Suited Marlena wants him back in bed but the hero refuses to leave ... Fynn is snapping on the phone for results. They are baffled Arianna developed antibodies and would need such a miracle for the others inflicted ... Patient JJ gets a visit from patient Gabi, who gushes mama's concoction helped her daughter. She gets emotional about wanting him well too ... Chad is looking through a book at DiMera mansion. Ciara suggests he join her and Thomas at the park. He barks NO ... Hope follows Rafe to the park and admits a great deal has happened. He suspects she has doubts about him ... Andre gets glib with Aiden and reminds him he saved his life by not letting him be shot. Aiden demands answers about his six months of hell in prison - why he wanted him alive all that time ... At the nurse's station Kayla gets a call from Steve. He is flying to L.A. only after he knows she is alright ... Joe is disgusted by the garbage at the California commune. Most of the guys there play guitar and write poetry. One approaches Jade and hopes she feels like the family. Joe the trash collector coldly stares at him ... Hope laments she feels lost. First she loved Aiden and then ... Rafe accepts she needs time and assures her he need not know how she feels. Then she kisses him ... Andre admits keeping Aiden alive was a contingency plan in case their lookalike failed. Aiden insists he would not ever have killed Hope. Andre calls him stupid and snaps it was about collecting the insurance. Then the lookalike was killed and the plan was killed cos Hope killed Stefano and set him up. Aiden refuses to believe it. Andre needs a good attorney to clear his good name. Aiden is aghast he actually expects him to take his case. Andre leers let it benefit them both as dangerous drums play ... Chad apologizes and explains he has DiMera financial statements. But if he finishes early he will see Ciara at the park. She glances back at him before she goes ... Hope and Rafe end their long kiss at the tulips. She confesses she feels things are complicated. They agree to take one day at a time and he heads to the hospital for the family. She liked their talk and their kiss ... Aiden wants Andre's posterior in prison for what he put him through. Andre smoothly offers to give him an alibi. He can convince Hope Aiden was telling the truth with his strange story. They argue as Aiden blasts him for preventing him from being around when Chase needed him and refuses. Andre knows better and believes he will work for him again. Aiden sarcastically wishes him the best in the big house and bolts. Andre slowly and smugly leans back with a sly smile. SEE YOU SOOOOOOOON ... Kayla assures Steve her fever is lower and they are close to an antidote. He wishes to see her in person. She urges him to go after their son and bring him back home. Steve cannot say no to the woman he loves. He vows to call her every ten minutes from the plane ... The guy praises Jade's eyes while holding her hands. His name is Dirk. Joey orders him to unhand his girl. Dirk had no idea she belonged to anyone ... Marlena cannot convince John to leave his ailing son's side so she stays at his side as well ... Fynn updates Kayla on the mutation and adds they have an anti-viral on the way. One patient and one dose at a time, three ready soon. First Arianna, then Paul and then JJ. JJ appears with Gabi and insists he will be fine. Mother Gabi should get the antidote before him. JJ is humored and escorted back to his bed with a bad fever. Gabi has a visitor - Rafe at the window. She updates him on Arianna improving and hopes the serum will be there soon ... Ciara is with Thomas and his stroller at the park. She jumps up when Aiden greets her and asks why he is not in jail. He starts to tell her his strange story about the lookalike. She shakes her head at his crazy talk and he tells her to ask her mother. Besides she knows he loves and would never hurt her mother. He wants her back. Ciara tells him it will not happen not after what his son ... Aiden admits he has a hard time accepting it and wonders whether it was a mistake. Ciara snaps Chase assaulted her, and she uses the r word ... Dr. Kayla tells resting patient JJ his temperature has been surging but he will not take that third dose. Kayla is impressed by his bravery and selflessness ... Joey gets rid of the suitor. Jade wonders what is the matter and claims she was testing him. Dirk announces they are having a food run and tells Joey he will drive. They head out though Joey has no idea what comes next ... Hope gets home ... Aiden cannot understand and wonders whether his son misunderstood. Ciara laments he was out to hurt her and others when his life fell to pieces. The baby cries. Rafe comes around the corner and angrily advises Aiden to move on. Ciara takes off with Thomas. Rafe blasts Aiden, who cannot comprehend his son could have done such a thing. Rafe snaps he did do it so he is going to go to prison. Aiden shakes his head ... John and Marlena are thrilled to hear there is a serum on its way. Kayla fixes a tube to prevent Paul's oxygen from being too low. John is so grateful ... Gabi thanks JJ at his bedside. He breathes with difficulty and gushes she is worth it ... Chad imagines pretty Abigail returning home and assuring him the nightmare is over. Time for their happily ever after. They kiss and the baby cries. She goes to see him with a sweet smile. Chad wakes up when Ciara brings the baby back, bothered by whom she saw ... Aiden sits on a bench and brings up Rafe's doppelganger. Rafe can relate to losing part of your life but it changes things for better or worse. Aiden brings up Hope, but Rafe refuses to discuss. Aiden argues he never stopped loving her and they were to be married. Rafe mutters he would need to talk to Hope not him. Meanwhile Hope flashes back to getting engaged to Aiden when she discovers their old wedding announcement in a drawer. She shuts the drawer and the memories ... Steve enjoys a beer with an old buddy in California, who quit the company to go private eye. He teases his colorful look and buddy laughs he looks like a pirate. Now to business. How can he help an old friend? Steve admits his son has gone missing ... Hope is not pleased when Aiden appears at her door. He plays the recording of Strauss they waltzed to once upon a time and waits for a romantic reaction. Hope looks ready to cry ... The P.I. pal gathers Steve has little to go on but believes Joe's bike would have gotten him noticed ... Kayla is almost on a call with Steve but Fynn breezes by with the new antidote so she hastily ends the call ... Back at the commune Dirk brags about the stickup. Joey complains to Jade he cannot afford to face armed robbery charges but the wild thing likes the after buzz. She kisses his lips ... John laments his son is weaker. He seems to be slipping away. Fynn arrives and they wait for him to administer the serum. John fights back the tears ... Gabi goes back to her bed feeling tired and rests her weary head. Kayla arrives and JJ urges her to go to her. Kayla injects her IV, explaining she already gave Arianna her dose. JJ watches, then places his oxygen mask back on ... Ciara is upset about Aiden trying to tell her that his son did not hurt her. Chad sighs sometimes people and situations change forever ... Aiden plays footage of the waltz and weeps he is at a loss. He begs Hope to let him know what he must do to make her love him again. Hope soap stares at him without a word ...
