There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... At the pub, martini Kate asks Lucas about his trip to Houston. Her son scowls it was muggy. She casually asks about Cheryl, who evidently told him off. Cocktail Kate coos it was not meant to be. But Lucas bitterly blames his mother and snaps he hopes it was worth it. Kate is over the moon about Jordan and coos about their confrontation. She thinks Jordan - or whoever she is - is ready to run again. Lucas quips his mom is scary and sarcastically states Rafe will still not come crawling back to her despite her diabolical efforts He warns her not to delude herself. - Rafe informs Jordan that it was brother Ben who said she was leaving town. Why did she not talk to him? They sit by the colorful flowers and Jordan assures him she cares. She admits she does love him. He drawls great. He loves her too. Therefore, she stays! They seal the deal with a kiss. She gasps he does not understand. He teases her to enlighten him. She quips she cannot and stands up. Rafe teases her for breaking his heart, then admits he knows something has her spooked. But he is convinced he can help. He promises to stand by her through thick and thin. Jordan wonders how she could have deserved such a wonderful man. Rafe promises her they will be alright and kisses her passionately. - At Sonny’s trendy club, Ben mutters to Abigail he would not mind anything she did to that Nick! She blinks. He gets the girl a coffee in a blue cup and asks if Nick caused her problems. She would rather not elaborate and replies she needs no rescuing, though she does regret her earlier rudeness. Ben can take it. They agree to be friends with a grin. - At the apartment, Will is filled with shock and awe that Sonny was actually going to shoot Nick. Sonny confirms with a resounding YES. He reasons Gabi is afraid of Nick, who has lost it again so she should be afraid! In addition, he refuses to let Ari be raised by the evil one. Still holding the gun in one hand, Will gets the magazine and silencer out of the backpack with the other ... - At the mansion, stressed Sami is throwing a hissy fit at an unfortunate employee on the phone. EJ overhears and suggests Samantha is done with work for the night. She exclaims she cannot sit around waiting for word from the hit man that he has killed Nick! She cannot believe what they have set in motion on this night! EJ coolly advises her to leave it as his choice. Sami stammers she cannot stop thinking about Nick, whether he is dead or alive. EJ calmly points out wot they did was necessary. Sami concludes then they are no better than Stefano! EJ peers at papa Stefano's portrait ... - The hit man is behind Nick in the dark park, silencer on his gun. He takes aim but disappears behind some bushes when Julie comes running with a greeting. She had texted Nick and gives him a hearty hug. He stares impassively. The hit man peers through the leaves. - Kate now complains to Lucas about the custody agreement Gabi was pushed into getting by none other than Nick. Lucas frowns upon learning Will would only see his daughter every other weekend. - Will does not want to ruin his and Sonny’s lives. Sonny admits he has never shot a man. Will has and he does not want this to destroy them! - Nick is suspicious of Julie’s reason for wanting to see him. Not one to beat around the bush, Julie brings up his untimely argument with cousin Abigail. He confesses it has been a bad day as he is hated by many in town. Matter of fact, he thinks besides her and Maggie, no one in this town would care whether he lived or died! - EJ sits Sami down and paints a bleak picture of what could happen if Nick were not stopped. Sami would end up in prison and innocent baby Ari would spend a lifetime under the care of Nicholas Fallon. This was the only course! Sami points out EJ earlier believed they would be able to defeat Nick. Did they try all their options? EJ drawls there is no other way. Nick brought this on himself. Furthermore, the world will be a much better place once he is gone ... - Abigail decides she has to go. Ben warns her to avoid that Nick, cos he spells trouble. She flashes back to EJ’s promise that he would fix everything, and whispers maybe not for much longer ... - Lucas is furious. Who the hell does Nick think he is! Kate agrees he must be stopped and many others share the same sentiment ... - Sonny assures worried Will that no one witnessed him removing the gun from Uncle Victor’s encased collection. Will insists he take it back before anyone notices it is gone. Sonny, however, has obligations and responsibilities that take top priority. The club awaits so he must get back to work. He will put the gun back where it belongs early in the morning. No one will notice it was gone. Will loves him and gathers he would even kill for him, though it would not be the right thing to do. Sonny agrees, places the black backpack in the closet, and repeats first thing in the morning, it is gone! - Julie sits on a park bench with Nick and notes Gabi does not hate him. He loooooves her so much. The hit man is still listening as Nick laments everyone is against him. He does not want to be at war. Julie strokes his head and remembers the sweet boy he used to be, when he first arrived in Salem. And he is still so smart. Nick sighs he has done dumb things. Julie gives him a pep talk about change and the future. He sighs he wants his share of happiness with Gabi, but people keep screaming at him. Julie solemnly states he needs to deal with his demons. Nick wonders what she means. Does she consider him crazy?! - Sami is desperate to go somewhere. EJ smoothly suggests they talk a walk. It is a lovely night after all. She grumbles for a murder maybe and he suavely opens the door. - Kate is outside on her phone, as a request has come in. She gets off her phone and mutters she will not bow to Nick Fallon anymore! Eerie music plays. - At the park, Jordan the apologist promises to stay