Abigail’s new alter is Dr. Laura in glasses and ponytail, who stops Stefan from phoning for help. Downstairs Chad ends a biz call and then hears Gabi’s panic message about planted proof. Meanwhile Detective Lani catches Gabi trying to dump said proof and orders her to stop. She orders to put it down and step aside. Tis the coat the cops were after, the coat the prime suspect was wearing when Andre was killed. Gabi gasps she was set up ... At the Kiriakis mansion Eve is happy as a clam with a tray. Sonny states she seems to be taking over as lady of the house. She gushes she is marrying Brady today. Sonny is surprised and gives her a strange look ... At the square Brady thanks lawyer Justin for the necessary paperwork. Justin is baffled about him getting married. Brady is over the moon to marry the woman who makes him and Tate so happy. Justin questions whether he loves her. Brady murmurs yes ... Gabi begs Lani to leave her be and blasts her for sleeping with Eli. She owes her a favor! Alas it does not work. Lani declares she was disposing of evidence. Gabi now hears the cops were tipped off. Ring ring! She tells Lani to talk to caller Chad, who knows the truth but Lani takes her to the station instead ... Dr. Laura of Abigail’s psyche is her grandmother the psychiatrist. She tells Stefan he stressed the poor girl out so she had to emerge. She is the gatekeeper of all the alters ... Justin is supposed to marry Eve and Brady but gets sidetracked by a call from Chad. Paul overhears Brady is marrying Eve. Brady insists he is elated ... Sonny assumed Eve and Brady were casual. The hopeful bride gushes they are going to be a real family. He warns her against getting her hopes up for Brady attempted to frame her! He also suggests Brady’s real angle might be to get control of Titan. Eve begs to differ and accuses him of being bitter about Will and Paul ... Paul points out Brady had asked him to dig up dirt on Eve. That was then this is now and now Brady asks him to come to his happy occasion. Brady the love addict is over the moon to be in love again ... Eli sits with JJ at the pub and complains about Trask sending Lani to a hot lead instead of him. He knows Lani was in hospital and hopes the baby is alright. Fine. Eli offers to get her desk duty and only wants the best for the baby. JJ wonders whether she went and made him godfather, hence his protective streak ... At the station Lani hands Trask the evidence from the overnight bag. Gabi gasps someone planted it there ... Studious Stefan has read about gatekeepers. Dr. Laura is impressed by his reading material and confirms she came out cos the Gabi alter lacks self-control at times. She calls him cruel for removing alter Gabi’s wig. Stefan wants to know who they really are. The people who saved Abigail’s sanity as well as her life ... Eli withdraws. Lani arrives and informs JJ she had to arrest Gabi for trying to destroy evidence. Eli curses and takes off ... Back at the station Justin tells off Trask for hounding his client as Chad solemnly stands at the door, arms folded. Justin wants a word alone with his client. Trask taunts first they must meet with the judge. She will have Gabi’s bail revoked stat. They step away together. Chad asks Gabi for the full story. She thinks no one will believe her Stefan story. Chad warns her she made things worse ... As the Gatekeeper Laura facilitates the transitions. Stefan now realizes that the alters are not even aware of one another. Laura gets technical about Abigail compartmentalizing her actions, especially cos she was the one who killed Andre ... Stefan recalls the Gabi alter confessed to killing Andre. The good doctor explains the persona of Gabi only exists to protect Abigail from the hard truth. Stefan sighs but Abigail loved Andre. He wonders what really happened that fateful night ... At the pub with JJ, Lani is perturbed she had to arrest Gabi as per protocol. JJ suspects she was set up and wants to go see her. Lani remembers Gabi snapping she owed her something as she knew of her affair with Eli. She now suggests they give Gabi and Eli their space. JJ agrees and adds Eli was worried about her and the baby. Lani looks nervous ... Eli arrives and Chad has to leave the room. Gabi bitterly complains about Lani and how he did not answer her call. Eli is sorry he was otherwise occupied and asks her to let him help her ... Sonny is somewhat hurt to be reminded he is alone so Eve apologizes. Brady arrives with the license and Paul the witness. Brady wants a moment alone with his bride. He presents her with a ring, reducing her to tears. Now she runs upstairs to prepare and whispers she loves him. Brady stresses for a split second since it all seems too good to be true ... In the living room Paul notes to Sonny that Brady and Eve do seem happy. Paul points out Brady’s track record is not great and recalls how his is not great either. Paul points out he chose Will just before their wedding. Sonny heard about them being locked up together and sarcastically states his and Will’s divorce is almost dry. That means Paul can pursue that relationship if he so desires. Paul replies he did not want it to be this way. Neither did sad Sonny ... Gabi gasps to Eli that Stefan got close to her daughter when he planted that proof. Attorney Justin is back with bad news. Her bail has been revoked. He will work to have it reinstated but in the meantime she must remain in a holding cell. Gabi hyperventilates. Justin will call Sonny to look after Ari and assures her he and Adrienne are here as well. Gabi appreciates it. Eli promises to get her proof that Stefan set her up and hugs the woman he loves ... Dr. Laura refuses to reveal what is not Stefan’s business. In addition she intends to protect Abigail and suggests he stay away from her. When Stefan suggests she likes having him around and kissed him, Laura accuses him of settling for alter Gabi as he knows Abigail loves only Chad ... Lani hates that JJ discussed her pregnancy with Eli but JJ likes that her police partner has her back. She asks about his studies and laughs when he states he could deliver a baby. He cannot wait to be a hands on dad and kisses her across the table. Lani smiles ... At the Kiriakis mansion Justin sits with Sonny and Paul. Sonny will contact Will after the wedding and help with Ari. They are appalled by Gabi being set up. Back to the wedding ... Brady comes downstairs and states Tate still has a fever. He ignores an incoming call from grandpa Victor and admires his bride in white. Justin presides as Sonny and Paul bear witness ... Laura accuses Stefan of being obsessed with Abigail but the girl loves the man she is married to. That is why he was happy to settle for Gabi. Stefan was happy to help her, hence his planting of evidence on the real Gabi. The gatekeeper warns him that alter Gabi will have a hard time when she talks to her about the fact that she is not the real Gabi. Stefan grins and offers to do it instead. Dr. Laura disagrees and warns he will not see that Gabi again. She orders him to keep his distance and is done. When she walks out Stefan considers .... Real Gabi laments she promised Arianna she would be home tonight but she will not be there! She blames Stefan. Eli plans to uncover who was impersonating her that night on the footage. For that is the key to finding the real killer ... Downstairs at DiMera mansion, demure Abigail is back, blissfully unaware of her alters. She is baffled how she came to be in the living room. Chad returns home and hugs his wife, who is now dealing with missing time ... Brady takes Eve to be his lawful wedded wife to love and cherish ... Now it is her turn to say the same. She hisses she would not marry him if he was the last man on earth! Brady the loser in love looks like he has been slapped a thousand times ... BOOM! |
