These are my words. There is only one DaysCafe :) Now without further ado ... BASED ON DAYSCAFE NOON TWEETS: At the sunny square John and Paul meet up with a subdued Marlena. John kisses the woman he loves. He chuckles he has big plans to take a trip east with Paul to see all the ballparks where he pitched and watch the games together. John now perceives she is bothered ... Busy brother Rafe summons Dario to the station to tell him about a volunteer opportunity to mentor kids. Dario says do not worry about me but worry about our mother. Meanwhile Adriana has a visitor - Eduardo would like to come in the house pleeeeease ... Theresa is at the townhome working the phone for DJ Wear. She assures the latest caller the company is solid and stable. She now gets another call and answers as a DJ Wear receptionist, lying Miss Donovan is in a meeting and no Nicole is not leaving the company. Click. The phone is ringing off the hook. She gasps and leaves Brady a frantic message that she needs him now! But Brady the soap hero is busy saving Summer, about to talk tough with the creep from her past ... Dario warns Rafe to keep mommy away from Ed cos he always leaves anyway ... Ed has a bag of Mexican ingredients and wants to cook for Adriana. He eagerly reminds her he made her a great lunch once upon a time when they were courting. She remembers it well. Ed admits she was love at first sight for him and it hurt. She teases her heart bleeds for him. He adds he was sad he had to walk away later. He asks to come in. She flirts with her eyes and replies he already knows the answer ... Unable to reach Brady, Theresa leaves John another message ... Marlena sighs she has spoken to Eric on the phone. He is attending AA meetings in the slammer and is the chaplain's assistant. But he wants to hear how Sami is. Marlena is frustrated it is so hard to reach Samantha ... Brady is back at the hotel room with Summer and a bag of big money. He coldly gives Clark the 50 grand and an order to leave town. Summer has squared off her debt. If he sees him in Salem again, he will have him arrested for blackmail. Clark slinks out and Summer gives Brady a great big needy female soap hug. Brady is somewhat surprised as she stammers how can she ever repay him ... Paul steps away for a coffee refill to let John and Marlena speak privately. John wonders why Sami still wants to lie low even with Stefano dead. Marlena wonders as well. She laments she is at a loss when the children have no peace. John notes they can only support them ... Paul's hand is shaking while he drinks coffee. He seems to be stricken with the virus that Ling the loon unleashed ... Adriana is cutting an onion. Ed drawls they used to do it differently and shows her with his arms around her, romantically singing. Old feelings run deep for both of them ... Brady wants to go, still not comfortable that Summer was ever a con artist. She admits Dan knew, but she was too ashamed to confide in Brady. He asks how Maggie handled it. She was understanding. Summer touches his arm and hopes one day he will get her. Brady excuses himself in a hurry ... Ed touches Adriana's hand and tenderly tells her she has tears in her eyes. She blames the onions. He murmurs he missed her. She gasps she missed him too and they come close to a kiss ... until glam Gabi arrives from her photo shoot. She explains she is lunching with JJ today. Ed suggests she invite him here. Adriana agrees. Arianna calls for mommy. Ed wants to check on her and goes to do the honors. Gabi teases mommy. Dario and Rafe arrive and Ed comes into the kitchen with Ari in his arms. Dario frowns ... Paul clutches his crazily shaking hand ... John tries to make Marlena feel better by gushing about Belle getting back with Shawn. Marlena replies she signed divorce papers. He mutters a disappointed curse. She now updates him on Claire not knowing and spending prom night in jail for vandalism. John wants to have a talk with her but Marlena talks him out of interfering, that is up to her parents. She agrees with what he said earlier. That sometimes all a parent can do is support from the sidelines ... Brady gets home and tells Theresa she was right cos Summer used to be a con artist and owed a creep 50 k. Theresa is furious. She gets even more furious when she finds out Brady fronted her the money. Evidently Brady now has both a hero complex as well as a billionaire complex. Brady admits he did give the money to her but has nothing more to say on the matter. Theresa tells him not to forget he is DJ Wear's biggest investor. They begin to bicker. Brady feels Theresa should be more forgiving and give second chances given her own history. He storms off to take a walk for fresh air. Theresa makes sure the sitter will stay with Tate and takes off after him ... The Hernandez clan are having a happy lunch with guest JJ. Mama says Arianna her daughter is still in their hearts. Dario is rude towards Ed, who begins to grill JJ. Dario tells him off for trying to act like a patriarch ... Paul rejoins John and Marlena and fibs the line was too long for a refill. John gets back to the topic of their ball games, then greets Brady, who looks intense. John and Marlena wonder. He admits he has concerns ... about the new company ... Someone aggressively knocks and Summer opens her door to Theresa, who tells her she has not a prayer with Brady so go back to LA! Summer insists she is not after him. Theresa calls her cookie and threatens to go to the cops if she messes with her. She now wants her gone for good ... Brady pretends he only had a problem with DJ Wear on his mind. Marlena smiles he and Theresa should come for supper sometime. Paul too. John impulsively invites Brady to the ball games with him and Paul too but Brady cannot take a trip now ... Creepy Clark comes back to Summer and hands her her CUT of the money for that con. He sneers he and Cindy are getting started again. He remembers the old days when she was with that hothead Dario. But Summer states she is done so go and leave Brady alone ... Rafe wants to make things work. Dario wants to tell JJ the rookie all about Eduardo. JJ excuses himself and Gabi grabs Ari and goes with him. Rafe thinks that was too much but Dario sneers he did not have the stomach to have lunch with a murderer. He storms out and the smile fades from Adriana's sweet face ... At the pretty park Gabi and JJ have yogurt. She is sorry about Dario and also about Ed grilling him. He says no worries, it would take more than that to keep him away, and they kiss in bliss ... Ed is impressed Rafe was cool trying to keep the peace at lunch. Rafe thanks mommy for the great lunch, says something quietly in her ear, and goes on his way ... John returns Theresa's call. She must meet him to talk. He tells her Brady said something was up with the company. Theresa will text him the time and place of their meeting but he must make no mention of it to Brady. John and also Marlena are bewildered ... Clark leers Brady would not want someone lowly like Summer. He cackles he cased the town and knows there are plenty of rich people. She gasps to go. He, however, remembers the good old days and grabs her in an attempt to rekindle their passion. Summer struggles, then gives him a push. As luck would have it, he staggers back, hits his head and dies within seconds. Summer gasps in horror ... Adriana flirts about coming for another meal. Ed notes Dario had a point about his past. Adriana stands by him and even refers to Gabi as OUR daughter. She thanks him for helping her clean up. He wonders what Rafe whispered to her. That if she is happy he will try and be happy for her. Ed asks if she is. She gushes she was happy the family was all together. Of course some have strong personalities. Ed grins and asks about dinner. She laughs don't push your luck but kisses his cheek as she ushers him out the door ... Back at the square John and Marlena mull over why Theresa is being so mysterious. John hopes Paul is not bored but Marlena notices something is very wrong. Paul laments he has been feeling unwell for a while. He tries to stand, now perspiring profusely and as pale as a ghost. John jumps up to help him to the ER. Marlena tells him she will be right behind him ... Summer summons Dario, who sees the body and says he looks dead. Summer says he is dead. She asks Dario what he is going to do now, her waif eyes wide and worried. Dario deduces he needs to help her cover cos the trail leading from dead Clark to Summer would lead right back to his conning ways ... THE END! Ahead on Days of Our Lives: Rafe romances the Hope. Dario gets in too deep. Theresa intends to investigate. JJ and Gabi's date takes a backseat to drama. |
