Chloe comes to Basic Black and tells Brady and Nicole she would need tomorrow off to help a friend in need. Brady agrees and must go to Rachel. Chloe gives him a wrapped birthday gift for the little girl. He is touched and departs. Chloe now asks Nicole for all the latest ... Sami suggests Lucas is a magnet for women who want to take care of him. Kristen taunts like her and warns he is a puppy. Ring ring! Tis Lucas complaining about the specialist Chloe wants him to see. Brady now shows her Chloe's gift for Rachel. Susan aka Kristen is in a snit when she realizes he saw Chloe at work. She gives Sami a dirty look ... Chloe and Nicole discuss Brady, but Chloe wants to be all about biz. Nicole alludes to Ava and Rafe. Chloe wonders what is happening with them ... Former mob princess Ava points out Nicole is protective of Rafe. He wonders why she would have a problem with them. Ava flashes back to suggesting Nicole really wanted Rafe, who snaps her out of her reverie, wondering why Nicole cares ... - Nicole complains about Ava and Rafe kissing. Chloe makes light of it, but Nicole has issues with the possible match. She admits Ava assumes she wants Rafe. Chloe wonders whether tis true ... Ava points out Nicole would prefer Rafe with another person. Rafe believes this is his and Ava's biz, no one else. She is glad they talked and whispers what now? Their lips slowly start to meet ... Gwen apologizes for her harsh words. Chad sensed it was the sorrow talking and suggests they forget the words they spoke on this night. He wonders who to call for her. She laments being alone and weeps the baby was going to be her new beginning. Chad believes she would have been a good mother. She wipes away her tears and blames Abigail again ... Abigail implores Jack to just say he believes her. He anxiously excuses himself to go to Gwen ... Susan blasts Chloe for the gift but Brady has heard enough and exits. Kristen now threatens to call EJ in Rome and ruin Sami's marriage unless she makes good on her promise to keep Chloe away from Brady. She needs proof her plan is working ... Rafe and Ava's almost kiss is interrupted by his summons to the station. He asks her out to dinner tomorrow. Tis a date. Rafe bids his bella ciao and gets going. She watches him and sips her blood red wine ... Indignant Nicole insists hubby Eric will be home soon! Chloe apologizes but wonders ... Jack enters Gwen's room, so Chad discreetly departs. Tragic music plays. Jack sits at his devastated daughter's bedside. He heard what happened from Abigail. Gwen weeps her baby is gone and cries on his shoulder.
