On his phone outside, Chad the corporate cad quietly urges Merkel to keep this a secret until they notify the rest of the board and thanks him. But T has overheard! Co-CEO?????! Chad scowls at him. Miles away suited Stefano is on his phone. He thunders he underrrstands! Paige is petulant at home as JJ was not at class and might want to break up with her due to the thing related to his past. Eve is curious which thing in his past? The drugs? No, that thing his dad did. Eve thinks it is best to let him go if he needs space. Paige refuses to be pushed away … JJ is petulant at home and Abigail asks what irks him. EVERYTHING! She takes away his weights and implores him not to let Jack’s sin hurt what he has with his girl. JJ sighs she will move on. Abigail does not get what the real issue is here after he confesses he loves her like crazy. This makes no sense ... Aiden explains to Chase that it is not polite to delve into one’s wealth, nor does it count. He sends his lad off to school with a sigh. Back at the square, Hope gasps at the search of her own personal wealth on Aiden’s tablet. Caroline startles her. Hope admits something surprised her online is all. Caroline notices Aiden’s briefcase and assures her she is alright with her seeing that fine straightforward man. Aiden returns with a smile. Hope gives him an intense stare. Caroline and Aiden make nice and Caroline invites the pair to the pub. Aiden graciously accepts for later and wishes her a good day as she departs. Hope pouts and he wonders. She shoves the tablet at him, seeking an explanation and it had better be good! Aiden innocently takes a look. At the hospital, Theresa turns on Brady for daring to come to her workplace. He is baffled. She screams she will never forgive him! He told Victor who told Shane. He trashed her! She screams he is here to rub it in her face but he growls to stop the outburst and ushers her off for a private talk, his hand resting possessively on her lower back. At the apartment, Paige admits she cannot let JJ go as they are in looooove. It cannot end. Eve suddenly snaps it must end. Paige is perplexed by her mother’s extreme reaction … Abigail knows JJ is not telling her everything. He counters neither is she and alludes to her not coming home last night. She gets embarrassed. However, he approves of Ben, who is better than Chad, and promises not to tell mama Jen about her all nighter. Abigail again asks what is really going on with him … Eve explains it is best not to hang on. Paige does not want her over protecting and impatiently goes off to her study session with Daphne. Eve curses JJ the bastard for not dumping her daughter enough … JJ fears things will never be the same. Abi assures him she felt like that too when she found out. She glances at Jack’s photo and assures JJ it is not something that gets passed down. Jack was a lost soul on a dark path once upon a time but found his way back from the dark side, becoming a better man. She cries Jack would be heartbroken and urges JJ not to have shame. He laments it is too late and hangs his head. Abi believes her brother is wonderful and should not let go of the girl of his dreams. He did nothing wrong … Brady takes Theresa into another room and is sorry for what Victor did. He will speak with him. She gets shrill and questions his presence at her workplace. He patiently points out he is on the board and states the next time they accidentally see one another, it will be more civil. However, there is still to be no contact. Theresa haughtily hisses she is the best thing to happen to him so he is gonna be sorry! He lists her nefarious actions, culminating with hitting John on the head. Theresa admits she is no saint but he has loved the bad girl in her. He coldly claims he has moved on. She doubts it and coyly adds she sure has! Brady’s blue eyes flicker. Chad loses his patience on another call and then accuses T, who was busing an outdoor table, of eavesdropping. T denies the charge when Chad sarcastically wonders whether he wants to keep his job. He then apologizes and asks him to repeat nothing as the SEC could get involved if it slipped out and stocks were affected. T is surprised Sonny knows nothing about his business partner's big DiMera plans but promises not to talk. Stefano now calls Chad, who sighs someone else obviously knows. T is gone. Chad answers. The phoenix knows all and concludes he has been working on Katarrina’s side. Chad admits he was looking out for number one. He suspects father is mad he betrayed him but Stefano warns he has made a very big mistake! Chad lets him know he will not be intimidated. Stefano laughs he is calling to congrrrrratulate him! Chad gasps what? Father phoenix is mighty prrrrroud .... At the square, Hope hounds Aiden about being interested in her wealth. Aiden takes it all in stride, claims innocence, and the attorney adds he can prove it! He takes her to the town gate for some privacy and points out it is his son’s tablet. She doubts it. He shows her the games and his American history folder. Hope gets it. Ciara is all about wealth these days too. She apologizes, then realizes Ciara has been blurting out things. Aiden admits he knew she was wealthy way before Ciara’s blurting! He sits her down on a bench and confesses Father Luis told him her donation amount, hoping he would compete. Aiden admits he added ten percent to his, being competitive. They are both wealthy in their own right. He cares not about her money and kisses her on the lips. Eve storms over to Horton house and flies at JJ for not doing as told. Abigail happily gets a recipe from Maggie at the house of Kiriakis and must confess she got her job back thanks to Chad when asked. She stammers it is kinda complicated. Maggie questions her on Chad’s so-called pure motives. Abigail recalls Melanie’s words when she found out she had given Chad another chance way back when. There are parts of Chad DiMera than no one can conceive of … a dark side … a dangerous side … Theresa taunts Brady she has a new guy now and he is a superstar who makes his own millions, he is no trust fund baby! No worries they are done. Exit the hell cat with the hurt feelings. The billionaire heir shakes his handsome head. At the pretty park, Paige confides to Daphne about her mom pushing her to end things with JJ and suspiciously states she knows why … Eve screams JJ failed when he stammers he tried. Eve exclaims her daughter is convinced he still loves her. JJ bellows that is because he does! Hope teases Chase’s tablet is costly and Aiden was critical of Ciara’s earrings. They admit they love spoiling their kids and he loves that Hope challenges him as well. Tender music plays as they kiss.... Theresa visits patient Paul and he gets her name wrong. She offers to sneak him out to a bar or snuggle with him to watch movies. Paul promises after the pain killers. Whatever gets him thru the night. Theresa flashes back to Brady’s motto - whatever gets you thru the night - and her eyes are filled with sincere tears … She covers and gushes about possibilities with painkiller Paul ... Brady the board member runs into Hope at the nurse’s station and arranges to see Ciara. He asks about Aiden and is glad she is so happy. Hope is radiant. Brady thinks Aiden is a good man, agrees with the notion of moving on, and gets going ... Paige now shares a secret with her friend. Her mom was sad about her singing career being lost and had another one night stand! She also thinks it is related to her reaction to JJ … Eve reminds JJ they made a mistake and he agreed to end it with Paige. JJ stammers he tried but Paige was too sweet to hurt. Maybe things will be alright between them if the secret does not get out. Eve demands he dump her daughter. JJ retorts he does not take orders from her and stands up in a huff. Outside the club, Chad is flabbergasted father is actually proud of his conspiracy. Stefano marvels he would have done the same at his age! Chad warns he will lose a lot of money. Trrrrue but Chad has revived the DiMerrrrra name! He cackles upon finding out Katarrrina made him co-CEO unwillingly. He suspects he is more steel than the other son but suggests it could cost him Jordan and ends the call with a cackle, along with some Italian phrases. Chad gets a feeling of dread … Aiden picks up his son at school with his tablet and gives him a loving lecture about money not being everything so he should stop talking to Ciara about her mom’s wealth. It is not their business. Chase peers at him oddly … Paige shares her suspicion that her mom had feelings for her one night stand and it has her rattled. She also suspects she regrets sleeping with the guy, whoever he was … Eve leers JJ the s.o.b. cannot see her daughter after sleeping with her mother. JJ starts to say maybe … Eve insists it is too late for maybe and as much as they wish they could, they cannot go back and change that fateful night!
