He promises when Kate is ready he will reveal they reunited. He murmurs he loves her and moves in for a kiss, but Kate moans and wakes up. Then she gasps to faithful friend Jake that she cannot see him or anything. She begs him to stay. Gabi takes off to tell Kayla ... Chad drops by to hand Brady a letter Kristen wrote for Rachel. Marlena offers tea. Chad wants to return to Kate and agrees to keep John in the loop. He warns his sinister sis had the audacity to ask him to help her escape. Naturally, he said no. Brady gets a bad feeling ... Kristen hears Susan is heading home to Roger. She slyly hopes they are still friends and wants a hug goodbye. Susan giggles and obliges. With one swift move Kristen puts her to sleep and prepares to become her again ... Nicole blasts Xander but he claims Sami overreacted. Rafe wants a word with him alone. Xander coos Nicole can go convince Brady to hire him. Once they are alone, Rafe demands the truth and shows denying Xander the damning gun he left behind. The goon insists it was stolen. He also denies Sami’s claim she paid him money. His bank account is full of zeroes. Rafe insists his investigation is continuing and warns him away from his friend Nicole. Xander jokes he only wanted a job, not to seduce her. Rafe scoffs he never could. Xander gets a glint in his eye ... - Jake assures agitated Kate that Gabi left the room. She wonders what happened, so he updates her on Kristen attacking her after she realized she was fake Susan. She panics and he promises her lack of sight will be temporary. Kate claims the last thing she remembers is the romantic trip they were planning when she saw Susan at the mansion ... Kristen is now dressed in Susan’s clothes at the station and holding her hat. Visitor Ava arrives and she admits who she is. Ava refuses to let her flee. Kristen claims she owes her and strongly suggests she forget seeing her ... Rafe returns, greeted by the sight of Ava trying to wake up ‘Kristen.’ Susan wakes up. Ava assures Rafe she found her like this and did not see Kristen ... At the park Kristen puts back her flower hat and vows to come back to Salem soon ... Nicole is with Brady and gets a blackmailing text from Xander. Brady confides he saw Kristen for the last time. Nicole is sympathetic. He appreciates her hard work while Chloe is missing. Nicole suddenly asks to hire Xander. Brady thinks she is nuts ...
