla comes out with Hope, who wonders. Bo asks her to meet him at the park soon, after he picks something up ... Kayla and Steve walk by the town gate together. She begs for a medical favor for Bo on the phone but has no luck. Steve points out they said nothing would work. Besides Bo is gonna do what he is gonna do ... Kayla cries against him as Steve consoles his baby ... Ciara wishes for things to be normal for her folks ... Hope sits on the pretty park bench waiting for Bo. She remembers their first kiss once upon a time ... Now our present day hero arrives carrying a sack. She wonders what is inside. Bo grins their future ... Kayla sobs given his MRI it is a miracle Bo is even standing. Steve is there for his baby... Ciara's regret she did not believe in Bo the way Caroline did makes Caroline remember how happy her son was to take her down to California. She credits him with her recovery. Ciara suspects her father was withdrawn as he is finding it hard to take that her mom had been ready to move on. Caroline dismisses the notion ... Hope smiles this is the very spot where they shared their first kiss. He remembers it well. He teases she was a tough cookie like their Ciara ... The flashback of their first meeting is shown when teen Hope, who was trying to act older, flirted by his bike outside a hot night spot. Macho Bo knew she was a high schooler and had driven her safely home on his bike ... The rest as they say is history ... Bo is wearing what he had on that fateful day and Hope is all smiles. Ciara would call them epic but Bo prefers FOREVER. They share a romantic kiss. Poor Hope has no idea she is about to lose the love of her life at this very spot, as already seen by Caroline in her vision ... Steve and Kayla sit on a bench surrounded by colorful flowers. She thanks her HERO for finding Bo and bringing him back home. She tenderly takes his hand in hers ... Bemused Caroline believes Bo always forgives like the time he stole Hope before she could marry another.The flash back of Bo on his bike speeding away with Larry Welch's almost bride is shown ... At the park Hope is happy to realize Bo is not upset with her since he seemed so at the pub when Ciara suggested they get married there. Bo solemnly states he has to tell her something ... Steve and Kayla look deeply into each others' eyes and she pulls away, claiming nothing has changed. Steve suspects she is in denial, since she already kissed him today, and invites her to stay and watch the sunset with him ... Bo bears tragic news. He collapsed and went to the hospital for tests. He has ... an inoperable brain tumor that is spreading. Hope gasps and cries in horror. They hug and she asks how much longer he has. Alas not long enough ... Hope is utterly devastated. Bo her hero decides to show her what he brought to celebrate and solidify their future - an oak sapling to commemorate their romance at Oak Alley when they finally found their way together. So many hot romantic moments so much love just like a gypsy had predicted to Hope. Bo thinks they should plant it to grow here, where she stole his heart. Then their grandkids can sit under the old oak tree and who knows, maybe a couple of crazy kids in love with carve their initials in it ... They sit with the tree as Hope sobs she cannot live without him. Bo reminds her what she was taught at the police academy - can't is not a word in her vocabulary. He loves her so much. Hope cries for ever doubting him. Bo would rather make the most of their final moments together and insists no more sorries. They hang onto each other and she begs him not to leave her, their faces tenderly touching ...Before Caroline goes Ciara asks her if she has had any more visions of Bo. Caroline admits there was one but believes it was nothing. It had to be nothing ... Steve is sitting with his sweetness, silently holding her hand as they wait for the sun to set ... Hope wants to get married again as soon as possible. Bo gently suggests NOW and proceeds to recite his heartfelt vows, the same ones he did the first time they were wed. Hope does the same through her tragic tears and past becomes one with the present ... Bo kisses his bride in the park as the sunrays around them grow stronger and then start to disappear. As Peter Reckell's real life wife songbird Kelly Moneymaker sings their poignant love song Can't Live Without Your Love, a collection of classic Bo and Hope clips is shown ... Caroline gets back to the dark pub and gets a strange feeling. Ciara is clutching a photograph of her famous folks and also gets a bad feeling. At the darkening park Hope tells Bo she loves him and kisses him for the last time. Bo's eyes close and he stops kissing. The sun is gone. Hope cries Nooooooo please don't leave me as snow starts to fall from the Salem sky ... CURTAIN R.I.P. Bo Brady. Here was a hero! |
