At the club, Hope thanks Rafe for helping her with a case. She is Chicago bound today. Rafe tells her he hopes she took into consideration what he said about not letting a creep like Clyde create conflict in her love life ... Pensive Abigail meets Mel at the square. They discuss the latest drama of Brady and Mel's lives ... Clyde is in a fine mood at attorney Aiden's office. This is gonna be a big day. First Aiden sighs he is starting to have personal issues due to ... Crafty Clyde cuts him off and assumes he is referring to his son. Aiden appears anxious. Clyde asks about his son, how old he was when he tragically lost his mama. Six. Clyde notes like his boy Ben. Unlike his lawyer he lost his chance with Ben. But that was then this is now. Aiden is at a loss for words ... Mel cannot believe Theresa the terrible is a mother. Abigail is distracted and she wonders. Abigail cannot stop thinking of that kiss she shared with Chad ... Neither can Chad, who is alone with his thoughts at the dark DiMera mansion. That is until Kate sweeps in ... Will is seated at a table of the only diner in Poplar Bluff and sighs to Sonny he is bored over the phone. Mr. Mom Sonny still does not get why Will went. He tells him to hang on when someone knocks on the door. He tells Will must be the sitter, then stops when he finds himself face to face with smiling PAUL. Will asks if he is still on the line. Sonny stammers he is and was not the sitter, they will talk later. Will reminds him he loves him. Sonny states him too and hangs up. Sonny sincerely hopes Paul did not come back now because Will is away. Paul pleasantly assures him that is not the case. Sonny accepts that and steps away to see to the crying toddler. Paul perceives a picture of the happy little family and pauses ... Marlena stirs on the landed plane, only to learn she is back to answer questions about Kristen's death. Marlena is mad about the drugged tea but out of her home jurisdiction... Bearded Ben makes an unexpected appearance at Aiden's office. Clyde announces he is here to make him proud. Ben has had many names while on the run but now wants to make it official and go back to being a Weston, just like Clyde, who is beaming ... Abigail admits her angst to Mel, claiming confusion that was created when Ben made a confession about his past. She lets it slip there was another HIM and Mel does that math. She means CHAD! Abigail stammers about going to console him and putting her arms around him. One thing led to another and they kissed. Mel calls that the old chemistry. It happens! Abigail would rather not think about it. Mel sweetly suggests some retail therapy so off they go to shop for Arianna, who is about to celebrate her second birthday ... Chad grins Kate came to blast him. She confirms she is cross about Lucas getting stuck in the middle of a war between Stefano and Victor. However, it was a well played maneuver. Her eyes soften and she shares her condolences over losing Kristen of crazy sister fame ... Sonny steps out holding his blonde toddler. Paul is taken with her and asks to hold her. Within seconds her chocolate milk is spilled on his shirt. Sonny suggests he let him wash it and gets him one of Will's shirts to wear. It is not the best fit, though. Paul is surprised Sonny did not tell Will he was coming back to Salem. Sonny thinks there was not enough time. He solemnly repeats what he told his father - that he and Will are completely committed to making their relationship work. Paul woefully admits he had wanted to believe otherwise but respects Sonny's situation. He wants him to be happy ... Will intrigues a waitress at the diner, who would be thrilled to help the writer who is doing a magazine piece on their town. Her face falls when he casually asks what the townsfolk think of Clyde and she scurries back to the kitchen ... Hope explains how it exasperates her that Aiden has been duped by Clyde. Rafe lets it slip he is like Stefano so she would not win against him ... Chad sarcastically states he still has Stefano and questions Kate's concern. Kate calls Stefano even worse than Kristen ... Marlena has been moved to Kristen's castle. She peers down her window of death, then turns back only to find herself face to face with Stefano. He has been mourning, drinking, and his dark eyes flash with rage ... Chad snaps he is not Kate's son. She reminds him she was married to Stefano and was the one who helped him navigate his new family. Chad scoffs ... Rafe urges Hope to talk to Aiden and not let Clyde come between them. Ciara appears announcing mommy blew it. Hope wants some respect. Rafe grins and gets the girl to buy a couple of chocolate croissants. He tells Hope not to let Clyde come between her and Aiden. Hope decides she will speak to him before leaving for Chicago on police business ... Aiden gets a touching text from Chase with a picture of Hope, Aiden and the two kids. He smiles wistfully about the wonderful moments ... Paul is pleased Will's career is doing well. Sonny sighs if only he would stop writing about the locals and landing himself in one mess after another. Paul jokes nothing could be as bad as his own scandalous story. One hopes not ... Mel and Abigail arrive with gifts for Arianna the girl in pink. Sonny warmly opens the door. Mel deduces that must be Will holding Ari with his back to them at an angle and greets him as such. Paul turns around with a wide smile ... Stefano ominously states he grew up nearby with such wonderful views as the one from that window. It is the last view his dear daughter Kristen ever saw! Marlena is sorry for his loss. First Lexie, then EJ and Kristen ...Stefano chuckles dangerously. The blonde meets his sinister stare ... Aiden is happy when Hope tells him she had to come before going to Chicago. He is relieved and laughs Clyde is a regular guy. Hope suddenly states they should be friends. Aiden sadly agrees but when she tries to go he takes her in his arms and kisses her passionately. She kisses him back and all seems well in their world ... Mel and Abi are astounded. Paul updates them on returning at the request of his biological father the legendary John Black. Mel gasps then he is Brady's half-brother. Paul complains about Brady's reaction and the rudeness of his girlfriend, thinking it to be Theresa. Mel and Abi enlighten him that Mel is the only girlfriend! Paul is pleased to meet the daughter of Dr. Jonas. Mel updates Paul on Brady's baby drama and he promises to give him another chance. Sonny holds his daughter and takes it all in ... Kate repeats she is here if Chad needs her though she will not take his hiring Lucas sitting down. He smiles he would not have it any other way. Once alone he gets to thinking about the call from Stefano about his sister's demise, the need for secrecy ... Mel gets a text and tells the gang she must go. Paul also excuses himself. Alone with Sonny, Abigail asks him about Paul's presence. Sonny chuckles and shakes his head. He insists Paul has accepted him with Will but Abi saw the look in the all-star's eyes ... Back at the bad luck castle, Stefano dangerously declares he wants to refresh Marlena's memory on what it feels like to lose a child. The bible says an eye forrr an eye! She gets indignant he would dare threaten Sami, for his grandchildren need their mother ... Clyde tells his mountain man flunky to do as ordered and ends the call when he sees Kate at the park. He gives her a kiss, feeling emotional about Ben carrying on the family name ... Rafe is troubled when he runs into Ben, who boasts he is now a Weston. He admits Jordan does not yet know. Rafe gets a bad feeling ... Hope and Aiden are interrupted when his next appointment is buzzed. Hope gets her purse and gushes as she goes. They are good again. For now ... Sonny admits he is exasperated with Will changing his mind and running off to Poplar Bluff but he is determined to make them work ... Clyde's mountain man flunky pays Will a visit at his table and tells the writer to come with him NOW! Will looks worried ... Chad has summoned Mel to the mansion. He asks her to tell him the tale of what really happened at the castle where Kristen died. He is aware she was there ... Marlena calmly states Stefano could have killed her in Salem. He rages he wants her to see the same thing Kristen saw when she made her fall to her death and dares her to give him one reason NOT to kill her ...! THE END! Ahead on Days: The Salem PD scramble to save Marlena. Chad gets a chance to do the right thing. Nicole turns down Dan again. |
