At the pub, Hope appreciates Rafe's input regarding an old case. He admits he still misses police work. They get to the topic of Gabi's worry that Will and Sonny not working out would leave her where exactly? Hope explains an attorney might put her mind at ease and suggests Aiden, then adds Rafe should not reveal she gave his referral. They are on opposing sides and Rafe immediately suspects Clyde. He refuses to give her what he has on the man but solemnly states Victor the great and powerful would rather avoid him ... After leaving his bags at the Kiriakis mansion, Justin heads to his son's apartment. Sonny is home alone and surprised to see his father, who is desperately seeking Adrienne ...Lucas has arranged to meet pretty in pink Adrienne at his hotel room. She assumes he has afternoon delight in mind. Instead, he suggests they keep their distance. Adrienne sighs she suspects Kate got to him. Lucas denies it and wonders how she feels. They soon realize they both want their romance to continue and make love in the big bed. Afterwards, they agree to go public by dining together at a restaurant. It's a date! Adrienne assures her new flame that her husband is gone for good ... Roving reporter Will appears at attorney Aiden's office, asking questions about Clyde. Aiden assumes Hope suggested he come see him. He finds out Will did not discuss his investigation with Hope. He asks about Clyde's donation. Aiden senses he is up to no good and tells him to get lost. Will retorts he is writing his story regardless. The fact that the lawyer will not cooperate tells him there is something about Clyde. Aiden is extremely tense ... At the club, Clyde mulls over Stefano now owning Sonix. Why would the sob order Will to write an article on him? Kate thinks it is about HER ...Corporate payback perhaps. Clyde suspects the phoenix is jealous she is now with him and drawls he has an idea ... At the square, Nicole bellows and blasts Dan for getting mad at her. He grins she gets to tell him off. She declares no do over and leave her alone! Then she storms off in tears, turning to make sure Zander can see ... Sonny has no clue where his mother is and suggests Justin just call her. He is horrified to hear that his father stopped over in San Francisco to speak with Paul ... and even more horrified that he told Paul to come to Salem. He scowls at his father for being a hypocrite when Justin brings up Will's cheating ways. Justin just wants his son to be happy, adds Will even tried to hide the fact that Paul was John's son from John, and suggests Sonny do some soul searching. When he leaves, Sonny remembers Will and he remembers Paul ... Dan heads home and drops a box, breaking a glass. He grumbles to mama Maggie about his day, the fact that he is having problems with Nicole. The redhead reasons that one is not relationship material but Dan's mind is made up.Nicole is now the only woman in the whole wide world for him. He is also upbeat that Maggie had an update on Mel and Brady already being in American air space, safe and sound. He believes in happy endings again ... Nicole paces at her office, wondering whether it worked. She needs to get close to Zan in order to get the goods on Serena, who has duped Dan, Mel, and Eric. Zan appears almost on cue and claims concern for his friend, given the fight she had with Dan. Nicole flirts a distraction like a drink with him would help. He tells her he must turn her down, for Dan is like family. A little while after he goes, Nicole nervously starts to text Dan to make things right but a call from Zan stops her. He smooth talks her into agreeing to meet him privately later ... At the park, phone Will complains to his work contact that what he sent him on Paul was nothing. He sighs he knows he still has to go to Poplar Bluff for the other story and ends the call. Rafe emerges and warns him not to play with fire. Clyde is DANGEROUS so he should consider his daughter and stay away! Will is painfully aware that the former detective does not exaggerate ... Kate believes Clyde, who intends to sock it to Stefano with a positive article. She departs for her next meeting... Clyde heads to the park and orders his flunky on the phone to roll out the red carpet for Will Horton in Poplar Bluff. Then he has another place to be ... Back at the apartment Sonny dotes on his daughter. He remembers Paul saying he loved him and Will saying he loved him, their wonderful wedding. The door opens and Arianna smiles and coos at arriving Will. Sonny smiles too, feeling he is exactly where he should be ... Hope and Aiden meet at the club. They agree not to discuss work but focus on the personal, like picking up the kids from diva Julie and dapper Doug. Aiden sneaks a kiss first ... Lucas and Adrienne are full dressed again and linger at the open door, looking forward to their first public date ... Justin gets a call and he is on the move ... Will picks up Arianna and announces he has decided to drop the Clyde story, stay in Salem for his family. He tries to hide his fear from relieved Sonny. For a brief moment in time all is well. Now Sonny must step out to the bank before it closes. Will worriedly holds his toddler tight ... Sonny is walking past the park when he gets an unexpected incoming call from Paul ... Will is playing itsy bitsy spider with his daughter. He tells her their little family is all that matters. Knock knock! There stands BIG BAD CLYDE ... Lucas lets Adrienne know he has a meeting for a potential position. She wants another kiss so they smooch at the open door, in plain view of Justin, who stops in his tracks ... THE END! Ahead on Days: Paul wants to come back. Will is spooked by Clyde. Adrienne is upset with Justin. Lucas gets a new gig. |