and share any future plans with Rafe. Rafe is relieved. He gets a call and sighs he has to go. It seems to be a matter concerning his police work. He kisses her and she gushes she will be waiting. - Lucas is sitting alone at the pub clanging his cutlery. Ally asks if he is mad. He explains he is just agitated about a bad man. Jordan comes in and shows her the new app on her phone after Ally updates her on the bad man. Jordan joins Lucas at his table. He asks how things are. So good, though she does miss double dating with him and Cheryl. Lucas is somewhat surprised she is actually staying in Salem. - Julie denies thinking Nick is deranged. He was addicted to drugs and not quite himself when he abducted Mel but he does have those demons. Not like his mom but ... She now suggests he speak with a professional. Nick gasps in the end, one is alone. Julie reasons trained people can help. People like Marlena, whom he ought to call. He sniffles and scoffs she would not want to help. Julie just wants him to get this thing inside him under control, feel safe. Nick break down in tears about not feeling safe for a long time and laments he does not like this feeling. Julie holds him and assures him he is not alone. He woefully thanks her for not judging. Julie smiles she is proof positive that things can get better and invites him out for dinner. Nick decides he would rather remain at the pretty park to clear his head. It is decision he will soon regret ... - Will is on his way to meet Abigail. Sonny is on his way to close up the club for the night. Will is relieved that is all and kisses him. Sonny adds but if it came down to it, there would be no hesitation on his part to act. He would do anything for Will. They exit together. - Lucas reads a text he has just received from Kate about Gabi’s lawyer taking action as soon as next week He now texts Nick, wondering about his whereabouts. Jordan is baffled and hopes everything is okay as Lucas grimaces at his phone. He gets a text reply from Nick who is at the park. Ominous music plays - the suspenseful kind - as Lucas gets Jordan to watch his daughter for about 30 minutes. He must attend to a ... work matter and goes. - Kate sits with Sonny at the club and he is horrified to learn things are about to get worse! There is no exact date but the court date could be sometime next week. And this is an ambush! Sonny still thinks Gabi meant they would settle. Kate suggests the girl in not in control. Sonny scoffs they know exactly who is responsible ...! - Abigail sits with Will at the pub and informs him someone told her Nick would come to his senses soon. She believes it. Will insists Nick will never change and warns her Nick would hurt anyone, even ... She diverts her gaze and Will concludes he is blackmailing her with something too. Is it related to her mystery man?Was he married or something? Abigail sighs about the something. She is terrified her secret would hurt people. Will starts to wonder about her mystery man until he gets a frantic call from Sonny about the hearing in family court as early as next week. This must be the doing of Nick! Will suddenly states he has to go and bolts from the pub, leaving behind a baffled Abigail. - Nick is sitting alone in the dark park and flashes back to Gabi standing by him, the praise people used to give him, even Sami's recent praise for helping her daughter with her homework. Then he remembers promising not to let Gabi down and kissing her. He shuts his eyes and hangs his head in shame. Then he sniffles and places a call to Marlena. - Gabi runs into window shopping Jordan and Ally at the town square. She is relieved to learn Jordan is staying in town for Rafe and thanks God. She now gets a text from Rafe, requesting a meeting, and dutifully goes. - Jordan ends up at the club with Ally, surprised to find out that brother Ben took off early from his shift and he appeared to be agitated ... - Sami and EJ stroll hand in hand at the town square, trying to act like a calm, committed couple. He sits and suggests they talk wedding. She gasps she cannot. He places his hand on hers and reminds her it is almost over. He now charmingly asks wot she wants their first dance as man and wife to be at the wedding reception. Tango. - Julie is spotted leaving the park by the hit man, who doubles back. In the dark park, Nick is crying about needing professional help. The time has come to face the facts. He is aware he has been hurting others as well as himself and wishes to stop the pattern. Just saying these words into the phone have already made him feel better. He is hanging onto hope ... Bang bang bang! Three shots fired by a gun with a silencer at close range, one in the back, two in the front after he turns around. Nick gasps, touches the blood on his white shirt, and falls to the ground. - Sami gasps to EJ the kids are asleep. She gets upset about them finding out what their parents have done. EJ promises her they will keep their kids safe. Along comes Lucas, who has ended his business. He is seeking Ally, whom he left with Jordan. Sonny has just met up with Will. Gabi appears and Sonny blasts her for not telling them about the court date. She is sorry and whispers all will be fine. Diva Kate arrives and glares at the girl. She keeps walking. Abigail ambles alone, notices Ben, and keeps walking too. Julie sits at a table, murmuring the place filled up fast just as Rafe arrives. He notices Kate, Will, Sonny, and Gabi in an intense conversation and stares. Ally emerges with Jordan, eating an ice cream. Rafe casually grins at them. The girl suddenly points and screams to wake the dead. Bleeding Nick has staggered into the square. Rafe calls for help now! Julie rushes up to him and cries who did this as Nick the notorious falls at her feet, trying to raise and point a finger of his bloodied hand. The crowd stares in silence. EJ wears a frown, Sami at his side. The strength sloooowly seeps out of the victim ... THE END |
